IEEE1394 card for HP Envy 700-109c

What Firewire ( IEEE1394) card would be the best one for the PC HP Envy 700-109c desktop. Which slot to place it ?
This question was solved.
View Solution.

Most of these PCI Express x1 - 1394 Firewire Cards should work in your HP ENVY 700-109c Desktop Computer. Install it in any open slot and move it to other slots as needed.

    Hi,
Unfortunately no, your machine uses Intel HD graphics 4600:

System will work this out and will allocate available system memory up to 1792MB total graphics memory

  • USER GUIDE for HP ENVY 700-200z

Where can I find a real users guide for the HP ENVY 700-200z, the user guides on HP Support site are only generic setup guides with really no useful detailed  info on the HP ENVY 700-200z. I've downloaded all the guides and they do not contain the general info I was looking for.
I was ready to return HP ENVY 700-200z computer because I could not find the 4 USB inputs and 4 card slots, until I looked on NewEgg website and saw the front panel slides down. Plus the lights that show bluetooth, wiresless and other info is what I  found from other internet sites because HP does not have a real users guide I can find.

Since no one has knowledge of a guide, maybe someone with a ENVY  700 series could help.
For starters, indicator light symbols on the top panel above the CD/DVD player/burner. I have seen the HD is working, wireless is on, bluetooth is on indicator light symbols any other indicator lights there?
This is like buying a new car without a owners manual.
I wouldn't have any trouble adding RAM memory, another HD or CPU or any of the hardware, or using W 8.1 or any of the programs, but just the simple things that that this paticular computer is equiped with is not shown on HP's website anywhere.

  • Firewire card for HP Envy 8?

I have an HP Envy 8 1437c and am trying to capture the video/audio from my miniDV tapes/camcorder onto my computer.  I know I probably need to buy a firewire PCI card, but am not sure what the best course of action is.  Is there a card anyone recommends?  Or an easier process by which I can do this?  Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
There are many of them around such as the following one:
       http://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F5U504/
The task is very simple, there is a CD which contains manual and driver. You can put in yourself for around 10 mins.

  • Graphic Card for HP Envy 15 x360

I bought HP Envy 15 x360 on recommendation of salesman for gaming in may 2015. Aside from Atila Total War it was running most of Games like Civilization V and Civilization IV in Windows 8. Yesterday I upgraded to Windows 10 and now all of my games are gtting stuck. Especially for Civ V and Civ IV. The graphics are not smooth and its running a lot of time to get to the next turn. Plus in the middle of games, key board button and mouse stop responding. So I a not sure, is it a graphics problem or the Hard Ware Problem. Plus I am not getting any graphic properties in windows 10 and i did not see any graphic drivers for Envy 15 x360. So now what should i do. 1) Wait for the HP:               To make display drivers for Envy 15 x360 in Windows 10 incase it is a software glitch. 2)Install Video Graphics card:        I will be pleased if someone shares me information regarding it. Can we install graphics card in Envy 15 x360. 3)Buy a new Lap Top:                I just bought this 3 months ago so i would not be happy with this option. 4) Change this with new HP Lap top Model.                                                Is it possible to change it with the new Lap Top from HP having better graphics Card. I will be happy to pay for the difference in the price plus additional for the 3 month use of the Lap Top.

Do you know what graphics chip you have? There are a few versions of the Pavilion 15 x360 and we need to know exactly what we are dealing with.  I can tell you for sure that Options 2 and 4 are not going to happen. There is no physical means or method to install a video card inside your laptop. The video is just one of the chips soldered right to the motherboard. There is no HP trade-in/upgrade program as you describe.

  • How to access the Wifi card for an ENVY 15t Slim Quad Laptop?

Hello folks of the HP forum!
First off, I just ordered this laptop (I'm not sure of the model number since I don't exactly have it yet):
    http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Laptops/HP-ENVY/K0B71AV?HP-ENVY-15t-Slim-Qua...
Now, I am very excited about this machine and satisfied with the specs with one exception: the wireless card seems pathetic.  1x1, no AC, and no Bluetooth.  I want to replace it with this:http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Network-7260-HMWG-Wireless-AC-Bluetooth/dp/B00DMCVKMU
Is the above Intel 7260.HMWG compatible with my new laptop, or will I have to pick a card from a "whitelist" in the BIOS?  Does my laptop have the two antennas to plug into the Intel card?
Also, while this may sound stupid, does anyone have instructions/guidance about how to physically change out the card in the Slim Envy? If I do decide to change the card, I want to make sure I know exactly what I am doing so as to avoid any damage.
    Thanks very much in advance!

