If I buy an iPhone 6 in Germany, will it work in the 4G network of Brazil?

Dear list members, do you know if the 4G bands used by iPhone 6 models in Germany are compatible with the 4G bands used in Brazil? I will spend some time in Germany next year and would like to buy an iPhone 6 there, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to use the 4G network when I get back to Brazil. Thank you for the attention.

You have 3 concerns. The first is that you must get an unlocked iPhone 6 for it even to work in Brazil. "Unlocked" is not the same as "SIM-free", so be sure to get Unlocked.
The second is that Apple can refuse to provide warranty or non-warranty service on iPhones outside of the country where purchased (The EU counts as one "country", but Brazil does not). They don't always refuse, but it's hit or miss.

LTE will not work at all in Europe ,wrong bands with any European carriers
Warranty is not international ....valid in USA only
Current prices are for a subsidised 24 month contract ,no unlocked iPhone 5 available yet in USA .
UK prices are unlocked tax inc US prices are before sales Tax
You may get caught at customs ...VAT + duty as iPhone is over personal Allowance
    Generally not a good idea
The UK version is A1429 GSM not available in US

  • If I buy an iphone 5 in America, will it work in the UK?

I am looking to travel to America at the end of October and was wondering if I buy an Iphone 5 out there, if I bring it back, will it work here in the UK?
I've heard that they do work if you unlock the Iphone, not sure if that's true or not?

Apple are not selling unlocked iPhone 5 yet with no indication of when
Apple will when they start selling unlocked be the only source of unlocked iPhone 5
in US  all other sources will be locked to a carrier and will only work with that carrier
The US prices currently showing are subsidised 24 month contract and no taxes
    Uk prices all inc tax
The warranty is NOT international and the US iPhone 5 will NOT work ever on
    4G in the UK
A locked iPhone can ONLY be unlocked by the carrier

  • If i buy an iphone 5c in usa will it work in in Italy?

If i buy an iphone 5c in USA, will it work in Italy ?

Before you buy, remember, that the warranty is only valid in the country where the phone was bought. In case your phone might need to be serviced, you'll have to send it back to the USA.
If this fact does not matter to you, make sure to buy a SIM-free phone.

If you buy iPhone for T-Mobile, it will arrive with a nano-SIM card already installed that you can activate by visiting an Apple Retail Store or a T-Mobile store or by calling T-Mobile. If you buy a SIM-free iPhone, you will need to purchase a GSM-compatible nano-SIM card separately. In the United States, you can purchase such a SIM from AT&T or T-Mobile. When you travel internationally, you can use a nano-SIM card for iPhone 5c from a local GSM carrier. The unlocked iPhone 5c model is A1532 (GSM). if i bought an iphone from New York, will it work with a moroccan network?

If it is locked, yes you will have to unlock it to use with a Moroccan
wireless network. Only the wireless provider to which an iPhone
    is locked can unlock it.
If you can get that far, what does it say when you look at Settings+>

It will work in the UK, though you will need a plug adapter for the charger (you don't need a convertor for the charger).
If you get a 3G version then get the AT&T version as they use micro-sim cards, so you can swap in a UK micro-sim card. The Verizon iPad is CDMA based and doesn't use micro-sim cards, so from a built-in 3G point of view isn't much use in the UK (I'm not aware of any CDMA carriers in Europe).

  • If i buy an iphone 5s from usa, will it work in turkey?

Hi everyone,i want to buy an iphone 5s from usa but i am having doubts. If i buy it from an apple store, will it work in turkey?

You will get 3G coveragae but LTE will most likely NOT work. Also, the warranty will not be valid in Turkey. Should the phone develop any issues you will have to take the phone back to the US for service.

  • If I buy an Iphone 5S in Colombia, Will it work in Canada?

Hi, I send thanks in advance to people who may help me with this question

In general LTE will only work in the world region the device was designed for. And for it to work correctly all of the bands for your region must be supported by the device.
So assume that a North American iPhone will not work on LTE in Ireland, and decide if it is worth the difference in cost. Remembering that the prices you see advertised in the US are subsidized prices, and an unlocked phone costs much more than that. For example, a 5S 16 GB is $649, a 32 GB is $749, and a 64 GB is $849. To this you must add sales tax, typically 8% to 10% depending on where you buy in (NYC is 8.75%).
Then once you get it back to Ireland you must pay import duty and VAT, unless you smuggle it in. If you get caught smuggling it there will be a penalty on top of the duty and VAT, and they may even seize the phone. I have no idea what the chance of getting caught is, but if I were a customs inspector I would watch for things like that.
And finally, once you have it safely in Ireland if it ever needs service you will have to bring it back to the US.

  • If I buy an iPhone 4S at Verizon, will their activation skip the initial set up?

I'll be upgrading to an iPhone 4S ASAP after my upgrade date on 10/23. Thing is, I really like doing the start up stuff myself.
When I've bought phones in Verizon stores in the past, they open the boxes and turn on the phones first.  Do they do this with the iPhone, too, and skip all of those great screens with the initial set up Apple has made for us?  I think I'd rather order online and enjoy the process if that's the case, but if they don't, going in store to try and get a phone right away would be nice.
    Thoughts?

Yes. In order to activate the iPhone on the verizon network (or at least on the original iPhone 4) they have to set it up on their computers. So even if you buy it online, I'm almost postisive that they will have to have you bring it in, and have it set up by them. Or at least that's what happened for me. It could be different now.

  • Buying an iPhone from UK, unlocked, will it work in Zambia?

    Hi,
I am buying and iPhone 4s from a friend in the UK for my brother who lives in Zambia.
The phone was orginally bought from the apple store and is unlocked, if he were to buy a micro sim from MTN (phone comapny in zambia) would he be able to use the phone?
    Thanks

If officially unlocked, the phone will work on any GSM network anywhere in the world. However, since there are no supported iPhone carriers in Zambia, not all iPhone features may work properly without editing the APN settings.

  • If I buy an iPhone 5 in Canada will it work in Italy?

I'm Italian but I'm going to study in Canada for 6 month.. I want to buy an iphone 5 in Canada but will it work in italy when i'll came back? there is a model in canada that work also in italy?

If you purchase the "officially unlocked iPhone 5", yes. This model is only sold by Apple in Canada...no where else.
Be aware: Your warranty/support will only be valid in Canada, & the phone will NOT support LTE in Europe. It will only support LTE in North America.
