If you are a college student and take a student ID you will get the education discount. If you are a student in public or private high school and have a student ID you may get the discount. I know of some parents/students who claim to have gotten the discount and some who have been denied it. Not sure if that's due to a policy change or just a difference in interpretation of who is eligible. I suggest you call your local store to find out.

Spell check not only underlines words that are not in its dictionary, but suggests words when the flagged words are right clicked. Right click on the indicated word, and choose, the spelling, add to dictionary,
or close the right-click context menu to allow without changing anything.
You probably have other dictionary lists on your computer of words that you've already verified and added, open that list or a copy of it in Firefox and add the ones that show up as invalid using your better judgement that you have now than in the past.

I have lost my Iphone last week. I know this has been a while, but I am desperate. I have talked to At&t and there is no way they could track my phone with it turned off. So I was wondering if there's any way that we can check the last location of the phone before it died? And also, if there's any way we can ping the phone in case it was stolen and was turned on? If you did not setup Find My Phone, I'm afraid yo're out of luck. There is no practical way to track your phone.

Is there any way that I can still back up my purchases?
I apologize if this has been asked before. I went to update my Ipod touch. There was an error (the number was a 1600 number) and then iTunes stated that I need to restore my iPod now. It will not allow me however to back up my purchases from my iPod back onto my iTunes. Example, it does not prompt me before restore nor does it allow me to right click on the device and back up. Is there anyway I can still back up the purchases or get out of restoring my iPod?? I don't know what happened! Too bad I didn't back up before the update ha ha. Thank you for your help!

As I have said in the title, I was supposed to do a restore on my iPad for work. I backed up the device and then I restored it to factory settings as I was instructed. Now that all of that is complete, I tried to restore it from the back up point I created and it will not recognize my Apple ID password. I really hope that I won't lose all of my data, but I don't know what else to do. I have tried entering my password numerous times. Did you encrypt the iPad backup? If so, then trying to restore will require entering the encryption password. -

As a professional public speaker I can't walk around with a 50m VGA cable holding onto this giant device, on stage, to control my slides.... I know there are bluetooth presenters that can be connected to my mac without any usbs but I want to use the ipad because it is portable and it saves me luggage space when traveling all over the world... Our Windows PC crashed with all our music on it. There are copies of both purchased (thru iTunes store) and from our own CDs on an external HD in a backup file. They are not linked to a Media file. Is there any way I can put this music on my new computer?

Your iPod can only be synced with one computer at a time. If you try to sync it with a new computer/iTunes library, it will replace the contents of the iPod with whatever is in the new library. You should probably disable the autosync functionality first by going to Edit -> Preferences, clicking the Devices tab, and enabling the prevent iPods,iPhones, and iPads from automatically syncing option.
Before doing anything else, authorize the new computer with your iTunes Account. In iTunes, choose Store -> Authorize This Computer and enter in the correct credentials. Either copy a backup file from your old computer to your new one or create a new backup of your iPod in iTunes before letting it sync.
Then right->click on your iPod Touch from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes and choose Backup. You might also want to take a look at this article to see what it all included in the backup.
iOS: How to back up
Now onto synced content such as music, videos, photos, etc. For iTunes purchases you can copy them back into iTunes by choosing File -> Transfer Purchases. For all other nonpurchased iTunes content, see this excellent user tip from another forum member turingtest2 outlining the different methods and software available to help you copy content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.
