If I bought Pages, Keynote, and Numbers from the Mac App Store on my Mac, can I get those programs on my iPhone?

Ok, I bought iWork from the Mac App Store on my iMac. I just wondering if I could get those three programs on my iPhone 5 for free since I already bought them.

The iVersions are slightly different than the desktop version.
They are not as powerful as the desktop version. In my case, I do all my document creating on the desktop (create the attendance spreadsheet and form) and edit only on the iPad (take attendance for the day). The commands needed to create the attendance form, for example, on the iGadget do not exist in the iVersion.

  • HT2589 Why did the App store make me purchase Pages again?  I already bought Pages, Keynote and Numbers for my Ipad and I want to download them on my Mac Book Pro and they aren't in the purchases tab.

Why did the app store make me purchase Pages again?  I already bought Pages, Numbers and Keynote for my Ipad and want to download them onto my Mac Book and they aren't in the purchases tab.  I thought I would try clicking on the buy button for Pages, thinking, it would say I already purchased this app, but it didn't.  Where are all my purchases?  I used the same Apple ID I use for all my Apple devices.  Help!  I really don't want to buy them all again.

The version of Pages, Keynote and Numbers for the Mac will be different than the iOS version and will require a separate purchase.

  • I bought "Pages" "Keynote" and "Numbers" Apps for my iPad and iPhone

I bought "Pages" "Keynote" and "Numbers" Apps for my iPad and iPhone and now I have a new iMac but the Apps didn't install? I thought when you bought an App that is on one device it would be available on all other devices? The App store is now wanting me to pay for the Apps again? Is this right? Do I have to buy another  version of these Apps for the iMac?

That is determined by what type of disk that it is. It may be a disk that only allows you to install Windows on your Dell computer and would not allow Windows to be installed on a Boot Camp partitition or as a virtual machine in an app such as VirtualBox on your Mac. If that is the case, you would need to purchase a retail Windows install disk.

  • IWork export to Office error "The file format is invalid" in pages, keynote and numbers.

I am running iWork 09 (latest versions in all cases)*. When I try to export files from all three of the applications Pages, Keynote and Numbers into the relevant Office formats, I get the error "The file format is invalid." It works fine with PDF or RTF export.
I am able to open the same files in the iPad versions of thess iWork apps, and then export them. While this workaround will do for now, I'd like to be able to just export correctly.
Anyone have any suggestions on what might be wrong?
    Thanks,

    * Note that I needed to manually remove iWorks as the For_iWork:iWork '09:iWork9Update5.dmg.zip file wouldn't work on the latest version of iWorks. This involved deleting the iWork folders in the Applications and Library directories.

  • Why do i constantly get 1009 and 100 errors even though i'm updating what i previously downloaded from same country and from the same app store??...its just simply awful

It has been like a month since i can't update my apps which i downloaded from the App Store...now i keep getting error1009 followed by error100 even though i'm still living in the same country and using the same account and updating from the same App Store...this is getting awful, painful and very frustrating???is there any solution...even if when i try to download from third parties,i just get sent back to the same awful App Store...So WHAT is the Solution??????????

I would delete the apps that you are trying to update. The MAS should then offer to install the app and it will install the updated version.
If you are afraid of completely loosing the app then either copy the app to an ext HDD or put it in the Trash, but do not empty the Trash until you are sure that the MAS has installed a new version.

  • My ipad air was bought and activated AFTER September 1st and I downloaded pages, keynote and numbers. I then changed my Apple ID as the password no longer worked, these apps were also deleted I order to be updated. Now I cannot get the free version. Help?

My ipad air was bought and activated AFTER September 1st (activated December 25th) and I downloaded pages, keynote and numbers. I then changed my Apple ID as the password no longer worked, These apps had to be deleted as I needed to update them. Now I cannot get the free version on my ipad. I have searched the internet to see if there is a solution, and I found a few but unfortunately none have worked. I desperately need these apps as my iPad is used for school. Is this an issue I should take up with the apple support centre or something? Please help! Thanks

  • Why Pages, keynotes, and Numbers are not free? I bought my mac Oct 14, 2013

Why Pages, keynotes, and Numbers are not free? I bought my Mac at Oct 14, 2013. With the new OS X Mavericks relaeaed, Apple said that these three Apps are free to new buyers, I bought Macbook Air last week. Why I didn't see these three Apps free after I logged in the Mac App Store?
    Please, Help!

