If i backed up my old phone why aren't my contacts syncing

i had a problem with my old phone so i went to the apple store and they told me to back up my information on my computer which i did so i went to the apple store today to exchange my phone for a new one since i got my last one in february, now i connected my new iphone to my computer (iphone 4) and it says that i have no sim card, the last iphone i had didnt have one either but i was able to use it - this one won't let me go past the first few things that pop up when you get a new phone.. if i dont have a sim card how do i come about this problem?

You have to have a SIM card from an activated iPhone or one that was previously used to activate the original iPhone in order to activate your phone for use, even if you don't have service. If you don't have one borrow one from a friend.

Why aren't Yahoo contacts syncing to iCloud?

I have 2 contacts groups on my iPad. I have an iPad group and a Yahoo group. I can see all of my contacts on my iPad, but on iCloud.com I can only see my iPad contacts. You can have one icloud account and a different itunes account on the phone. I have my icloud account and a shared itunes account. He does not have to use the new icloud account as is ID in itunes and app store. He can keep using the old one.

Do you have a current backup of your phone, if you do then restore to that backup.
If you don't then sorry your pics are gone.

After doing so, connect it to iTunes, right-click on the name of your phone on the left side and select Restore from Backup, when prompted, selecte the backup of your old phone to restore from.

I have a new iPhone 5 with company software from where I work. I backed my old phone before I got this one on iCloud but I cannot figure out to get my stuff onto this phone without erasing the content that was just put on it.

The only way to do so is to start over: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You won't be able to use the backup of your old phone unless you are setting up a new phone.

If the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, try temporarily recreating the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. Now try using your current password even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. If successful, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.

I am so discusted with this whole thing. I feel like I have been taken advantage of and paid way more than I should have. Well if you got the Phone Pggray43 at a Local Corporate store in your Area) you should be able to return it as long as you have all the contents.! Phone, Charger and any other accessories that came with it the Box of Course.. As long as you have not went past the 14 Day return.. the store can go over what you used as in Air Time and Data..
Now if you've went past the 14 Day return you be Liable to pay a E.T.F = Early Termination Fee the fee for this is around $300 so hopefully you have not went past the 14 Day return window the Manager if Available is the one I would talk to tell them your on Social Security and you just can't afford a phone as this I'm sure they'll work with you to get something solved..
