IE7.0  Problems

Hi Gurus,
I've developed small Application in the NWDS (2004s).
I'm using in IE7.0,when i open the Portal using IE7.0 Everything works fine ,but
When i go to Content Administration-->Portal Content, to create a new folder for placing the IVIEWs,Pages,Work Sets and Roles,
When i right click on the Portal content i'm getting the Browser Options, not the EP Options.
Previously when i was using the IE6.0, i didn' get these problems.
Is there any settings to do in IE7.0 to display the EP Options when i right click on the Portal Content Folder?
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,
Adi.

Hi,
Microsoft IE 7 browser version will be supported starting with following Web Dynpro support packages:
NetWeaver04, SPS19
NetWeaver04s, SP10
You can go for upgrade to workable version or apply the workaround given in the Note 991449 - Web Dynpro and Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 7.0
Hope this helps !

  • Flash & IE7 Weird Problem

    Help!!!
    I'm having a problems getting a site to work in IE7. It works
    fine in Firefox, but in IE7, not a chance.
    Here's the
    Link
    Once in the site, go to the Gallery. Click on any of the two
    thumbnails on the left. A window will open with a short blurb and a
    choice of 2 or 3 links. Select the slideshow. The slideshow will
    load up and start fine. Close the window and click the other
    thumbnail. It won't load up (To be clear here, both the thumbnails
    have an "on release" javascript in them), Nothing! Click on any of
    the other links on the top... About, Contact, etc. They won't load
    up either. As a matter of fact, you won't even be able to refresh
    the page. This does't happen in FireFox. It works beautifully
    there, just as it should.
    Is there a fix for this IE7 Problem? Is it a simple
    JavaScript that I need?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Seems to work here. IE7, Win XP Pro.

  • IE7 CSS Problems

    http://crossmills.org/misc/CS3/cs3_test_2c.html
    The above page looks good in FireFox2 but a horror show in
    IE7: styling missing from header, footer and central column;
    central column alignment out of wack with relation to left nav and
    too close to footer.
    Is the problem mine or IE's? Either way, what do I have to do
    to fix it?
    Using WindowsXP.
    Thanks.

    The problem is with the way you are defining and naming your
    custom tags. Check out these 2 MSDN articles regarding how to give
    names to custom HTML tags:

  • IE7 Footer Problems

    I'm having a problem with a  floating footer in IE7. It will not stay at the bottom of the page in IE7, but sits in the middle of my last photo.  It does exactly what it should in all other  browsers I've tested it on, on both Mac and PC. I'm new to CSS, and I've spent all day trying solutions on various forums, but with no luck. I'm sure it's an easy fix, probably having to do with clearing floats (maybe?), but I have no idea what else to try and I'm losing my patience! I have a test page up here: http://www.mearesdentistry.com/test/ourteam. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

    98% of browser rendering issues are code related.  Clean code = fewer things to rule out.
    Remove the CSS height property from your #container and #welcome divisions.
    Explicit height values on containers restricts how much content they can hold.  Page height must remain flexible.

  • IE7.0 problems (IdeaCentre K210 - 53134BU)

    Hello again guys, it appears that no one has been able to help me with some of the other problems that I am having with my IdeaCentre K210 - 53134BU system, let's see if any has experienced and/or, might have an idea of what's going on with Internet Explorer?
    First off, IE takes "forever" to load and I say this because I also have Mozilla and am using it instead of IE because of the loading problem but more because IE seems to crash / lock (for no apparent reason)!
    I have noticed that if I open Yahoo Mail with IE and the note has a hyperlink to a Website, if I clink on the link a BLANK new page opens up and after a few minutes, I see Not Responding and have to close IE.
    I also noticed that if I have three SEPARATE IE sessions open and one of the sessions advises me NOT RESPONDING, when I close that sessions ALL IE windows/sessions shut down.
    This is a MAJOR nuisance and I do NOT use IE and was wondering am I alone or have any of you also had problems with IE?
    Thanks,
    Bob

    hi
    did you try removing it completly or try to use IE8 beta 2?
    IE8 can reopen tabs which have either crashed or have been closed which are un-responsive try it..