    Hi,
No available information unless we know the model/product of the machine. HP used to have a list of wireless cards supported for EACH product but from my view, HP is abit relax now because wireless card is one item which can be replaces/repaired by users as shown on the Envy 15 Maintenance and Service guide

  • SD card for HP ENVY 5640

    Hi,
    Please try:
    Click Start,
    Click Computer,
Click Map Network Drive at the top
Here you can add the printer IP address  \\192.168.0.100\memory_card\ and you can also choose the drive letter. This should map your printer memory cards to that drive letter.
Note: 192.168.0.100 is your printer IP address.

  • Wifi card for HP Envy 6-1031 er

    Hello.
I would like to change network card of my HP Envy 6-1031er so as it would support 5 ghz Wifi.
Can I replace the card? its' not built-in?
Iа yes, what card would be compatible?
Intel 6235ANHMW or Broadcom BCM94322HM8L are ok?
    thank you!
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

It is a replaceable card but your options are seriously limited by the HP BIOS "whitelist" implementation. If you install any card not on the whitelist the system will halt at a screen saying "Unsupported wireless device". Here is the Service Manual:
    Manual
    See page 45.
This card is compatible and is a 2 x 2 meaning it can operate in the 2.4 ghz or 5 ghz band:
    Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1030 + Bluetooth combo w/ *2 antennas (802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0) 670290–005
Here is the card on eBay:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/670290-005-HP-WIFI-LAN-WIRELESS-INTEL-CENTRINO-WIRELESS-N-2230-/400646657044
It has to be a card with the HP part mumber on it. It is not good enough to get any old Intel Wireless-N 2230 card. Note there is conflicting information in the Service Manual as to whether it takes an Intel 1030 or 2230 so I go by the part number, not the description.

  • Memory and hard drive for hp envy 700 010 vt

I want to increase my memory from 8G to 16 GB.  I prefer to use non-hp memory in the interest of saving money.  Additionally, I would like to add a second 1 TB hard drive in some tiype of simple RAID configuration such as a simple disk mirroring system.
Does anyone know just what memory I should get?  Does the mother board have room for an additional 8GB RAM or must I purchase 16GB RAM and throw away (or  sell)  the original 8GB RAM.
Same question for a second 1TB hard drive.  Does Win 8.1 allow for this and does the envy  desktop mother board allow for this?
Sorry for these questions but hp documentation at this level is essentially non-existant and I haven't tried to break in to the case to try to answer these questions.  I realize hp often uses outside mother boards such as ASUS and I might be lucky and find information elsewhere.
    thanks

This is how I configured RAID 1 on mine:
How to configure RAID without backup-restore and without difficult procedures:
1 -  Install your new disk in the computer if you don't have 2 already -at least same size as the original one)
2  - Disable User Account Control: go to control panel - Action Center - change User Accounts Settings (left menu) and put the slider at the bottom  --> reboot required
3  - Download Intel Raid Storage Technology from :
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/23496/eng/Se...
(This won't install when UAC is enabled)
Reboot - you will have Intel Rapid Storage Technology in the task bar and in "All Applications"
4 - In All Applications, find "Command Prompt", right-click and choose to open it with Administrator privileges : type "msconfig"  - in "Boot"-tab, check "Safe Boot" adn click OK.
5 - Reboot computer - enter BIOS with "Escape" - change BIOS settings in Drive Options from AHCI to RAID - save settings and boot
6 - Open "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" : under status, you will have the possibility to create a custom volume and to preserve the data on the orginal disk - the process of syncing the disks will take some time.
7 - When 100%,  enter msconfig again, remove the "Safe Boot" check and you can reboot your pc
8 - You can  put UAC back in the original position.
    SUCCESS !!

  • Envy 700-074. Will this accept a firewire card?

Presonus sound board has Firewire.  Is there a way to get it into our new ENVY 700-074?

    Larry, welcome to the forum.
The motherboard has three PCI Express x1(Gen 2.0) slots.  You can install a Firewire card into one of them.  Here is a page on Newegg with some cards.  You will have to determine if the board requires 1394 A (400 Mbps) or B (800 Mbps) and if it works with Win 8.
I don't know anything about the Presonus sound board, so I can't say for certain that it will work with your computer, however.

The 300 watt is borderline but is within card specs. The 750Ti (3753) max's at 60 watts. You will need a 6pin power supply.
I changed the Gt 640 in my Envy 810-160 (600W) for a 750Ti with no problems but it did come with a Nvidia card. I put the GT 640 in an e9230f (350 watt) replacing the ATI HD4350.
In both cases all went well and the cards updates direct from Nvidia.
