If i buy an unlocked iPhone 6 plus on Apple online store, will it work with CDMA network?

I see iphone 6 unlock is A1524, but it has 2 versions, GSM and CDMA, which one will i get? CDMA? many thanks

I clicked the "Learn more about the unlocked iPhone" link (just below the words "Unlocked and contract-free" on the store page: http://store.apple.com/us/buy-iphone/iphone6 and it displayed the following in the fine print at the bottom:
An unlocked iPhone may be activated on supported GSM carrier networks

If I buy a new iPad4 from the apple online store will it ship with ios6?
I let a so called "friend" borrow my iPad and the **** went an updated the OS to ios7.
Dispite restoring from a backup on my computer ios7 remains, rendering it usless for work.
If I buy a new iPad from the Apple Online Store will it certainly ship with ios6?
    No guesses please.
    Many thanks.

I don't believe there is any correlation between the serial number and the version of iOS, but the sales person may be able to tell you when the unit was received into their stock. If it was before September 18th, it certainly should have iOS 6.

  • Hello, if i bye an unlocked iphone 5 from UK or USA will it work in Bulgaria with Bulgarian operator

hello, if i bye an unlocked iphone 5 from UK or USA will it work in Bulgaria

If you live in Bulgaria, don't purchase an unlocked iPhone 5 from the USA, because you can't purchase them there anyway at the moment.
From Bulgaria it is better to buy it in the UK where they do sell fully unlocked iPhone 5's and yes, it will work.  The only problems you may have are with the LTE 4G as frequencies differ from country to country and in the UK, the first 4G network is only just being introduced at the end of October by EE, which is a collaboration between Orange and T-Mobile.
If you want an iPhone 5, then buy it in the UK and not the US.

If you are both on the T-mobile network, the sim card should work.  If you did a Erase All Content and Settings, then she should be at the point of activation as a new device...talk to T-mobile and be sure the sim she is using is a valid sim card.

  • If i bought iphone 5s from apple retail store on t mobile with free contract it will work in egypt

If i bought iphone 5s from apple retail store on t mobile with free contract it will work in egypt????

There are conflicted information  in this forum. The contract free T-mobile 5s is not "unlocked" in US, it  is supposed to be unlocked for overseas GSM. However, it is not clear  whether you need to activate it on T-mobile first and wait for 40 days  for unlock code to unlock it before you can use it overseas.
I contacted both Apple and T-mobile multiple times. None of them answered question with a clear answer.
The  best way to confirm this is to purchase the 5s from the Apple Store.  Remove the T-mobile SIM before you turn 5s on and replace the SIM with  your international SIM. Turn it on and go through the initial setup to  see if the iPhone is lock or not.
If  it is locked, simply return to the Apple store with full refund in 30  days. Since Apple is not answering the question, why not try it yourself  on their dime?

And it's totally impractical for any OS to provide complete backwards compatibility in perpetuity. So no, Apple cannot grant your request. As WJ said, it's the developers' reponsibility to provide updates to their applications to be compatible with newer operating system releases, whatever the platform might be.

  • Buying the nano from a non Apple Online store

If i buy the 2g nano via a non Apple (online) store will i be able to use Apple's helpdesk and garanty which you do get if you would buy the nano via the online store.
Because i dont want to be waiting longer on possible replacements for the high pitched tone via third party shops.

You get the same warranty whether you buy from Apple or another vendor. However other vendors may try to sell you their own insurance or extended warranty but that's nothing to do with the standard warranty and it'll be your choice to buy or not

  • Is unlocked iphone from UK apple retail store the same as from online store

Today I bought an unlocked iphone 4 from my local UK Apple Retail store. I explained to the store assistant that as I work abroad for several months at a time I needed to be able to use my iPhone with both a UK carrier( not sure which one to go with yet), and a local carrier when in another country, therefore I wanted an unlocked sim free one. I bought the 16gig version and payed the full £499 for it, however, when I got home and looked at the receipt it also lists a "No Contract Sim" with a part number but with a unit price of £0.00.
So I am confused..! Is this the same as the sim free iphone available from the online store and can I use it with any carrier by swapping the sim card depending on my needs? Or, is this some other kind of sim card that will lock the phone once I activate it the first time. I had assumed that by paying the full price I was getting an unlocked sim free phone as described on the UK online store description. If it is not, I will need to return it and order one online.

The iPhone could be purchased at full price only at retail stores not online at least in US:
This FAQ can be found on the US site with a little digging (read on to know why digging was necessary)
"Is a new contract with AT&T required?
A new 2-year commitment with AT&T is required when starting your purchase online. Additionally, the Apple Retail Store offers a no-commitment iPhone for the full retail price."
This lines above are the info that you can read in a pop-up FAQ that will appear if you click on one nicely hidden FAQ link, reading: "Is a new contract with AT&T required?", located on the bottom left corner of the ordering process area.
What is misleading is that the FAQs on the landing page where users can select a 3GS or a 4, the FAQ for "Can I buy an iPhone without an AT&T contract?" is answered with a straight "No. iPhone requires a two-year AT&T wireless service contract." Such statement applies only to online store purchases and that's a piece of info that only a more careful, meticulous and OCD reader may find out since another FAQ tucked away elsewhere (read below) says you can buy iPhones at full price by going to any Apple Retail Store.
There is no way for me to give you a direct link to the other FAQ stating that, because it's accessible only during a purchasing session, therefore you'll have to go through the few steps below if you want to read that FAQ by yourself:
    1) Go to the online store,
    2) Select the iPhone image to start the buying process,
    3) Once on the page where you can choose the 3GS or the 4, select one,
    4) On the next page you should see 3 FAQ links (gray text, the bottom left corner),
    5) Click the one that reads: "Is a new contract with AT&T required?",
    6) Read the FAQ in the pop-up that will open after you clicked on the link.
There are no further details about unlocking, jail-breaking or the fact that the iPhone 4 uses a micro SIM instead of a standard or mini SIM card so you may want to ask more info in that regard to a Genius at the Retail Store to learn more about how you can buy an iPhone and use it with another carrier outside US.
If UK and US sales work following the same rules, your iPhone bought online should be carrier-locked, so if you've got one that was unlocked and contract-free from the UK store then either you are lucky guy, or sales in UK are more flexible than US. In both cases what would count is that your phone is unlocked, now the info you may want to get is simply what SIM and Carrier services will work on your iPhone when you are in US.
Best to you and I hope some of these info will help you. Good luck!