  • IE7 Embedding problems

    I embedded the code onto a website, and I get the following
    error
    "Could not access file. The file may have been deleted by the
    owner or you do not have permission to access it."
    The problem is that this error only happens on IE, I have
    tried accessing the same website from multiple computers using
    FireFox, and it loads just fine.
    All the computers in which this error has been happening have
    been updated with the latest Flash revision (9,0,124,0).
    What could be causing the problem?
    Thanks,
    Noshi

    ok, nevermind, for some reason, it stopped working after a
    while.
    I still don't understand what might be causing it, I can see
    it in other browsers (Firefox, Opera and Safari) but I still can't
    see it on Internet Explorer.
    Is there some bug? has there been anybody else also
    complaining about this problem?
    Thanks for your help!

  • Spry drop down menu not showing in IE7

    I'm using Dreamweaver CS5, Windows 7 64bit OS, and tested in IE8 or newer and firefox all working perfectly.  (with the exception of IE7).
    the problem can be viewed at www.maxdailydeal.com
    the drop down sub-menu are not displaying on IE7, can anyone help please.
    Many thanks in advance!
    -max-

    All throughout this forum we  explain that you should stay away from absolute and relative positioned  elements. Again I shall say STAY AWAY FROM ABSOLUTE AND RELATIVE  POSITIONED ELEMENTS.
    To illustrate this, remove id="floatdiv" from the menu container and you shall see that the menu works. OK, the  menu may not look like you want it to, but this can easily be fixed with  proper CSS.

  • WRT54G v6 firmware upgrade under Vista problem

    I'm not sure if this is related to Vista or not.
    I downloaded the correct firmware version for WRT54G v6 and selected upgrade using the web interface. After a few minutes, the browser directed me to a site with the following URL
    http://192.168.1.1/upgrade.tri
    My IE7 had problem displaying this page and the Power LED on the router kept blinking. I tried to connect to the web interface and it was still showing Firmware Version: v1.00.9
    I don't think there is anything wrong with what I did and not sure if the upgrade was successful. Any suggestions?

    I had the same problem. I found the solution here http://www.scorpiontek.org/portal/content/view/27/36/1/3/:
    This could be because you are accessing the router over HTTPS. You cannot upload firmware or settings to a WRT54G v5 over a HTTPS connection unless you have Linksys firmware v1.00.9 or later. Try accessing it using just plain HTTP.
    Enabling and using http instead of https worked for me. No need to reset or reconfigure.
    I upgraded from 1.00.1 (IIRC) to 1.02.2.

  • ITune does not open after installing IE7

    I have recently installed Internet Explorer 7 on my Window XP (with service pack 2). This causes me problem in opening iTune right now. After removing IE7, then restart the computer and reinstall iTune, I still cannot open iTune.
    Does anyone aware of this problem? Any suggestion as in how I can iTune running again. I have all songs organized in iTune and I have just used for long time. I want it to run again.
    Please help!!!
    Thanks

    Hi, Denise.
    There are no particular problems iTunes has running with IE7 - no problems I have or I have heard of - so let's try to get an idea of what might be going on with some preliminary questions from b noir's "smack" for iTunes fails to launch situations:
    Is there an error message associated with the launch failure?
    If so, what does it say and what (if any) error numbers are there?
    If there's not an error mesage, let's check your QuickTime (its well-being is a prerequisite to a functioning iTunes).
    Go to the XP Start menu > All Programs and try running QuickTime.
    Does it start?
    If not, then the same question as for iTunes - is there an error message?
    If so, what does it say and what (if any) error numbers are there?
    Do you notice any other peculiar behavior with QuickTime?

