    Could you please advise why this error happening, how to resolve this and the impact of this error?

    Try doing a complete install, and make sure you're running the install on all the necessary machines.   There is content to be installed on your CMS as well as your application server at least.    Is this all on a single box?   Are you sure the name of the jar you're specifying is correct?  There is a partnercafinstall.jar and a cafinstall.jar that the installer will install.

  • BOE XI R2 SP3 - Does it work on Windows 2003 Server SP2?

    We are using BOE XI R2 SP3 (v. 11.5.9.1076) on Windows 2003 Server (32bit) Service Pack 1. Our company needs to upgrade all Windows 2003 Servers to Service Pack 2.
    According to the documentation on the web, BOE XI R2 SP3 is supported on Win 2003 Svr SP1

    However, I can't find any information on the BOE XI R2 SP3 version running on Win 2003 Svr SP2.
    Could someone please let me know if there is such information (link to web site, etc), or if from own experience, this version of BOE XI works with W2003 SP2?
    If this doesn't work, what should we do next? Should we upgrade BOE XI R2 to Service Pack 4, and then upgrade Win 2003 Server to SP2, or upgrade Win 2003 Server to SP2 and then upgrade BOE XI R2 to SP4?
    Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

  • Users receving instances from others when bursted in XI3.1 SP3 3.1

    Hi,
    I have a BOE environment with XI3.1 SP3 FP3.1. If i schedule a webi report and select the option schedule for "user group" and set the destination as inbox for the same group every user is receiving instances for all the other users in the group. Eg: If there are 5 users in a group, instead of each user receiving one instance they are receiving 5 instances. I select this particular option since I have row level security on universe and want each user to receive their own report. Has anyone seen this issues?

    scheduling the report using schedule for is not report bursting. schedule for executes the report with the id you have assigned rather than yours.
    to get the individual report, you need to go with the publication. for that you need to create profiles. please go through the admin guide for more details.

  • Error (STU00104) while installing BOE XI 3.1 SP4

    Hi All,
    I am installing BOE XI 3.1 SP4 on a host which is already running the BI7 system
    DB: Oracle 10.2.0.4
    What i am trying to do is that i want to use the same existing DB of BI, so for that i have created a Tblspace for BO: PSAPBO1
    and then created schemas for Repository DB and Audit DB in the existing DB.
    Now, i started the installation by using same BI application admin user and it went till phase "Enter the information for new CMS" where it ask Oracle TNSNAME , username to connect to DB
    I gave TNSNAME with absolute path and tried both users tbiadm and oratbi but it failed every time with an error.....
    " Failure to validate the database credential has a potential to crash the database at a later stage. Enter the correct information. (STU00104) "
    BOE is 32 bit but Db is 64 bit....
    kindly suggest what needs to be done and what is that i am doing wrong.......

    Hi,
    check SAP Note - 1298935
    Two other things...SAP does not recommend installing BOE on the same Host as your BI System. A seperate Host is recommended for BOE.
    Its. nor a problem having the DB running on a 64Bit Arch. while the BOE Arch. is 32Bit.

    can any one help me with a proper tehcnical procedural guide documentation for BOE 3.1 SP3 to BOE4.0 in Unix envieornment.
    None of docs present in the SAP masker palce give a proper tehcnical setaps or approach rather it give me some generic docuemensts whihc are simply wordy with no technical details.
    Am kind of stuck with BPE upgrae from 3.1 SP3 to BOE 4.0 for UNIX (I donot wnat any WINDOWS documentation)

    yes - finding documentation on UNIX is somethimes painfull. Cause BI4 is currently in Ramp- Up, it is possible that not all Documentation is finished.

    Hi, i just wonder now BO has launch BOE XI3.0 and it has new features.
    If i purchase BO Edge Series (formerly BOCD) now, is it come with XIR3.0 engine? such as in BOE XI3.0, it has "changes track" feature in WebI, is it feature come with in the new purchase of Edge series?
    And can BO Edge series integrate with Crystal Report 2008 and XCelsius 2008?