  • Unlocked iPhone 4 from UK online store

I live in India & since iPhone 4 is not launched here, my cousin in UK ordered iPhone 4 from UK online store at 499 pounds for me. I have few queries to be resolved:-
    1) Its supposed to work with any SIM, any carrier & any country - right?
    2) Should I activate it in UK or in India & why?
    3) Once activated with 1 SIM, it won't be locked to that particular SIM or carrier or country - right?
    3) Every time I change the SIM card, do I need to activate again (re-activate)?

Does iPhone work with any SIM card or carrier worldwide?
iPhone 3GS works with SIM cards and iPhone 4 works with micro-SIM cards from compatible carriers, including prepaid cards. Non-GSM carrier networks do not support iPhone. Availability of 3G data depends on carrier support for the radio frequencies used by iPhone.
The above is a quote from Apple's web site. The link above shows the rest of the iPhone 4 related FAQs.
Provided you can find a network in India that will provide a micro sim a sim free phone from the UK should work fine, If not it is possible to modify a normal sim so it will work. Doing a search on the internet will probably bring up instructions.
You will need to wait until you get the sim before you can activate it so it's probably best to do it in India.
The phone is sim free and should not be locked to any sim, network or country.
Your last question I'm not sure about but I suspect you won't need to re-activate the phone.
Bear in mind that Iphone warranties are only valid in the country of origin.

  • Does the iphone selling in apple online store malaysia support tethering?

I heard from my friend which iphone 4s my friend bought from maxis support internet Tethering.Does apple online store malaysia support it too ?

Whether or not you can use the Personal Hotspot feature is not dependent on the phone or where it's sold, it's dependent on whether your carrier supports it and whether you subscribe to a data plan that allows tethering.
Celcom, Digi and Maxis are the 3 supported carriers in Malaysia. According to this list: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1937 they all support the personal hotspot feature. It will not appear until you contact your carrier and have them enable that feature on your account.

  • IPhone Developer Program (Apple Online Store not available in my country)

I registered to the iPhone Developer Program (at the beginning of the beta) and a few weeks back i received an e-mail from Apple, that i can enroll to the Developer Program. I clicked on the link in the e-mail, and it brought me to a country selection page, where i had to select which country's Apple Online Store i want to use to purchase the product (the Apple Developer Program). The problem is my country (Hungary) don't have an Online Store, so i couldn't finish the enrollment process.
Can anyone help me about this issue? Is there any other way to purchase it?

    Any news about it?
    I got the same problem...

  • I'm visiting Boston from Europe and was wondering if I could buy an unlocked iPhone 5 at a retail store.

So the thing is that I need an iPhone 5 that I can use in my country (Iceland). It's so much cheaper for me to buy it in the USA than here at home.
Is Apple selling completely unlocked iPhone 5's at the retail stores and if yes, how much are they selling them at?
    Best regards,
    Gunnar - Iceland

Apple has not even announced when or if they will release an unlocked iphone 5 in the U.S.

  • If I buy an unlocked iPhone 5s in the U.S, will it then work in Europe(Norway)?

Will an unlocked iPhone 5s from the U.S work in Norway?

It will probably work, but only on 3G and because of the frequency differences between the US and other countries you will never get 4G.
Also remember that iPhone warranty is not international, so if anything goes wrong with the phone you are looking at getting on a plane and taking it back to the US.
If you want to use the phone in Norway, why on earth don't you buy it in Norway?  If you buy the phone in Norway, then you have EU warranty so any European country and you will also be able to get 4G because you have the correct frequency for your country.
I never really understand why people want to buy iPhones in the US and use them in European countries where it is perfectly easy to buy phones from in the first place and where Apple stores do exist?
You won't save any money and the iPhones in the US are not cheaper - they only look that way because most are carrier subsidised.  If you buy an unlocked phone from the US, then by the time you have paid local taxes and sales tax and then import duties, it will work out at the same cost anyway and then you won't have the warranty cover for your country and you also won't be able to get 4G either.

  • When i buy new unlock iphone 5 in apple store, can i use it in the russia?

I want to buy it in the france on november

As long as it is unlocked it will work on GSM networks.  Whether it works on LTE networks will depend on the bands they use and what the phone supports.
Keep in mind that warranty and support are only valid in the country of Origin.  Excepetion being the EU where warranty and support for a device purchased in an EU country are honored in any EU country.