  • 2-column elastic layout and size of text/image

    Hello,
    I'm using the 2-column-elastic template of Dreamweaver CS4 and have got a few questions related to its use. As far as I understand it (I'm new to HTML, CSS, etc.), it is elastic because the dimensions of the divs are defined with the unit "em" and will resize if the user changes the text size of the browser. (Is this the best for accessibility purposes?)
    Question 1: how to make sure my page is initially 780 px wide?
    I have a banner image in the header, it has a 780-px width. Under it there is a menu made of five 156-px elements.
    I have defined the default page text size to 80 % instead of 100 %. Apparently, 780 px is equal to 61 em with these settings. Hence, I defined the width of the container to 61 em (instead of the 46 em at 100 % of the Adobe template). However, this didn't always work: depending on the browser, a thin 1-px wide line appeared to the right of the banner.
    To try to fix this, I have set a "min-width: 780px" and "width: 60em", hoping that doing so my page would have an initial width of 780 px but still resize (increase) if the text size is increased in the browser. If the text size is decreased, I keep a 780-px width. Is this the normal way to proceed? The property "min-width" returns a warning when I validate the side for browser compatibility. Same for min-height by the way (I'd like my page to be roughly 30 em high at minimum).
    Question 2: how can I make sure that my banner will expand when the text size is increased?
    When I increase the text size in the browser, the text of my page resizes and depending on the browser, the banner image will expand or not. I would like it to always resize to keep a consistent layout. How can I do this?
    The banner currently resizes with:
    - Mac OS X: Opera 9;
    - Windows XP: Safari 4beta (but the menu bar seems narrower), Firefox 3, Opera 9, IE 8.
    The image doesn't currently resize with:
    - Mac OS X: Safari 3, Netscape Navigator 9, Stainless 0.5, Camino 1.6, Firefox 3;
    - Windows XP: Netscape Navigator 9, Chrome 1, IE6 (+ other problems), IE7 (+ other problems)
    (Other problems: usual unwanted spaces between the banner, the menu and the "title". I managed to fix some of them with "display: block", but it doesn't work around the top menu.)
    I've put the page here: http://www.cerc.co.uk/CERC/demotest/template2columns.html
    If there is any problem to view it, let me know (first time I do this!).
    I would be very grateful for any comment on these!
    Emilie

    just an added note here:
    This past hour I tried to get centering of images, text and background to fit properly in both IE (5,6 and 7) and Firefox.
    Centering with a liquid layout (which I prefer due to its better "said" predictability) is an absolute pain (nothing would seem to fit); I reverted back to elastic layout because of this issue.

  • Buttons in tabbed panels

    EDIT: Nevermind, had to set flow layout for the inner panels. Thanks!
    Hello, so I have an application using swing, and it has tabs that allow a user to move between different options that the program has... unfortunatly when I added the tabs and added the buttons to the tabbed pane, they are very tall, and stretched, impossible to use (if you like, I can post a pic)...
    I believe I know whats wrong, and how to fix it, I just dont know how to go about doing it... am I correct in that I need to create a sub grid layout and attach that to the pane, then attach the buttons to that?
    Heres the code that I believe is causing the problem...
                        JTabbedPane jtbExample = new JTabbedPane();
                        setLayout(new GridLayout(1, 1));
                      JPanel jplInnerPanel1 = createInnerPanel("Tab 1 Contains Tooltip and Icon");
                      jtbExample.addTab("One", jplInnerPanel1);
                      jtbExample.setSelectedIndex(0);
                      JPanel jplInnerPanel2 = createInnerPanel("Tab 2 Contains Icon only");
                      jtbExample.addTab("Two", jplInnerPanel2);
                      JPanel jplInnerPanel3  = createInnerPanel("Tab 3 Contains Tooltip and Icon");
                      jtbExample.addTab("Three", jplInnerPanel3);
                      JPanel jplInnerPanel4 = createInnerPanel("Tab 4 Contains Text only");
                      jtbExample.addTab("Four", jplInnerPanel4);
                      //Add the tabbed pane to this panel.
                      add(jtbExample);
              for(int x = 0; x < diceRollNumber; x++){
                   dInput[x] = new JTextField(10);
                   jplInnerPanel1.add(dInput[x]);
                   dButton[x] = new JButton("Roll");
                   dButton[x].setToolTipText("Click to roll. EX 1D4+2");
                   dButton[x].addActionListener(this);
                   dButton[x].setSize(10,10);
                 jplInnerPanel1.add(dButton[x]);
                 dOutput[x] = new JTextField(4);

