IE7 doesn't show put Sidebar1 where it should be
Will someone please look at my website: www.giselleaguiar.com on IE7. It looks fine in Firefox, the sidebar1 should be on the left side not up next to the header on the right. I've tried changing the float, width, margins, padding to no avail. I'm stumped. It looks ok in Dreamweaver and when I check browser compatibility, nothing comes up.

Thats the weirdest part. I think it might just be really quick boot time, because I've been having to reboot a good bit lately, and it actually worked every other time or so. I think the black screen might just be SDDM trying to catch up or something. Weird, but I'll take it I suppose.

I have problem when I updated iOS7 yesterday. At first, there was a message popped out in my Iphone 4 said "iOS7 available for u to update, then i clicked "update", then it said "wait while it verifying", after that my phone tuned blank and what i saw was only the "logo of apple". Until now i see only that Apple logo, i can't either switch my phone on or off.

Any solution?You need to restart the phone in DFU mode and update the software.
To restart the phone in DFU mode press the power and home button simultaneously for like 10 seconds once the phone is switched off release the power button keep holding the home button while you connect to the computer which has Itunes running and then you can restore or update the software, you can download the update and connect after the software has been downloaded if your phone disconnects, And enjoy you new IOS7. -
List view shows black spaces where letters should be
G5, dual 2.5GHrz, 10.3.9
Just recently when I'm in list view, spaces appear where letters should be. In Icon and Column view everything appears correctly. I have shut down and restarted and corrected permissions. None of that seems to help. Any ideas what might be causing this?

TomI found a solution. I moved the preference file named "com.apple.desktop.plist" from the /Users/HomeFolder/Library/Preferences to the desktop and restarted.

Booting doesn't show all the stuff it should
Sorry for the title being vague, but there is no easy way to describe it really.
Ever since I plugged in my 'new' monitor (read, free old 4:3 panel), the computer boots, shows the parts about file checks, but goes to a blank, black screen for 10 to 15 seconds and proceeds to the login screen. Now, this isn't a major problem, but I'd like to see where SystemD is enabling/starting all the background processes. I've found that to be very helpful when troubleshooting in the past, and I'd rather have it scrolling past so I know everything is working correctly.
I was wondering if it could have to do with the difference is monitor resolutions and aspect ratios, because one monitor (it's a small, bad TV), is 16:9 aspect ratio, at like, 1360x768 pixels, and the actual monitor is 1200x1024 pixels or something to the same effect. And because its relevant, my graphics card is a Nvidia GTX 560 TI, and the tv is hooked up by HDMI and the monitor is hooked up by DVI.
If anyone can help, that'd be great. I didn't do anything to set up the new monitor after plugging it in, so did I miss something after doing that, or? Like I said, it isn't a huge problem, but I'd still like it fixed. Thanks!GloW_on_dub wrote:What is your kernel command line ?

Mail shows a ? where photos should be
In the past I was able to see photos in my mail. Now when I open up an email there is a ? where the photos used to be. I looked at some of the settings but I haven't been able to resolve this yet. Thanks for any help!
OK I sent myself a photo as was able to display it. The photos in the email I think they are imbedded in the email. If I right click on the photos they do not show up as a link. They display properly in Yahoo Mail and did also display on my Iphone at one time. I was thinking I set something that caused this problem. Thanks again for the help.

Photobooth & iPhoto show black screen where photos should be??
My iPhoto shows a black screen whenever I click on a picture. I can't see the photo when I want to edit it and it does not let me enlarge any of the pictures.
Also, my Photo Booth shows a black screen where its supposed to show the webcam picture. If I click on the white space where the thumbnails of previous pictures are supposed to show up, it pops up a different screen with the pictures already taken. But, I still cannot see the webcam picture.
If anybody could help solve this problem, I would greatly appreciate it.

Mouse Pointer shows "Edit Cursor" "|" where it should be a arrow (pointer)
I have noticed that at times the mouse pointer shows a Edit cursor when it should be
a standard mouse arrow.
This happens when a leave one application and navigate to another application.
I am able to use the "|" cursor to click, but it seems rather odd.
I would really like to know if someone else has noticed this?Are you using Fast User Switching (FUS)? Are you running an application that keeps a window always on top?
I have encountered a reproducible problem which causes the mouse pointer to fail to revert to the default arrow. I do not know if it is a general OS X issue, or caused by this specific app only (I just reported the problem to the app vendor, will report back on the resolution).
In my case, if user "A" is running a program that has an "always on top" window, and that application has the "focus", and I then use FUS to switch to any other user, the mouse pointer for that user will "stick" in its most recent variation - be it a pointing finger (for a link), an edit cursor, a window resize cursor, etc. If you move from a link for example to a text box, the cursor will change to the new form, but it will not revert to the default arrow. To "solve" the problem, do this:
before using FUS to change to another user, click on another application (e.g. the Finder), so that the problem application does not have the "focus". Does any of this relate to your problem? -
My number shows "Unknown Number" where it should show my number.
I have searched for a Help topic on this and can't find anything besides in the phone app, to swipe down from the top. I have gone through my settings multiple times and can't find anything to change except for the "show my number" setting tickbox.
Has anyone else had this issue and have you found a way to correct it?

