IF firmware updating... USB disconnected -.-"

Hi, i wonder if firmware updating in the half way, USB is disconnected...
what i heard, it will cause damage to the phone.
It's the phone will unable to boot up or unable to switch on anymore?
if so, is that a way to fixing it by ourselves or just have to buy a new phone??
Because i will update my firmware when the latest version is release.

sorry to ask 1 more
If it success getting the "Formatting"
mean the phone is rescue from the DEAD OF USB Disconnect?
i assume the next step... (after format done)
run the Nokia Software Updater, to re-updating the Firmware.
Am i correct? O.o

  • ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock - Firmware update doesn't work

    Hello,
My company has bought over 200 ThinkPad USB 3.0 Docks to use with HP Folios to connect dual and single monitors.  Some users have experience multiple issues with this product and I am trying to determine how to resolve these issues.  I first want to update the firmware that is located here:  http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/guides-and-manuals/detail.page?DocID=UM014961
ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock - Firmware Update - Lenovo Docking FW Update Tool V1.0
I have the USB 3.0 dock connected to the 3.0 USB port on the Folio.  The unit I am testing seems to be working fine as I have dual monitors up, external keyboard and mouse are working.
I ran the .exe, a command window comes up, and it attempted to look for the device.  The text is as shown:
    1. Initialzation<>   Success
    Start Search HUB
    !!!No device found!
Press any key to continue . . .
This has been tried on several devices and it simply does not work.  Does anybody have any suggestions?  I have contacted support which was a complete waste of time because they have no idea what I am talking about.

I'm going to return my dock if possible.  My main problem is that I cannot view Vmware virtual machine which is required for work.  2nd I can't view photos on my dual screens, it just hangs saying "Loading...", but I can view them on my W520 LCD Display.  3rd, I can't view a downloaded video, as in an .mp4.  I disabled the hardware acceleration in Firefox, so I can see streaming video.
I have a Thinkpad W520 and an X1 Carbon and both exhibit the same problems with the dock.
I tried upgrading the DisplayLink Drivers to the 7.x version and that created a slew of problems.  The Dock firmware driver link in the OP doesn't work either.  As mentioned it couldn't find the device.  Uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling the stock one cause lots of problems with my W520.  The dock would try to connect but it kept connecting and disconnecting and the cycle would continue infinitly.   It wasn't until I did a system restore that I could get it working again to where I can use the dock again.
I am extremely dissapointed with this dock.

  • Thunderbolt Display USB ports not working after 1.2 firmware update

I installed the Thunderbolt Display Firmware Update 1.2 a few days back, and following that update, the USB ports on my display have stopped working completely. The display's Thunderbolt port and Ethernet jacks are working fine, as is the Thunderbolt/power cable connection to my MacBook Air (mid-2011, 11 inch, running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1). Any ideas on a fix?

  • Camera firmware update via USB thru ImageBrowser EX?

    Hello everyone!
I recently made my first ever Canon camera in the history of the universe (Powershot SX280 HS) and it's amazing.
I have a question, though, about firmware updates.
When I launch ImageBrowser EX, and click on the button to "update to latest version" with my camera connected to my computer via USB, does this update the firmware too? Or does this only update ImageBrowser EX?
I understand that updating the firmware requires me to download a file from my product's support page and manually installing it using a memory card. But I was wondering if updating through USB is also possible.
    Thoughts?
    Thanks for reading this message.

I am pretty sure you have to do it the way Canon tells you to in its documentation on the support page for the 280, i.e. copying the firmware file to a card in a card reader.  There is no mention of ImageBrowser in the documentation.  Updating via ImageBrowser is probably just for the browser software on your computer.  Most things can be done via USB but updating firmware is usually a pretty rare thing except for this particular model camera which has seen two updates so far and I wish would see another (since I too am verging on returning it to the store before my 30 days are up, the day after I get home from vacation). The issues improved with the updates but are still there (see very long thread about battery issues in this forum).

