If anyone can shed some light on this I would appreciate it.
For starters my laptop is getting almost 3 years old and the hard drive was filling up. I decided to reformat and move my itunes and subsequent music folders to an external hard drive. I left it on my external and then I left for a 2.5 month deployment with the US Navy. Upon coming back my external no longer had anything saved on it and i cannot locate my music folder from itunes anywhere on my computer. Is there anyway i can retrive the music that i have been legaly purchasing off itunes over the past 3 years. There are still purchase receipts on my itunes account. Anyone have ideas... or am I s.o.l.

So I downloaded acrobat XI Standard from the Adobe website, when I go to install it, it says "Adobe XI Pro" at the top left corner. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I have a volume license for XI Std. so I would like to use the Std. version.

Plugged in Apple TV, Apple symbol appears the a view of the rear of the box with a USB lead going to an iTunes symbol? Can anyone shed some light on this oh and it doesn't go past this point

when registering my iphone on itunes the message - the sim card insertedin this iphone does not appear to be supported - can anyone shed some light on this and tell me a way around this problem? the phone itself is an english phone and tried to register with a spanish sim and that message appeard, so i tried with my iphone sim which is english and the same message appeared!
thanksIs the English sim from the original carrier as that is usually the message you get with a carrier locked phone.

I am trying to register my Appliances and when I try to click on "Save" or "Submit" I am unable on my MacBook pro. I have tried different browsers yet still same problem. Can anyone shed some light on this please.

The last guy managed to get the phone into 'DFU Mode' - no more recovery mode screen - (kind of 'asleep' perhaps) from my understanding of same. I am awaiting a call again from IT so they can get my computer to actually recognise my iPhone on the C Drive. This also happened to one of my colleagues in Newman (WA). She got so frustrated with the whole process that she bought another phone the next time she was in 'civilisation.' She hasn't had any problems since. (Cross fingers).

Hello (hopefully someone can shed some light on my issue)
I own as above a MAC PRO (Early 2008) this has a RAID card installed along with two 15k.7 cheetah hdd (320gb) and a spare drive, (which i made a regular drive)
a while ago i had to replace the RAID card battery, so i did this, over a year later the same thing happened again, but as previous just left it and the system seemed fine for ages, until last night i was working in PHOTOSHOP and everything just froze and the screen kind of appeared GREEN, could not do a single thing. So restarted the mac, this time grey screen for ages and a message appeared, (macs version of blue screen) (see attached).
I restarted the machine and this time a flashing question mark folder!
could not do a thing.
so i found my copy of snow leopard and got the computer to run this and at least launch the DISK UTILITY and (Interestingly in the drop down menu RAID UTILITY was also in the menu) but it did not matter which utility i used the (RAID or DISK) neither could see any of drives, just the dvd drive.
so looked around on you tube and various forums and discovered if i take out the RAID CARD and re-plug the main lead from the RAID card back in to the LOGIC BOARD I would be reverting the MAC to a normal regular non-RAID computer.
After performing this HARDWARE task and inserting all three HDD, and running the DISK utility from the drop down menu via the SNOW LEOPARD disc.
(interestingly since the RAID card had been removed the RAID UTILITY from the drop down menu no longer appeared). running disk utility I can now only see the regular (spare) hdd and DVD Drive, but the two RAID HDD , again, still do not show up DISK UTILITY?
O.K. so i could chuck out the RAID card (AND RAID HDD) and just go with a regular set-up, and run a back restore from Time Machine on a NEW hdd purchased.
but what is wrong with the RAID, is the card at fault or are both HDD used for the RAID knackered? can i perform any tests, to see whats what?
thanks for your help in advanced.hello people, the issue was in fact the GRAPHICS card nothing to do with the HDD or RAID system ( although this did cause issues with the RAID system it basically lost its way) below is my replay to another similar problem some one else had!
working in photoshop and then everything stopped working and the lot froze! only option was to force shutdown (via button).
and try to restart, hoping all was fine, this was not the case :-(
I had the added issue of the RAID card system, that i have, this was confused to say the lease and would not behave or work, causing the start up to hang.
so i thought the HDD must be bust and the root cause. ( but soon learnt it was not the cause )
...bought a new HDD removed the RAID card and replugged the cable from RAID card into LOGIC board, ( making the computer act like any normal non-RAID system). I managed to install the OSX, using the snow leopard disk way. once the mac was running, i started to notice the screen would flicker and started to see 'artefacts'. so i started to reveal my symptoms to the web and forums and soon discovered that my graphics card could be the issue all along?.
(nvidia geforce 8800gt 2x dvi).
I read up on that a fix, could be either A. reply the thermal paste, as the card could be over heating or B. stick the card in the oven trick.
Tried option A. first and nothing still issues, so last night took the plunge carried out option B. and ta da it worked! i even managed to run
from my new HDD my lasted install OS X, absolutely fine. I then thought, maybe i could repair my RAID so replugged all the HARDWARD back in and
carried out a disk repair and disk permissions on drives( took a small amount of time), via the SNOW LEOPARD disc - (Disk utilities) and this worked and now have my system working as it was just over 6 days ago.
what was the cost to get this? bought a new hdd so 40.00gbp and thermal paste and cleaner kit ( your still need to do this ) search video card trick on you tube.
and renew thermal paste, approx 15.00gbp, technically i don't need the new HDD, but it was all part of the trial and error way i went. ( i do have extra storage as a result!)" -
when i try to download the software onto my mac, i receive a message saying that safari cannot open the specified address as OS X does not recognise the internet address starting with "aam". Please please can someone shed some light on this, its driving me MAD!!!

