If I buy Numbers now, will the new update be free?

Hi, sorry if this is a silly question but... I was getting ready to buy Numbers, Pages & Keynote and I see that from WWDC there will be an update released soon. I wonder if anyone knows if this will be a free update or an entire new release and therefore new purchase?

Apple didn't clarify if it will be a free or paid version, so we can't tell you an answer.
In the case that it's a simple update, you will be able to update for free. If it's a completely new version, you will probably have to pay unless Apple decides to sell Numbers for free. As we don't know it, we can't tell you the answer

Good day, I am writing to Apple because of the iPhone 4 i have for two years now and never had a problem with service or anything until the new update I.o.S7. It has created problems with my phone by being very very slow. I don't like how I am waitnig to go onto the internet or anything because this is taking up my usuages and makes me pay more to bell since this update had made my phone slow. This update is more for the iPhone 5/5C/5S and now any other latest phone. Please email back stating if anything can be done.

Since the new update, when I plug my phone to my car stereo it shows albums/music that I have in my main computer and it seems to be sorting through it making it run slower. Also when I skip to the next track it displays music not on my device but that could be found in my computer or iCloud

If you mean this one:
It's the orientation lock, it stops the display rotating when you rotate your phone.
You can turn this on/off from the control Centre which you can reveal by swiping upwards from the bottom of the screen.

If buying an ipod touch now will the new apps be on it already?

so i am looking at getting an ipod touch. i live in new zealand so iphone is not an option. but i am a little confused if the new apps in 1.1.3 will be on the new ipod touch's. Anyone able to confirm that the new apps will be included in new ipod touch's moving forwards?

I would tend to say that you need to talk to your retailer when you go to buy the itouch as they should know if the new apps are on the unit or not. (if they don't know then assume they aren't on the touch)
Since you live in a country that doesn't have an Itunes store or a way that you can access content on itunes if the itouch doesn't come with the apps there will be no way for you to get them, Oh and I would tend to think that your looking at a month or more before new units with the apps are shipped worldwide, who knows it could be six months or more.
There are tons of other people around the world that bought the itouch and now because they have no way to create an account with itunes (which is the way the apps get on if they don't come from a factory unit) then they are SOL.
From what I can see this whole thing is one big mess and the only winners are going to be the new customers that order from the apple store.

Your new update indicates that it will disable my McAfee protection. If this update will disable my McAfee I do not want to download it, however, it continues to come up. How do I cancel the request to up grade? If you are providing a new upgrade it should not interfere with virus protection software. Please advise!!

No, updating to Firefox 5.0 won't affect the McAfee security program, beyond their Site Advisor extension for Firefox.
The Site Advisor extension is blocklisted by Mozilla due to the Site Advisor extension being the #2 cause of crashing the Firefox 5.0 betas. I have read that McAfee is working on a re-written version that is projected to be available in the 3rd week of July. By then, Firefox 6.0 will probably be released. I hope they are smart enough to have that extension compatible with 6.0, or they'll be putting their users through unnecessary aggravation all over again.

Will the new update for mozilla support the Realplayer plugin?

before I install the present new upgrade,i'd like to know if the new upgrade supports realplayer plugin as i like to download clips and stuff. when google put in a new upgrade, it disabled Realplayer. If it does, i'll stay with the older version,even though it crashes a lot because of plug-incontainer.exe., which causes the slowness & crashing.

Was just on the phone to the Support Express line ( re a problem that this forum had already solved for me) the guy said I needed to install the update but added its would erase all the content on my iPad. Have only had the ipad2 for 2 weeks and just got it loaded with the stuff I need (not all through iTunes) so would really rather not have to start from scratch. Does anyone know if this is true?

Yes, that's correct. You need to sync your iPad first to create a current backup. Note that anything you've downloaded to the iPad that's not in iTunes will be lost. Syncing is one way - iTunes to iPad. See
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store.
When you update iOS your device is first completely erased. Then the new iOS is installed. You will then be asked if you wish to restore as new or from a backup. If you choose the backup then everything that was most recently synced with iTunes will be restored.

Please can anyone tell me how to stop my 4s iPhone running down on the battery (despite fitting a brand new battery) and not holding charge for more than half a day - will the new update cure this problem?

My iPhone 4s will not hold a battery charge longer than half a day even if charged all night. I am now updating to 8.1.3 - does anyone know if this will make any difference?

What is your "Elements 2" - Photoshop Elements 2 or Premiere Elements 2? For now I will assume Premiere Elements 2 which had to be on some version of Windows.
What do you have from Premiere Elements 2 - project files (.prel) or exports to file formats such as .avi or .mpg or .mov?
Project files from Premiere Elements (any version) Windows cannot be used in Premiere Elements (any version) Mac.
Video files exported from Premiere Elements 2 with its QuickTime choice (.mov files) would be likely to open in Premiere Elements 13 Mac. The other Premiere Elements
2 choices of MPEG and Windows Media would be expected to need conversion to .mov or .mp4 before import into Premiere Elements 13.
In Premiere Elements 13 Mac, consider importing the files from wherever you save files in Mac to a project with the project's Expert workspace Add Media/Files and Folders/Project Assets. I would strongly encourage you to set the project preset manually (File Menu/New/Project) to match the properties of these source files before import rather than let the project do it manually for you based on the properties of the first video dragged to the Timeline.
Please supply more details so that we can fine tune the reply. Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
