If i deauthorize a PC can i reauthorize it after i do a complete restore?

I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium, and for some reason after adding 18.03 gigs of software it is telling me that I only have 40.43 Gb of Hard drive space left out of 250. So i am going to nuke it from orbit, ala do a complete wipe of the HD. My question is My wifes computer is uses 1 authorization, our both our old PC's that up and died each used 1, and now the my new Computer uses 1, meaning we have used 4 of the five authorizations. If i deauthorize this PC can i reauthorize it after i do a complete restore thus saving that precious last authorization in case of an emergency? Or if i create a new i tunes account can i play the songs currently on my ipod and those purchased with the old account?

If i deauthorize this PC can i reauthorize it after i do a complete restore thus saving that precious last authorization in case of an emergency?
Yes.
Note that if and when you reach the maximum of five authorizations, you can (once per year) deauthorize all the systems. There will be at that time a button in your iTunes Store account information for performing that deauthorization. You could then authorize those systems you're using.
if i create a new i tunes account can i play the songs currently on my ipod and those purchased with the old account?
If you mean a new iTunes Store account, that account authorization would only be valid for content purchase through that account. It will have no effect on authorizations from your current iTunes Store account.

  • HT1420 If I deauthorize all computers, can I reauthorize some of them again?

I have 5 authorized computers--itunes won't let me see what computers are authorized--I know at least one of them I no longer have--the only option is to deauthorize all--wondering if I can re-authorize ones that I deauthorize.

    Yes, you can re-authorize computers you've de-authorized.

See iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization for Macs.
See How to Authorize or Deauthorize iTunes | PCWorld for Windows.
In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

  • Can't make a partition, even though I completely restored the hard drive.

Hello. I think it'd be best I explain it in full detail to get the most accurate answer. It's a bit long, so please bear with me.
I have a Macbook Pro, late-2009 edition and OS X Lion. (Version 10.7.2)
I want to partition my drive in order to have Windows 7 in my computer. My friend, who was helping me, said that I couldn't immediately make a partition because according to what he checked in my computer, I had made a partition before and it was still there.
Now the backup [haha, pun] of the latter is that my other friend, earlier in the year, had put a Windows virutal machine in my computer and made a small partition of it. I didn't want it anymore, however, and deleted it from my computer. I did, however, follow my friend's steps to appropriately delete the virtual machine and the partition beforehand, but it doesn't seem to be the case...
Anyway, back to the present. My friend thought it would be best to pretty much restore and reinstall my OS Lion. After Lion was reinstalled, I restored all of my files through a Time Machine backup I did the day before.
When he went to go to Boot Camp and make the partition, it had the following window pop up:
However, when we checked disk utility about the format, this is what it says:
You can see that the format is indeed Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
I'm led to believe that the previous partition is still in my hard disk (Although it shouldn't be) and it's causing problems. But honestly, I'm at a loss on what to do right now.
If anybody could give me some kind of answer, that would be lovely. Thank you.

when you installed or upgraded to Lion it should have created Recovery partition.
In some cases just shrink your "Mac HD" repair and then stretch back out.
Boot into Recovery Mode and check the drive and perform the above.

  • HT1420 Once I deauthorize this computer, can I reauthorize it later?

Our family has a lot of computers and 5 of them ended up using my iTunes account (kids of ours). The problem is that MY computer recently died and my geek son-in law put my harddrive into my husbands case or something like that. Anyway, long story short, when I recently asked my daughter to add something to my iPad, she clicked on some window that did something and almost everything that was on my iPad is now gone. SO, after having a very lengthy hissy fit, I went to my computer and hooked up my iPad to it and it says that I have 5 computers (or I guess devices) using my account and that I had to deauthorize 1 to authorize the one I am using now after mine crashed. So my problem is this....all I see in iTunes is a button that says "deauthorize all" and I'm afraid if I do that I'll either a)Lose everything I have ever bought or put on my iPad, or b)Not be able to REauthorize THIS computer and have it show all my normal stuff in my libraries and such. Can someone tell me whether deauthorizing all can be undone or if it will wipe out everything I have put on my iPad over the years? I am SO confused.

If you 'deauthorise all' (which you can only do once every 12 months) then no content is removed from any of those computers, it just means that you won't be able to use your iTunes content on those computers until you reauthorise them - you should be able to immediately reauthorise those computers (up to 5) that you still have and need.
If not all of your iPad's iTunes purchases are on that computer, then you should be able to re-download some/all of it from the store so that it is on the computer before you connect the iPad to it (re-downloading). You should also be able to copy purchases off the iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. If you have any important notes/documents on the iPad then you want to copy them off the iPad (e.g. email, via wifi, whatever the apps that you have the content in supports) before connecting to that computer for the first time.

  • I've been told I should deauthorize all my devices and reauthorize them. Can you deauthorize an iPhone from the iTunes App?

I've been told I should deauthorize all my devices and reauthorize them. Can you deauthorize an iPhone from the iTunes App?

I read an answer on another issue that said you don't deauthorize iPhones from the phone, and to deauthorize everything from the iTunes store. But when I go to the iTunes store, it tells me my computer is not authorized, (I just had this computer repaired & the iTunes store doesn't recognize it, and it says we already have 5 devices authorized). Is there a place to deauthorize everything at once, so I can add devices back individually?

Yes.  Yu have to just ensure that the iPod is signed into the iTunes account(s) that purchased the apps and other stuff and you have iTunes et up to sync the stuff to the iPod.  You will loose however, any app data you have.
BTW, you can always redownload app at no addition cost.  See:

I have had two previous work MacBooks that died and both were authorized, however, now I can't reauthorize my new laptop because I have reached my limit of 5 systems authorized when technically, I only have 3 authorized.  Any suggestions?

Deauthorize all, then authorize the active computers.

  • Can not refresh page after save properly(When not saving master record)

    I am using jdeveloper 11g R2 (11.1.2.3) JSF Facelet
In some use case I have Address as master table and Person as detail table
For some business reason I need to don't save same addresses
    eg:
If +1 Test St+ is in database already and new user coming and adding this address with new person
I need to use the row in database not creating a new address
I do saving in doDML method of Address with some hashing algorithm and it is fine
My problem is that I can not refresh page after save properly
User coming to page think Adding a new address and a new person but in fact no new
address added because of business I describe above
Any ideas how I can implement this?
    Appreciate that
    Regards
    Mohsen

    Hi,
from your description it is not clear why the page doesn't refresh. It could be a problem in your implementation code - who knows. What if you perform the address check on a command button that actually submits the new address? If the check returns true (address exists) you would call row.refresh(forget new row); and re-query the view object so the address coming from the database is displayed. If you wanted to use the doDML then yuou need to be aware that doDML doesn't help removing the row the user created. It just ignores the database update but the entity is still around, which in my suggested solution wont be the case.

Ask google and try anyway but not work
    - Press ThinkVantage, Press F1, Press Fn+F1
    - Power off, unplug AC, unplug battery, wait 15 miniute, try all again
    - Try to update BIOS again

    That is really weird.
When you are in Windows, can you test and see if the F1 key is working? If it is working. Shut down the laptop then boot it back up. At the Thinkpad screen, keep spamming the F1 key and see if you are able to boot into BIOS.
