If i buy an ipad2 in thailand, will it work in america?

we are concerned about being able to convert to att or verizon as well

It will work, you just might need a plug adapter for charging it from the mains (you won't need a convertor). In terms of 3G, for Verizon you will need a CDMA based iPad which are only sold in the US - to use AT&T you should be able to swap in an AT&T micro-sim

If I buy an iPad2 in Cambodia will it work in the uk

The iPad itself will certainly work. If you are referrring to a 3G connection, then yes, it should also work with any compatible GSM carrier and data plan, unless you buy from an unauthorized source in which case it would be possible, albeit unlikely, to get an iPad from one of the few carriers who lock the iPad to themselves.

  • If i buy an iphone in Kuwait will it work in the UK?

If I buy an iphone from Kuwait will it work in the UK please?

If I buy from Zain or Viva - I think these are networks in Kuwait - would it still work in the UK pls?
    Yes, it should.
What is a legitimate source - Apple Store, or authorised Apple resellers?
There is no Apple Store in Kuwait (not one run by Apple themselves, in any case). Viva and Zain are the only authorized resellers of the iPhone in Kuwait.

  • If i buy an iphone4 from USA, will it work in Australia?

    Will it work in Australia?

If you want to buy an iPhone in the US and use it in other countries, you MUST buy an unlocked iPhone from the Apple store.
Keep in mind that warranty is country specific.  Unless you're just getting a heck of a deal because of the currency exchange rate, you are better off buying one in the country you intend to use it in.

  • If i purchase the ipad2 with wifi will it work with aircard?

Trying to figure out the best way to get service anywhere on my iPad2 or laptop.

What do you mean by "aircard". If you mean a device that plugs into a USB port, not, an iPad will not work with it. "MiFi" or personal hotspot devices work very well, and, depending on your carrier, you can get ones that also run on 4G, thus giving you a faster connection than a 3G iPad would support. They can also be used by mulitple devices at once.
If you have a phone such as an iPhone or Android device and your carrier supports it, you can also use your phone as a personal hotspot device. Contact your carrier for pricing.

  • Can I buy the US version? Will it work on UK Mac?

OK I know this might be a really really stupid question - but a friend of mine is in the US at the moment and I was going to ask her if she could buy iLife 09 for me and bring it back to the UK.
WIll it work? Or it is a region specific thing?
    Advice appreciated

    Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh! Zzzzzzz-zzzzz.
    Oops; where was I..?
The programs (in iLife '09) are exactly the same, wherever you buy them: Germany, USA, Japan, UK, wherever. When installing you choose which language you want to use. You'd choose English, obviously.
When the programs are installed, then - like all Apple programs - they have 'Preferences' which you can set up by clicking on the name of the program when it's running ..like you can click on Safari at top-left of this window (..assuming that you're using Safari, which you probably are..) and underneath that are Preferences.
iMovie - and iDVD - has Preferences, and the default ('factory set') Prefs include creating new Projects as NTSC 30 fps video ..because the program assumes that you're an American user.
Under the 'Video' tab, you simply choose 'PAL - 25 fps' if you're using a normal UK camcorder ..which would normally record at 25 frames per second.
Simple ..that's it. Nothing to worry about. That's what everyone in the UK who bought their iMovie/iLife here also has to do. That';s the normal procedure if you live in a PAL country (Europe).
NOTE that some (most?) stills cameras which also shoot video, as a kind of sideline, often shoot video at 30 fps. So check the specifications of any stills camera which you may use for shooting video. If it does shoot at 30fps, then before importing its video you'd set iMovie's Prefs to NTSC - 30 fps, so that the material shot at 30fps is imported into a 30fps Project, not a 25fps Project!
Video will look slightly jerky if 25fps is put in a 30fps Project - and vice versa.
(If you really want to see what happens, here's a 25fps Project, and here's a 30fps Project with the same material in it. What's jerky in one is smooth in the other, and vice versa.)
All this is NORMAL ..it's not tricky or complex. It's the same wherever you buy the program.

If it's Wi-Fi only model then yes.
If it's Wi-Fi + Cellular model, it will work but not on LTE.

  • If I buy an iPhone in USA, will it work when I return to Australia?

I have an iPhone 5 that I purchased in Australia and dropped it in salt water at the beach. I am heading to Hawaii next week and was wondering
    1. Will I be able to get a replacement phone from the genius bar in Hawaii?
    2. If I can get a replacement, what model will I get as I know apple do not sell iPhone 5 anymore?
    2. If I can get a replacement phone, will the replacement iPhone work fine back in Australia with an Australian sim card?
    3. How much would this cost?
    Thank you.

It is Prudent to purchase the Phone in the Country it is intended for use in... it will then work as expected.
If you are attracted by the seemingly  Cheap   prices in the US... you are failing to take into account that you are probably looking at the phones that are LOCKED and CONTRACTED to a US Carrier.
    AND...
iPhone Warranty  >  The warranty is only valid in the country of original purchase... Except for EU Countries..

  • If i buy an ipad in thailand will i have warranty in the uk?

I know that here in Thailand, there are no actual Apple stores, just authorised resellers. So if I bought an ipad in Thailand, when I go back to the UK would I be able to take it in to an Apple store if it broke? Or would I need to buy Apple Care or something for it to be valid?

  • Iphone 4 in Thailand--will it work?

Will the verizon iphone 4 work in thailand?  I've talked to three customer service reps and thus far the answer has been no, yes then no.  I just apped up my new phone in anticipation for my asia travel and was recently dismayed to find out my purchases won't work.  Can anyone confirm either way?

It appears that part of Thailand has CDMA voice service
And note the rate, $1.99 per minute.
If you don't mind that, and are going to be in the part of Thailand without CDMA coverage, and if your trip is 21 days or less, you can get an international phone  loaned to you by Verizon.  It's free, you just pay for usage and you can keep your US phone number.
If you are there for a while, get a cheap unlocked GSM phone and get a local SIM when you arrive.
And we won't comment about doing research before buying,  most of the comparisons between the AT&T and Verizon iPhone mentioned the difference in international coverage!

  • If i buy an iPhone in Malaysia, will it works in India?

I am currently living in Malaysia and I am going to study my Medicine in India soon.
As we all know iPhone 6 will be released real soon rumored to be around September 2014.
So my question is if i buy an iPhone 6 in Malaysia, will it still works when I move to India? As I know, you can't use an iPhone which has been brought directly from US due to the SIM -lock I guess..
Will it be the same if I buy an iPhone in Malaysia and can't use it in India or I need to do some kind of unlock process in India?
    Thanks in advance..

I see..Let's say if it is an unlocked iPhone which I'm able to use it in Malaysia,so i will also be able to use it in India right?
The locked iPhone is only usable in US whereas the unlocked one will be usable in anywhere outside US?
    Thanks for replying ^^
Oh ya,I know that initially all iPhone were only subjected to AT&T carrier which is the US carrier..So is it means we can use it on whatever carrier at anywhere outside of US after we have unlocked it?