  • D-Link DBT-120 USB adapter needs new firmware update from Apple

I purchased a new DBT-120 USB/Bluetooth adapter for use with my iBook (Clamshell). unfortunately, it's not allowing connections to headsets as I intended.
I have a DBT-120 B1 at home which works fine with my headset but that adapter worked only after updating the firmware with Apple's updater.
unfortunately, the firmware updater will not recognise my new DBT-120 which is a C1.
Apple, please update the firmware updater for the new C1... soon!
has anyone else written a firmware updater for the DBT-120 adapters so that headsets can be used with OS X?
    regards,
    Gregory

    I have the same problem w/ my DBT-120 v. C1
I tried installing bluetooth firmware 1.2 and Bluetooth Firmware Updater gives me the error:
"This Bluetooth device is not supported
This computer does not have an Apple Bluetooth module installed. It cannot be updated by this application."
I also tried installing version 1.2.1 but during installation that gave me the error: "This update is not needed on this computer."
I have an iMac Intel Core 1 Duo 17" that will hopefully support the headset when it finishes charging, but I would like to be able to use it on the go too.

  • Firmware update: "The device is not connected to the USB por

Hi, I have a MuVo TX SE GB and I tried to load the new .22.03e firmware on it with a Windows XP SP2 PC. But when I connected the device, and started the firmware updater, it searched for a minute or so, and then the reset question appeared. I clicked OK and then I heard the USB sounds and the new hardware wizard appeared. I followed the wizard, but when it was installing the drivers, a message: "The device is not connected to the USB port" appeared, and the firmware updater closed. The hardware installed fine. But when I try to load the firmware again, the reset question doesn't appear, but I hear the USB sounds, and i get the same message again. I also tried connecting the player in recovery mode but that doesn't help. The player won't turn on. When I connect it, the player is listed in My computer, but I can't open it. What should I do, and how can I load new firmware properly?

I am having the same type of problem trying to upgrade some firmware on my microphoto. I would love to get input from some of the guru's out there , Have you tried emailing customer support and asking them? I am waiting for their repy but just bouncing ideas off the forum in the meantime.

  • DAQ loading as "USB Firmware Updater" NI 6229

Need some help here, as my DAQ driver does not load. Use to work before.
See attached screen capture, loads as "USB Firmware Updater"
I've rebooted, updated to latest DAQ drivers, made sure the unit is powered, changed the USB cable and also switched the NI device locater service on and off.
Perhaps the unit is bust ?

    Hi,
It sounds like it's likely a software issue; take a look at this KB:
Why Does My USB DAQ Device Show Up as USB Flash Firmware Loader in Device Manager?
    http://ae.natinst.com/public.nsf/web/searchinternal/2E02F8EC5D0197928625758C005FFD8D
I suspect it's related to the NI Device Loader. Let us know if you have any luck with the instructions in the KB.

  • USB-9171 installs as USB Flash Firmware Updater

I have just received a USB-9171 with 9401 module.  Trying to install it on a WIndows 7 64 bit Dell Vostro laptop. Already installed is Labview 8.5.1 which has been working fine with a USB-6212 for some time.  I installed the NI-DAQmx 9.6 which came with the new 9171, and the Labview 2012 Run-Time as recommended by the update manager.  On plugging in the USB-6212 it loaded the driver, recognized it in MAX and operates correctly as before.  But on plugging in the USB-9171, the driver loaded by Windows identifies it as USB Flash Firmware Updater.  The 9171 does not show up in MAX.
How can I get the proper USB-9171 driver to load?
    Thanks - Steve
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

This is the original poster again.  Just wanted to add additional experience I had with this problem.
After getting the original 9171/9401 to be recognized as described above, I added three new 9171/9401 modules to the system several months later and encountered the original problem again.  This time the original 9171/9401 would always be recognized, but the three new ones would not.  I upgraded my LV from version 8.5.1 (uninstalling this version) to LV version 2012.  Upgraded the DAQ from 9.6 to 9.7.  There is a newer version of the MAX configuration utility that was not compatible with LV 8.5, so I needed to upgrade LV AND remove the 8.5 version to get the newer configuration utility to install.
I followed my previous procedure of wiping the configuration and then plugging in the USB modules one at a time.  As WillPwr found, I needed to have patience because it didn't happen right away.  Even with the configuration wiped, it would recognize the old module right away but not the new ones.  This suggests that there is some record of module serial numbers retained even after a configuration reset.  But eventually it did recognize them all.

  • Laserjet M1217nfw - Bricked after disconnected wireless firmware update

    Hi,
As I was upgrading my firmware for the Laserjet M1217nfw via my wireless network, my wireless router flaked out and i lost connectivity.        I was about 50% complete sending the latest firmware to the printer.     How do i go about unbricking this?    Can I do this via the RJ45 port or via the USB connection?
    Thanks,

The firmware update can be downloaded from here and is able to be performed across USB.
Let me know how this goes.