    Thanks for the responses. Later in the day, I found the
    answer. It's an IE bug sometimes known as the guillotine bug. Guess
    it's been around in IE6 for a while, but IE7 has problems with it
    as well. It has to do with the float not taking up the right around
    of space especially when using a hover behavior. There are some
    workarounds, but the easiest was to add the following CSS to the
    image tag:
    position: relative
    That took care of it. Don't know why, but hey, it works!
    Thanks again for checking it out.

  • Accordion Issue with Spry 1.6

    I have not been able to make the Accordion widget operate
    consistently in IE 7. Occasionally it will not display all the
    information within the Panel tab. An example, using IE7, can be
    seen when repeatedly selecting California at
    www.Qualite1.com/contactUs.html.
    Need help!

    Fixed -
    It turns out that the table that was containing the accordion
    widget had a background image attribute set and was causing the
    animation in IE7 some problems. After changing it to use a css
    class instead there have been no problems at all.

  • Spry page tie-up.

    I have three pages on my web site that will not completely
    load sometimes. This is not a IE6 problem but it is an IE7-Spry
    problem. What can be done to force the load of these pagaes? Some
    users can usually get the pages to load with IE7 but there are some
    others which most of the time can not load the data. This is
    definitely a Spry-IE7 problem. Any solutions?

    Hi don0212,
    Are these pages including that same Flash movie at the top?
    The one with the beach scene. When I looked at one of your previous
    pages, that Flash movie was pegging my CPU when it was in view
    *and* it seemed to be killing the processing of timers in the
    Browser which is why Spry never got a chance to do any processing.

  • Adobe Flash Player hangs IE8

    This is on a Vista Home Professional machine.
    After upgrading to Internet Explorer 8, the browser crashes
    after several minutes -- usually after several tabs are opened at
    the same time.
    I have disabled ALL add-ons...and through process of
    elimination discovered that the Flash Player is the culprit.
    I have uninstalled (using the special uninstall tool) and
    reinstalled Flash Player several times. I've even looked to see if
    there were old versions of Flash Software still left on the
    computer. All appears clean.
    The only way to close IE8 when it hangs is to either "Log
    Off" or "Restart/Shut Down". I cannot close IE8 through the Task
    Manager as I'm given an error message about not having access.
    Other software that could affect this outcome are: SpySweeper
    and McAfee Security Suite.
    When Installing (and consequently uninstalling) the Flash
    Player, I have Shut Down SpySweeper and disabled Virus/Firewall/Spy
    Scanning in McAfee.
    Finally, when I remove IE8 (and restore IE7), these problems
    still appear.
    I'm at my wits end and unable to get any solution.
    Ideas???

    I have had ZERO luck getting any Flash Problems solved here.
    Good Luck.

    Please help.

    Most probably your EM console is not properly configured. You could be required to reconfigure it or even rebuild the EM repository. Check this EM DB Control Reconfigure
    On the other hand, even though the browser version doesn't seem to be an issue here, check it any way. IE7 has problems when you try to execute the EM Console, since the enhanced security has several issus that prevent EM from properly working.
    Also, let me know if your are currently working on DHCP, if this is the case then you should setup a loopback adapter to have a fixed IP.