***For those that purchased iWork 09 not on the app store but as a retail disk copy you can get the update for iWork even though it may show $19.99 for all the apps:
You can reupdate to iWork 9.3 by going here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1563
then after it is updated close the app store if opened then open it again and sign out then sign in and then all the iwork 2013 apps should show as update rather than $19.99 cost each. This worked for me. I bought iwork '09 on disk but it showed 19.99 each after I upgraded to Mavericks so  followed the above steps and it worked. I am now updating all my iWork suite I bought on disk, NOT on the Mac app store and now I have a Mac app store set!
Apple sure has a problem that needs to be fixed otherwise iWork will eventually be free for everyone...
Someone at Apple forgot all of us old retail people before the Mac App store existed!

  • I had purchased Pages, Keynote and Numbers for MacPro from the App store. My computer crashed and I had to reinstall everything and they are not appearing in my Purchased. Please help.

I had purchased Pages, Keynote and Numbers for MacPro from the App store. My computer crashed and I had to reinstall everything and they are not appearing in my Purchased. Please help.

You should be able to go > App Store > App store (menu) > store > view my account > sign in.    Where do you vary after following this point.   In between ID summary and Settings should be a section marked iTunes in the cloud and directly below but within that section, the message we are seeking.
I'm not doubting you, just don't see why you have this problem.

  • Unable to update pages, Keynote and Numbers

Under my apps updates its asks to update pages, keynotes and numbers. I press update and it will imediatly proceed to this app cannot be updated. For all three apps. It then asks for a product key to 'purchse' it. I alreay purchased the apps when I bought the laptop.

You're describing the behavior of these apps as versions prior to the Mac App Store. MAS versions do not require product keys, serial numbers or passcodes of any kind. Tell us about any previous versions of these apps or trial versions that you have had on this Mac.
If these apps appear in your MAS Purchases list, then the way to solve this is to delete these apps form your Mac, all vestiges and then you should be able to download the most recent versions from your purchases list.

I can't think of anything I may have done with the Macbook Pro to cause this...
I hadn't used the laptop in about 2 months, opened it yesterday and tried to use Pages and noticed the above issue.  I then tried Keynote and Numbers and got the same issue... I honestly don't know if the issue has existed for more longer than 2 months because I can't remember the last time I used those apps in the laptop prior to yesterday.  But I have used them in the past, of course...
I checked that I had the latest versions (I checked versus the listed versions in Mac App Store), and it seems I do.
Then I updated OSX to latest update to see if that would fix it, and nope, still the same issue...
The only thing I can think of to try is deleting the apps and re-installing from the CD (I bought the apps before the Mac App Store existed).  I hope I can find that CD...

How do I save files from pages, keynote and numbers so I can open them on a PC?

I would have to think that most PC's are running Office, so that would be a safe bet.
If you really want anyone to be able to open and read, PlainText or pdf would be even better. PDF for reading and plaintext if you want them to be able to edit.

I need to uninstall these and reinstall them with my login. Are these apps free for Maverick users?

They are not free unless you purchased them in the past on the App Store. However, if the following applies then you can get them free:
The iWork apps are free with a new iOS device since 1 SEP 2013. They are free with a new Mac since 1 OCT 2013. They are also free with the upgrade to OS X Mavericks 10.9 if you had the previous version installed when you upgraded.
iWork and iLife for Mac come free with every new Mac purchase. Existing users running Mavericks can update their apps for free from the Mac App Store℠. iWork and iLife for iOS are available for free from the App Store℠ for any new device running iOS 7, and are also available as free updates for existing users. GarageBand for Mac and iOS are free for all OS X Mavericks and iOS 7 users. Additional GarageBand instruments and sounds are available for a one-time in-app purchase of $4.99 for each platform.
