Hi I have recently cracked my iPhone 5 screen and I was wondering if I would get it replaced free at my nearest apple store or will I have to pay?

You cannot get the screen replaced for free...that is an out of warranty accidental damage issue. The iPhone 4s will be replaced with another for $199 at an Apple store genius bar. Be sure to make a backup of your content, best done in iCloud so the Apple genius can restore your content to the replacement iPhone.

I dropped my ipod touch the 4th generation and broke the screen. i have not had it for a year yet. My ipod still works and it is only the screen that is broken. I was wondering if i could get it repaired for free and if not then how much would it cost?

Will I get a replacement for dust under the screen?...

Hey everyone!
I've had an iPhone since the 3G came out and I've never had any problems with dust. My 3G got replaced by 02 insurance about 5 months ago and I got a new 3GS 16GB. Since then I noticed the odd little bit of dust appearing under the screen. Most of the time I couldn't see it so I didn't really care but now I've noticed a few larger pieces and they're really annoying.
I understand that I should get a 12 month warranty with this and surely it's not meant to happen so I'd expect a replacement. I've searched around and I seem to get mixed answers. The problem is that I'm currently working in Cologne and there are only 3 Apple Stores in Germany (I can't believe it!) and the nearest one is still over 100 miles away.
What do you recommend? Would Apple do anything like post one (I doubt it?) or am I going to just have to wait until I'm near Frankfurt (or even back in London) and book an appointment there. Even then... what are my chances of getting a replacement?

I doubt they will give you a replacement. I know here in the States you can take your iphone to an Apple store and they can replace the screen and charge you $200 for that. But I find it hard to believe they would replace the screen for free just because there are dust particles under the glass. That's just my opinion.

The rest of my phone is still perfectly operational. I can sync it to my Mac, I can still see my phone screen, meaning I can still see texts and calls coming through, the power button works, I can see my apps and my background, and the circle button at the bottom still works. It's just the touchscreen that isn't working. I can't slide across to answer calls or slide across to turn the phone off. I was taken through some diagnostics over the telephone with an Apple advisor, who asked me to restore the software, back my phone up, etc, which I have done. He couldn't rectify the problem so advised me to take it in. I am booked in this evening to see an Apple advisor in store. I don't know of anything that I have done for this to happen! It was in my pocket on holiday in Portugal and was ok one minute, I took it out of my pocket and the vertical lines were on my phone and the touchscreen had stopped working! I hope I can get it replaced.

If the apps were available for no charge, you could find them at the App Store on the iPhone you just bought.
But the way you're describing your purchase, I think it is very unlikely they would be free. Check and see.

No one can predict what Apple will say when they see your cord. Just bring it in. If found defective it will be replaced on the spot.

Not actually a Hardware question but they're isn't a more relivant sub-section.
My iPhone 5 seems to keep turning it self off (does not reboot and turn on afterwards) freezing, crashing and generally being laggy. I've tried restoring etc, etc.
I've booked an appointment at the Apple Store tomorrow in hope of getting it replaced, hopefully for free? It's out of warrenty as I got it on day of release but seeing as it's not accidental damage etc and a software issue should I expect to get it replaced for free?

If you have AppleCare+ you can get an out-of-warranty replacement for $69 or 79...if you have regular AppleCare the replacement will be $149 for an iPhone 4.

that can happen with itunes mode sometimes first thing i want you to do is plug in your phone to your pc/mac
then power it off completely if holding the power button dose not help hold the power button and the home button at the same time it shud power of completly it is verry important that its of and plug in to pc/mac next step
press the power button for 3 secons then while holding the power button press the home button and hold the 2 for 10 secons ifso far you have done corectly the screen will go white and power of after this happens let go of the power button but keep holding the home button for 15 secons your phones screen should stay blank and if done corectly itunes will recogniz the phone the your phone is in dfu mode after your phone is recognized in your pc/mac dont press anf buttons on your phone you should be able to do a restore while in dfu mode if this comes up with erorr -1 you need to retry the prosess 2 more times until sucsesfully if you get any other errors please tell me what thay are so i can see if its software or a hardware fault please also send me the modle number this can be found on the back of your phone

That is not a 90 day guaranrtee. It is a 90 warranty which only covers workmenship and materials not damage. So no. You are going to have to pay to get it replaced.
