If i burn a cd to itnues, will m computer get viruses from doing this?
im just wondering, because ive just gotten my computer fixed, and i dont really want viruses on it. so yeah
No, importing (ripping) or exporting (burning) cd's into iTunes cannot expose you to a computer virus. (I am talking audio CD's here - mp3's could possibly be a different story, but I doubt it.)

5 the prices ( at least on pc's ) could be cheaper if they did not 'give them away' ( the cost is hidden in the price *YOU* pay
6 if you reply to them , the likeyhood is that you r now on some emailing list . or they have you IP . thus opening the door to spurious emails , or control of your machine .
7 userr says they *can be deleted * not always true. control panel - add/remove does not TOTALLY flush them out of the system
8 the suppllier * thinks* they enhance the product to entice other sales . but really that is upto the user to do , as he wants
9 if they are * needed* Microsoft would include them in the OS
10 so from the above . it can be understood that the pc market , is changing . WHY?
Sales of desktoip and laptop pc are down , they only thing selling in higher volumes is tablets .
think on this what is a tablet ... answer , a laptop without a keyboard , that you pay more for

Will Macs start getting Viruses because of the intel chip?
So a guy that works for me and is a person that hates Macs, and I have about 8 of them, says that now that Apple is going to use Intel Chips, Macs will start getting all the great viruses that PC's get everyday.
Is this true?
If it is, I will never buy a new Mac again.

As people before mentioned, it is the software, not the hardware that brings in the viri (plural of virus), trojans, etc. Here is a website you can use to hammer down your point.
The Secunia website lists the known security vulnerabilities of different software like web browsers and operating systems. So compare Apple Macintosh OS X with Windows XP Home Edition. As of this posting OS X has two vulnerabilities which were found in December of 2005. All previous known vulnerabilities have have been patched by Apple. Windows XP Home Edition, however, has 24 security vulnerabilities, three of which date back to 2002.
So, it seems like Apple is much better than Microsoft at patching security vulnerabilities. When I checked in December of 2005, Mac OS X, actually had no known security vulnerabilities. You can be sure that Apple will patch the two new holes soon (if history is a guide).

HI there can you tell me why none of my music will play on itunes it just displays a message saying it cannot be located please help it is driving me nuts
JanAbout 5 days ago for no apparent reason at all, about
7000 songs which i have collected over a number of
years has just decided that it wont play in ITUNES or
in any other of my media players. When you click on
Play over a song nothing happens. The play icon
doesnt even come up on the screen.
Steps I have taken so far are:
1 - Remove all tracks from ITUNES and then re-add the
folder where all the songs are. This has obviously
removed all songs, but when I have re-added the
folder , it has added about 650 tracks back on to the
playlist. These 650 tracks will play. This leaves
approx 6400 tracks that it wont play.
By the way all the songs on my PC are MP3 type and I
have had no problem playing any of them until last
week.
2 - I have re-installed ITUNES and reinstalled
Quicktime and that has not worked.
3 - All of my songs are backed up on to a External
Hard Drive. I have tried to restore the songs and
also play them directly from the external hard drive.
I get the same problem when I do this.
4 - I have enabled and allowed all permissions for
the account that I am running the PC from.
I am guessing there must be some settnig or Registry
Key that is blocking me playing the tracks from the
PC. I have also tried to launch the songs in Media
Player and Sonic stage but thsi has not played
either.
All the tracks are in the folder structure as they
were before so I know they are there. I just need to
somehow unlock them.......
If anyone has any ideas, I would be very grateful as
I dont want to lose my entire music collection.
Also I cannot find anyweher on here that is a Support
number or email address for Apple as this is an
ITUNES issue and they should be resolving it for
me!!!!

i got this message while buring a CD on itunes. "The Attemp to burn the disc failed because of medium write error"..what do you make of this?
i think the CD was bad. i took the machine to the Apple store and they said the Optical Drive was OK. so it must be the CD's i'm using... i use Verbatim type. let me know.'Mediium write error' means it failed to write to the disc - some makes work better than others and you may just have hit a single bad disc or maybe your burner doesn't like the make of disc. I've always had good results with TDK.