    A simplified approach is the following:
    XI 3.1 = XI 3.0 + Service Pack 1
    Also, Once I install the BOBJ XI 3.1 Enterprise Server , I still need to install the following Client Tools separately :
    XCelcius 2008,
    Crystal Reports, Voyager,
    Live Office 2008
    If you are using the XI 3.1 server (either Edge or Enterprise) you have to download and install XCelcius 2008 V1, Crystal Reports 2008 V1 and Live Office XI 3.1
    If you are using XI 3.0 (either Edge or Enterprise) you have to download and install XCelcius 2008 V0, Crystal Reports 2008 V0 and Live Office XI 3.0
    Voyager is web-based and comes with the BO server installation. No need to download anything for this one.

    Hi Simon,
    The SP3 is still unavaiable, but you can download the latest fixpack 2.7 in the service market place.
    All the fixpack and servicepack under the same product version should under the same place in SMP.

    结合你之前提出的新窗口打开的问题，以及这个登录问题，如下：
    1. 在Xcelsius中给URL Button设置u201C本窗口打开u201D
    2. 在opendoc url中去掉isApplication=true，保留sWindow=true
    3. 将swf导出至BOE，并保证opendoc的url中的机器名和BOE的机器名相同
    4. 用opendoc或者infoview打开这个swf, 则可实现单个新窗口打开opendoc并且不需要另外登录
    该方法存在的限制：点击URL Button后，swf会重新load

  • Mac mini on a LCD TV which does not support interlace mode

    I am going to buy a new Mac mini and I wish to connect it to a Samsung LCD TV 37A656A1F (serie 6.
    The TV manual says that it does not support the interlace mode. I then deduce that it supports progressive mode only.
    My question: Does it mean that this LCD TV model cannot be used as a monitor for a Mac mini?

    All computer monitors are progressive mode displays. Therefore all computers, including the mini, are very comfortable running progressive mode. It is their natural state. It is more a problem when a computer has to run interlace mode in order to support a display. That is when there is trouble. So I think you have nothing to worry about if your Samsung runs in progressive mode.

    I need to use the new Retina MBP as a professional laptop for work, and I need to use Etherreal. Etherreal needs the Ethernet card/dongle/chip to run in Promiscuous mode. I have heard that unblivably the thunderbolt Ethernet dongle does not support this, if so then the laptop will not pick all the packets on the wire... is this true ?

    Thanks for your reply, However the promiscuous mode function that I am after is a function of the Ethernet NIC hardware and driver not just the OS.
    Wireshark allows the user to put network interface controllers that support promiscuous mode into that mode, in order to see all traffic visible on that interface, not just traffic addressed to one of the interface's configured addresses and broadcast/multicast traffic.
    Anyone out there actually used/tested the thunderbolt Ethernet adapter to sniff traffic with wireshark (Ethereal), can you please  if it can run in promiscuous mode ?

  • Does the Intel 82579LM NIC on the Portege R830 support Promiscuous mode?

    I've got a work laptop (Portege R830), which doesn't want to sniff packets. I've got it connected to a Netgear Hub (DS104), along with an older notebook, and then uplink to ADSL.
    Running a continuous ping to the default gateway and Wireshark on both devices and the other computer can see the pings from the Toshiba, but not vice-versa.
    The Toshiba is running as an Administrator account, has the Windows Firewall disabled, and my Symantec End Point Encryption disabled. I don't have any other AV to my knowledge.
    Does anyone have any ideas of services I should disable/enable, or knowledge of the features of this NIC?
    According to the Intel site "Yes, all currently marketed Intel PRO/100, Intel PRO/1000, Intel Gigabit, Intel PRO/10 Gigabit, and Intel 10 Gigabit adapters support Promiscuous mode. " But the Intel 82579 Gigabit Ethernet Controller is not in the list that follows on; http://www.intel.com/support/network/sb/CS-004185.htm?wapkw=%28promiscuous%29

    Usually the firewall or Internet Security software blocks pings so perhaps try uninstalling Symantec completely. Just disabling it may not disable everything.
    Another thing to try is use a Static IP Address instead of DHCP. Disabling IPv6 or installing a newer LAN driver from the Intel website may also help.

    What exactly are you trying to do? PVRs are for recording from TV not computers.
    Either way, if it's complaining about DOS mode, it's Windows oriented software and not Mac compatible.
