If i bought iphone 5s from apple retail store on t mobile with free contract it will work in egypt

If i bought iphone 5s from apple retail store on t mobile with free contract it will work in egypt????

There are conflicted information  in this forum. The contract free T-mobile 5s is not "unlocked" in US, it  is supposed to be unlocked for overseas GSM. However, it is not clear  whether you need to activate it on T-mobile first and wait for 40 days  for unlock code to unlock it before you can use it overseas.
I contacted both Apple and T-mobile multiple times. None of them answered question with a clear answer.
The  best way to confirm this is to purchase the 5s from the Apple Store.  Remove the T-mobile SIM before you turn 5s on and replace the SIM with  your international SIM. Turn it on and go through the initial setup to  see if the iPhone is lock or not.
If  it is locked, simply return to the Apple store with full refund in 30  days. Since Apple is not answering the question, why not try it yourself  on their dime?

  • I bought this iPhone from Apple Retail Store for the full amount, but  it does not work with my SIM card only works with AT&T

    Hello,
I have an iPhone 4S 32Gb White AT&T, product part No. MC921LL/A, Serial No. C39GMLPWDTDC
I bought this iPhone from Apple Retail Store (from Fifth Avenue, NY) for the full amount. Now it does not work with my SIM card only works with AT&T. I restored the phone several times, but I have not received "Congratulations your iPhone has been unlocked". Please activate my iPhone to work with different SIM cards
    Thanks,
    Best Wishes

    When did you buy it?
Apple did not begin selling an unlocked version of the iPhone 4S in the US until 11/11/11. I believe it went on sale only through the online store at that time. I'm not sure if it's available at retail yet.
What you purchased was a phone without a contract commitment. It is still locked to AT&T. AT&T will NOT unlock iPhones for any reason.  Return it and get your money back, then use that to purchase an unlocked phone.

how can i get a duplicate invoice from my MacBook which I bought in an independent Apple retail store in poland

Call the store & ask the sales staff to send you one if you are no longer in Poland.  If you are still there, what is stopping you from visiting the store?

  • Whats the difference in buying an ipod from apple retail store rather than buying it from Walmart?

Whats the difference in buying an iPod touch from apple retail store rather than from walmart

Some retailers, such as Best Buy, offer a much more robust warranty - even covering accidental damage. Or other retailers may offer bonuses - such as free case or store gift card as an incentive. The orginal Apple 1 year warranty against manufacturer's defects applies no matter where it's sold.
I bought both my touch and my iPad from Best Buy and have no issues with it. (the closest apple store was over an hour away)
I think the only warning I'd offer is for a person buying a used device second hand is to make sure it's from a reputable retailer and that hte device is unlocked and ready to use.

  • Can you purchase and iPhone at an apple retail store

cAn you purchase an iPhone at an apple retail store?

Yes, they will hand you the box after you pay for it and offer to set it up for you. If you are buying it in another country make sure that they sell you an UNLOCKED iPhone and keep in mind the warranty is not international, if you need service you will have to return to the country where you bought it.

i brought my iphone4 from apple retail store in UK. why was it locked by O2?

Warranty on iPhone is not international, but valid only in country of
original sale. Since you purchased the iPhone in Australia, your warranty
is valid only in Australia. You must either personally return the iPhone
to Australia for evaluation and possible replacement or sent it to someone
in Australia to take into Apple for the evaluation. Apple will not accept
international shipments for repair nor will Apple ship out of the country
    after replacement.
Sorry to be the bearer of this news, but it is the way iPhone warranty and
    replacement has always worked.

  • How can i get a macbook with the configration i want from apple retail store so that i can benefit from tax free service at the airport ?

hi all, i just want to know how can i get a MacBook pro with the configuration i want from apple retail store (in Munich) and not by order it online because in this case i will not be able to benefit from Global blue service for tax free from the airport when i leave Germany.
    thanks in advance.

You should have probably found out more specifically from the Apple Store just how you could do it online. The obvious solution is to order it from the Apple Danish website store, but I don't know if they ship internationally.

  • I could not get my iPhone 5 which purchased in Australia repaired by apple in the US. Guys from apple retail store verified a replacement for me and asked to call apple care. However, apple care said they cannot get it fixed nor repaired.

My iPhone 5 got some defects and I went to a apple reatil store yesterday. The guy from the genius bar told me that he verified a replacement for me. And I need to call 1-800-apple care to finish that process. I called apple care and one of the senior supervisors told me that I have to send it back to Australia (where I bought this iPhone) to get it repaired. Turns out I could not solve the problem after a apple store vist and several calls. I just want to know if there any way to solve this. This iPhone is a factory unlocked one that purchased in an apple retail store in Melbourne at the day it was first released. And my experience today is not what I can tell as fair. I will be really appreciate for any helps and advices. Thanks.

  • If I buy a 4s online, is it going to be considered the same as bought directly from apple retail stores?

I was trying to buy an unlocked 4s from an apple retail store directly, but it is too hard, the supply is way too short than the need.
Therefore, I am thinking to order one from the apple online store.
    My question is,
if I get the unlocked 4s online, is it going to be treated the same as bought from the apple retail stores?
I mean such as warranty or any services I can ask for when buying from the stores.
I do not want to hear something like " your phone was not purchased from one of our retail stores, so we are unable to do anything for it. "
Any one knows? I appreciate it.