When I repair permissions in disk untilities, I get one result that cannot be repaired:
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired.
I recently had a new hard drive installed by Apple, after mine failed. The permissions seem to get out of whack quite often, and I get the message above.

Will I also get virus on my iPhone if I sync it with a computer with virus
I am disinclined to test the sync application of my iPhone and iTunes for the reason that I knew my laptop contains viruses. If I sync my iPhone to my laptop for the first time will my iPhone also can be affected with virus? It's not very likely. Viruses have to be designed for specific operating systems. Your computer's operating system is Windows (I'm assuming) and your phone runs on iOS, a completely different system, so anything that affects windows will not be able to transfer to iOS.
Now if the music files you ahve on your computer are corrupted in some way they may not transfer or play properly on the iphone, but even if that has some effect other than making the songs not play, that shouldn't do any damage that taking the music off the phone won't fix. -

Unfortunately, Apple assumes that you will be using a simple modem with their routers. Something like this, for example, which will allow the Guest Network feature to work correctly, since the AirPort will be the main router on the network.
The Uverse is a modem/router, also known as a gateway......a device that combines the functions of a separate modem and separate router in one package. An example of a modem/router would look like this:
Because the Uverse is already operating as the main router for the network, the AirPort cannot take that role. So, the Guest Network will not function correctly with the type of device that you have.....even if you try to enable it in AirPort Utility.
Suggest that you use the AirPort router as your main network, and use the Uverse wireless for "guests".
Sometimes, it is possible to reconfigure a modem/router to act as if it were a simple modem. I do not think that this is possible with a Uverse product, but you could check with ATT on that possibility if you wanted to do so. -

Try these steps.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
My computer seems to have been polluted by some virus os whatever, which the Antivirus software does not seem to find. It is turning off on it's own, without any apparent intervention, while iddle.
Then I read about this issue with Remote Management. IS there any connection here?

I have lightroom 4 I've had it for years and it has imported my raw files from my CF card without issue . Now when I plug in my CF card to import new files it says import operations not performed and there are no image previews . When I continue by hitting "import" I get a pop up window that states "the files are not recognized by raw format support in Light Room"
Don't feel too bad. If the D4S has as many menus and custom functions as my Canon 5D Mark iii its easy to get messed up.
If you downloaded from the link I gave you it will be Lr 5.4. The link was just to show you when the D4S was supported. The newest version is 5.7.1 and can be downloaded here. Don't know your OS so you will have to pick Windows or Mac. Product updates
On my Mac I just run the downloaded installer program (its a full version and not an small update) and it installs the new version and erases the old version. If you are on Windows you will have to get help from a windows person. -

If my computer meets Microsoft's requirements my PC manufacturer should provide the Windows 10 drivers. If Sony choose not to provided Windows 10 drivers for all their PC that are compatible with Windows 10, it will be really off putting and resulting in me never purchasing another Sony PC. It tarnishes a company's reputation when they do unfair things like this. This would just not be fair Sony. First, try the automated fixit from Microsoft on the link below.
Windows 7
Check if the drive will now burn a disc.
If it still doesn't work, click the Start Menu, open All Programs, open Accessories, right click the Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator'. In to the prompt type the following command and hit enter.
sfc /scannow ( note that there is a space between sfc and the / )
Let the process complete, then type exit and hit enter.
Next, click the Start Menu, open the Control Panel and click on Device Manager. Next click to open DVD/CD-ROM Drives. Right click the drive and select uninstall. Do not delete drivers if asked. When the device has uninstalled click on the 'Scan for Hardware Changes' icon ( usually just below Help on the toolbar ). Let windows reinstall the drive and see if it is now able to burn a disc.