  • Firmware update broke my USB Ports!

I did the firmware update on my iPod 5G through iTunes today. As it was updating, a warning message popped up and said, "iTunes cannot find a folder. Cannot install update" (exact words).
I click OK, all of a sudden "USB Not Recognized" pops up on my screen in the task bar. My printer (connected to a different USB port) no longer is recognized, my camera, my iPod, NOTHING is recognized anymore on USB, not ANY of the 6 USB ports that are connected to my computer!
After 45 minutes on support I was told to uninstall and reinstall the iTunes/iPod updates (which won't help because my computer can't recognize the iPod!), and there was nothing else they could do.
To say the least, I am steamed! BEWARE!!! this firmware update, omg. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE OFFER SOME ADVICE OR HELP!?
    I have tried:
    -Uninstalling and reinstalling USB drivers
    -Rebooting (of course)
    -Resetting my iPod
    Running:
    Windows XP Pro
    3.0 GHz Athlon XP 64
    Thank you!
    Windows XP Pro

    Oh, you too...
Yes, it was a wonderful Christmas. Granny bought the kids Ipods, I had to install... and lo and behold, suddenly, no USB ports! Or so I figured out on my own... after being on hold/etc with apple for 2 1/2 hours that is (their great advice: "oh, maybe the ipods are broken. Bring them to an authorized dealer to get them checked out." Yeah, thanks. Imagine that scene.)
Anyway Kyle, I finally (and I'm not running Pro, and surely not the most but not the least, computer savvy mom around), after trying and failing to reinstall the drivers (the computer wouldn't even recognize that I had anything on the original installation cd) a million times, I caved and called the Geek Squad. I spent $99 and most of the day, had to wipe the hard drive and start over, but finally got the USB ports working again. (Gave up on my old printer tho, but was able to install a new one.) I don't know exactly how the Geek guy did it, he had to try a number of ways to reinstall the drivers. Under devices, or device manager?, where you should see them as installed, a large yellow question mark kept coming up. Whether I really needed to reformat the c drive or not to accomplish this, I don't know. Didn't care at that point.
    Good luck! Happy New Year.

  • Megastick 256 firmware update failure (USB 2.0 version)

When I update the firmware of my Megastick 256 (the new "silver" USB 2.0 version), it would not turn on  anymore and seems completely dead. I can "revive" it by removing the battery and connecting it while the "Play" button is pressed and "downgrade" to the firmware version from the included CD (version 2.000.008). I would like to update to 2.011.002, 2.100.000 or 3.000.013, but all of them turn the stick into a dead brick. My computer only has USB 1.1, but I don't think this is the problem.
Ths update utility tells me that my stick has "chip version" 3500.
Another problem is that the firmware update utility will report a timeout when I connect the stick with pressed "Play" button, and the firmware version present in the "msi-5112" directory is not 2.000.008. I can only update by connecting the stick normally.
Has anyone managed to update the firmware of the new revision of the Megastick? If so, how exactly did you go about it?
    Thanks in advance

    - Do you also have the USB 2.0 version of the stick?
      it is usb 1.1
    - Does your computer support USB 2.0?
      yes
    - How exactly did you do the update (when did you press "Play"?).
Held play down, plugged into computer, kept holding play
       until recover device was visible.
Copied and unzipped the new firmware to c:Program Files\MSI\MSI551X
      Ran the program START->Programs ->MSI->MS 551X Update
Check the update firmware was 3.xxx and click Start or Okay.
waited for it to finish.  unplugged mega stick and powered it on.
    - What was the original firmware of you stick?
       2.11.2
    - Did you use the update program from the CD or the one from the MSI page?
       from the cd
    - Did you have the battery in the stick for the update?
       yes.

  • Apply EFI firmware update whilst booting from USB drive

I am considering converting one of my Macs to a Windows only laptop (i.e. only have Windows 7 installed on the internal drive - achieved via Paragon CampTune software).
I will keep a bootable copy of OS X on an external USB drive.
My only concern is whether I will be able to update the EFI firmware if/when an update is released. If I boot from an external USB will I be able to apply such an update?
Also, does Apple software update alert you when firmware updates are available?
    Thanks

You can perform all of the same functions on your machine booting from an external drive.  So yes, you will be able to download and install any firmware updates using your external drive.  Software Update will inform you of any needed firmware updates.

I would recommend calling tech support directly. They should be able to supply you with the imager/firmware to flash the unit.