Older epson 1250 Scanner doesn't show in PSE 6 (mac)
I have an epson 1250 several years old. It doesn't show in PSE6 for import. It does show in preview so I can scan that way. I recently dowloaded the latest driver for the 1250, didn't help.
You don't ever open plugins. You just put them where they should be and access them through the program itself.

Epson's driver support for older scanners is very spotty. Did you try installing the older utility, as I suggested?
That is a dead end - back to mac classic days. No I think I have the right driver. It works with the mac preview app and if i open it from system preferences. But I use PSE 6 a lot and would like to be able to scan with it. I installed the rosetta software and restarted the computer. I guess it may be time to call it quits unless you have another idea? IPhone doesn't show anywhere except in iTunes and device manager.
My iPhone working, tethering and syncing property but does not show anywhere else. I need to back up the photos after some recent events and on a PC which just creates an encrypted file in an Apple file folder.
I can see the phone using an external program but the copy functions not there anymore. Picture wizard says there is no camera there. I have tried uninstalling the device and re-install. I have removed and installed iTunes and now have restore the phone completely. Picture wizard says there is no camera there. It does show in device manager and iTunes but oesn't show in Windows Explorer.
If I plug it into another computer it doesn't show in that either. Had a client over last night and his iPhone showed up on both computers and both started the camera wizard, So I'm thinking it's something in the phone. I need the photos backed up.
ThanksThis has really stumped me. I'm fairly well read on the iPhone software and related stuff. I also had some other tech savvy guys here last night and three brains had no answers. One thinks it must be hardware. I tend to disagree with that only because it charges, syncs, restores which tells me the hardware is working fine. i keeping this in mind that it's visible in iTunes(A) and Device Manager(XP). It's not visible in My Computer, Windows, Explorer or Control Panel. I can run a third party application on the iPhone and can see photos but the application won't let me copy them. I have some important photos that I need backed up. I have tried the phone on four other computers and it doesn't show on any where as the other phone shows up and works the way it should on those four computers. Same with reinstalling the drives, first one doesn't install, second one does. That simply narrows it down to the phone. I've restored the phone and it worked perfectly replacing the photos, oh and it was also working 6 weeks ago. So what's stopping it???? Arrr... its got me. I can usually fix those type of issues.

Server Admin Doesn't show info for Software Update Service
In server admin, under the settings and available updates, I see a list of available updates, but they are labelled with the hash code for the update, not the name, and the info panel doesn't show any information like it should. We have our corporate firewall configured to allow connections to the server apple uses for this service so that we can get the updates. Any suggestions?
That option is only available after upgrading to iOS 5. It appears you have a 2nd generation unit, which can not be upgraded beyond iOS 4.2.1.

Switch doesn't show any log when AC is put in back.
I'm using two kind of switches i.e Cat2960S-24TD-L and Cat2960S-48TS-L with RPS2300 for backup power.
One question was raising in my head during the power redundancy test on the switches.
My question is how NMS can recognize that AC power is put in back as normal status without any log.
Each switch has two power sources. One from AC built-in power and the other from RPS2300 as below.

The problem is how the operator can decide 'Now AC power is okay so I will push the button on RPS to make it backup again' without getting any information from the switch.Hi innetee9228:
If the output of "show env all" doesn't change when you put the AC power back in, that's indicating a bigger problem. You see the %PLATFORM_ENV-1-PWR: message go when the power comes out, so there should be one when the power goes back. That's more indicative of an IOS problem where the status isn't getting updated as it should.
The SNMP agent rides along side the guts of the IOS that feed the SHOW commands. If the hardware isn't reporting correctly or whatever and "show env all" doesn't tell the truth, it's not likely that the SNMP agent is going to be receiving truth, either.
Once you have that addressed, you should be able to turn up power supply event traps and send them to whatever SNMP Manager you'd like, and have that alert your operator.

It was Love Actually. It's been in my library a few years but is now missing. It's odd...it isn't even in the iTunes Store anymore. I think there is a rights issue because a message appeared in the store saying it wasn't available at this time in the U. S. store. Still, if I bought it years ago it should be in my library or I should get a refund....

syncing iphone and can't seem to transfer audiobooks that i have put in a playlist. Sync menu doesn't show all playlists. Help
I have the same problem with podcast playlists. When I go to the music window in my iPhone devices section, the playlists I have created on my macbook pro in iTunes do not appear as an option to sync with the iPhone. I know some web radios streams, like the BBC, won't transfer because of compatibility issues, but the playlists of podcasts that I have created consist entirely of podcasts downloaded from the podcasts section on the iTunes Music Store. They used to show up and sync properly before I upgraded to OS 5.1.1, but now they don't.
Does anyone have a fix and am I right in surmising that the cause is a glitch in OS 5.1.1? -
I am trying to use the locate my macbook that was stolen. How do I know if it is set up on the service. It shows on the list but just says it is offline and doesn't say when or where it last was. I am trying to either locate it or erase it. HELP
Since you can see it in your device list it must have Find My Mac activated, but you're going to have to wait for them to take it online in order to either locate, lock or wipe it. Until it goes online you can't do anything. http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/find-my-device/