Who can shed some light on my ongoing connection problem.
After upgrading my iPad Air with IOS 7.06, I could no longer connect to the internet.
I have 2 MacBooks Air, 1 ipad mini and one iPhone 4S running on the same network, and they are all connected to the net and function well.
So I cleaned up the ipad completely, installed the latest firmware and reinstalled my apps : no connection.
I tried all things of resets and forgets. No result.
I have been fondling with my Airport Extreme 5 , but that did not help much.
This morning I went to a neighbor , hooked my ipad air on his network, typed the password and the thing all worked fine.
I have tried to connect the ipad air as an ethernet client, but that did not work. „Not enough power“ was the statement
Ideas anyone ?Yes I tried this manyfold. But did not work. Reading on, I took Tesserac's advice. Shut down router and computer.
Start router after 15 minutes and wait another 10 minutes before starting the computer.
Et voila.... everything is back in working order,

We are having problems running two iPhones. When a setting is changed on one one it changed the other.
Hey I know I'm new, but I'm running 3 iPhones and an iPad all using my one apple id, I've never had any problems with the setting's syncing between them. Why would they need a whole new apple id? Can they not just change the cloud settings on the individual phones so that they don't sync? That's what I did, I sync my phone with my PC and my wife's phone & iPad sync to the cloud for most things. before I made these changes she was getting my calender notifications but everything else was working perfectly and still does.
I personally don't think you need a new apple id, maybe the phones need to be named differently, and cloud settings need to be adjusted to your personal needs.
I like having everything under the same id, since I can purchase apps for all my devices and we share the photo stream between all devices so I get to check out pictures she takes with the kids while i'm at work and vice versa. Also love being able to use findmyiPhone to track her location (and vice versa).
Sorry if I'm stepping on your toes Eric, but I just think that there is a better solution for the OP than creating a whole new apple id. -

I'm on an orange france contract and recently had a faulty iphone 3g black 16gb replaced by apple.
When I put my original sim into the new iphone and connect up to itunes 8 I get the following message:
'The sim card inserted into this iphone does not appear to be supported'
The iphone is runnning 2.1 firmware.
The sim card worked perfectly in my old iphone 3g and works when put into other mobiles.
I've had a replacement SIM card without any luck and have even tried with another brand new
unactivated iphone. When i put the sim card in an already activated iphone it works fine. I've tried
restoring the firmware and tried activating it on other pc's and macs.
Does anybody have any ideas? Both orange and apple are completely stumped.MonkeyPuzzle I have exactly the same issue but with an O2 (Apple's Carrier in UK) sim and replacement iphone 3G phone. Neither O2 or Apple can understand what is the cause. I have had three sim cards, changed tarif and now have a second iphone 3G from Apple which I've purchased from them as a loan to establish if the previous replacement has a hardware issue. Unfortunately I am experiencing the same issue with the second phone. I will keep pressing Apple and O2 for a solution although am beginning to feel this is a wider issue. Please would you post any updates you get from Orange FR and Apple