No difference at all.  I recently had my iPhone 4S (purchased from the Apple Online Store) replaced at my local Apple retai.store with no problems.  However, if you plan to use the phone in another country,
    "IMPORTANT RESTRICTION
Apple may restrict warranty service to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the Apple Product. "

  • What are benefits of buying iPhone in an Apple retail store in UK?

Hi, I'm thinking of getting a iPhone 3GS. I'm currently on O2, and can now upgrade. I know I can go in my local store and do the upgrade, but I'm visiting London over the Xmas period and so will be able to go into a Retail store.
So can I do the O2 upgrade in an Apple retail store? what will I need? what are the benefits of that? or is it the same as going to an O2 store? I dont have an iPhone currently btw.
I dont have an Apple Retail store anywhere near me, so when I go its always an event! I know you can now reserve an hour slot to reserve the iPhone so what happens?
    cheers

Don't be, the other poster said they "figured" it would be better at a corporate AT&T Store, not that it is/was. If there are no problems with your account, nothing special on the account (such as a business discount paid by your employer, etc), then Apple can handle the upgrade as well as O2, or in the States, AT&T. But as neuro said you'll find a much broader selection of accessories, such as cases, cables, chargers, headphones, etc., at the Apple Store. And you can play with the Macs while you are there.

  • Third party earphones from Apple Retail Store - Warranty?

    Hi guys,
I purchased some RHA 450i earphones on the 30th of December last year and have been very pleased with the sound and comfort.  Unfortunately the first pair were DOA - Apple retail exchanged them as soon as I could get back there.  The next pair have been working well, but the fabric sheath on the cable has fallen apart, as has the strain-relief at the jack.  I thought I'd check out warranty before I went to work with some thick heat-shrink.  Apple Retail said 'Yep, should be covered, but you do it through RHA's Australian Distributor' and showed me the warranty form on the distributors website.  Interdyn (the distrib.) got back to me pretty quickly, but say that they don't deal with products sold through Apple - I must go to Apple.
    What do you think?
    1.  Apple
    2.  RHA/Interdyn
    3.  Chunky heatshrink
    Thanks

  • Why doesn't Apple Retail Store sell MacBook pros with SSD?

I have read that it is because they only sell MacBook Pros with the most reliable technology and because SSD still needs to be proven.
So many rumors Out there make the purchase decision really tough.
And, why doesn't apple offer a 7,200 rpm drive for the 13" mbp? According to the forum, the 13" can take it???

I have read that it is because they only sell MacBook Pros with the most reliable technology and because SSD still needs to be proven.
So many rumors Out there make the purchase decision really tough.
If you are interested in SSD reliability, that is not a very simple question to answer, given that there are many factors involved in the idea of "reliability" and if you start to do some research in the area, the idea of "reliability" will likely extend to questions about performance and cost. These questions can then get rather technical, and would likely extend to "performance under specific conditions of use" and "cost versus perceived and actual benefit".
Apple currently lacks TRIM support for SSDs, but various SSDs vendors have addressed this issue in one way or another. This is typically through a proprietary implementation of the SSD controller, and, in general, how it handles garbage collection to offset the lack of TRIM support.
Although rumors may lend to the difficulty in making a decision about whether to wait for a certain technology or not, "off the cuff" user experiences also flood the posts. ABC is super fast, XYZ is faster. It is great to hear about user experience, but sometimes it is useful to go beyond these. Benchmark tests can actually size some of this up into quantitative values, but then often times benchmarks, by their inherent nature, are addressing a very specific set of circumstances. So, what their results might show don't necessarily always carry over to a use case with different parameters.
The market for SSDs is relatively new and currently there is no market standard for many of the sub-technologies that go into making one. In this sense it is a little like the "Beta and VHS" battle of old, but less delineated since even within the distinction between TRIM vs No-TRIM support, their is no shortage of proprietary endeavor to produce an SSD that does not require TRIM. And then while all of that is going on, the SSD market - aside from the TRIM / No-TRIM issue is still evolving at quite a rapid pace.
And just to wrap the whole thing up into the larger context, HDDs have obviously been around for some time now, but there is still no shortage of debate on which is the "best". Although, I will say that given their relative market maturity, HHD debates do tend to have less of the current "hoopla" and fanfare and that many SSD vendors may actually be counting on to catch your attention.

  • Just bought iphone 5 through Apple online in UAE. does it come with A1428 or A1429?

I just bought iphone 5 from apple online in UAE. Doest it come come with A1428 or A1429?

    Good morning Araimi,
I think it will be A1429.
I wanted to know have you received your iphone yet?
Because i am really confused: i want to buy an iphone but it is currently out of stock in all Etisalat and Du outlets. And if i buy it from the online store where do I send it to get it fixed (if there is any problem)? I mean, it has a a 1 year warranty: where is this warranty valid? And apparantly if you buy the iphone from the UAE online store facetime is enabled? Is that true?
    Thank you
    Regards
    Karim
    Please do answer
    THanks again
