If i bought something for an app, do i have to buy it again on a different device?

For the game Bike Race, I bought the super bike on my iPad. I have this game on my iPhone too. Will I have to buy the super bike again or will it be free since I already purchased it?

You would probably have to get in contact with the app developer to find out what their method is for doing so. It can be different for each app.

I bought Pages on my Ipad, but I don't seem to be able to use this with my Mac.

Correct, they are different versions for different operating systems. You will need to purchase the Mac version separately.

  • I've recently change my Apple ID email so I've recently  went to the App Store to download some apps that I've bought a while ago and none of them are showing. I've also searched for the app and wants me to buy it again.

Do you remember the old Apple ID and password?  If so try using that.
Otherwise contact support at the App Store:

I bought Keynote for iPad. Do I have to buy another license for Mac?

    Yes.
Keynote for iOS and Keynote for OS X are two different applications running on two different operation systems.
    They are not interchangeable.

Yes you need to buy them again. Apps written for one device will not run on the other.

There are two SL disks you can buy from Apple: single license (1 system, http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A) and family pack (5 systems, http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC574Z/A).
    Single costs $29, 5-user family costs $49.
Single-use only can be used on one machine at a tiime.

When I go to the app store on my iphone and start to download Pages, the button has a plus and says 9.99. Doesn't look like it's free.

As RG says, if you're in the US, you haven't allowed for the sales taxes charged by your city and state. You'll need to buy something less expensive, add a credit card, or redeem an additional iTunes card.

  • Purchased numbers for ipad now bought Mac book pro do I have to buy numbers again?

I bought an Ipad and bought Numbers and Pages for it. $19.99 each and now bought a MacBook Pro. Do I have to buy another copy of each for my MacBook Pro? I only bought it for my ipad because I assumed it would be for both and I wouldn't have to buy a word processor suite if I bought Pages. Does Apple nickel and dime you for stuff like this often? that they brag is useable between all devices? Please let me know so I can return this before my time is up.
    Thank you!

Allan is right, the App Stores for OS X (Mac) and iOS (iPad/iPhone) have nothing to do with each other.
It's not a secret, and whoever has told you different was wrong. Many of us have paid for both, but the good news is that you do NOT have to buy the whole suite, but you can purchase only the app(s) you want or need. Try that with MS Office...

Hold it... are you going to return a MacBook Pro over a few dollars?!

  • How can I buy another "license" for an app I already have?

How can I buy another "license" for an app I already have?

I understand what that's like, believe me. And adding problems with an Apple product really adds insult to injury. Trust me, calling them when the lines are open will be really good. They're very nice, and from my own experience they've always found a solution for me. When you're frenzied it's sometimes nice to talk to a person instead of fill out a form. Refer to my post above for their number, but I don't think they open until 9 'o clock Pacific Time or something like that. Good luck!

  • TS1702 I bought pages for my iMac now i have an iPad and would like to put it there , don't know what to do

i recently bought pages for my imac , i now have an ipad and would like to also put it there, but i have no clue how to do it.

You must also buy Pages for the iPad. It is a separate app.
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pages/id361309726?mt=8
Find it in the App Store.
    It's only $10 USD.

I bought pages on the app store and have math type installed. However I am do not have the option to "Insert > Mathtype Equations" either with right click or the drop down menus at the top of the screen. I also have OS Lion installed if this makes any difference. Please help!

I assume but I can't check that MathType rely on the standard iWork applications location which isn't the one used by the mac App Store.
Create a subfolder named iWork '09 in the Applications folder.
Select the iwork applications which you own then drag them into the iWork '09 folder.
You will be asked to type your password. Don't worry, it's normal.
It's required because the System must store the infos describing the new location so that, if a new revision is delivered, mac App Store will be able to find the apps where they are.
When this will be done, try to re-install MathType.
I guess that this time it will behave flawlessly.

  • Hi, i bought numbers for my mac air in august. do i have to buy it again for my iPhone 5?

hi, i bought inumbers for my mac air in august. do i have to buy it again for my iPhone 5?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
There are two differents Numbers versions: Numbers for OS X, and Numbers for iOS.
For your Mac, you purchased Numbers for OS X, so now you can install Numbers on all your Macs as many times as you need for free. However, the iPhone 5 uses Numbers for iOS, so you have to purchase Numbers for iOS in order to get this app onto the phone
