If I deauthorize all 5 computers on my itunes account can I re-authorize one?

Yes. For future iTunes questions it's probably best to post them in the iTunes forum.

If you don't have access to the computers to manually deauthorize them (they were sold, stolen, etc), then you have to log into your account, deauthorize all computers, and then re-authorize the machine(s) that you want to have access. This page explains how.

Home sharing problem: I have never set up home sharing but I feel I the concept and how it works.  I recently (last 2 months or so) deauthorized, first time ever, all computers with my iTunes account. I have 3 computers authorized.  I am trying to set up home sharing but get  iTunes says:

Home Sharing is designed to work on your local network not across the internet/cloud.
Stuff is accessed under the Computers column where your local iTunes library on a local computer would appear.
Home Sharing would share your iTunes content (i.e. stuff stored in itunes on the computer, not in the cloud) with AppleTV or an iPad etc on the SAME network.
AppleTV2 will not be able to see itunes content on the work computer over the internet.  It's not designed to.  if the work computer was on the home network it would.
iCloud is in it's infancy and is not a mature product - iTunes TV Show purchases appear on AppleTV, but currently music does not unless you are subscribed to iTunes Match. I find this rather odd to be honest, along with the inability to buy music on AppleTV2.  Movies purchased in iTunes are not authorised for iCloud viewing currently either.
Maybe it has something to do with iTunes Match 'getting in the way' - i think they assume you'll use that whereas you really want to be able to access Purchased music from the cloud without subscribing to itunes Match which is overkill for some.

  • There is no "Deauthorize all computers" from the iTunes store drop down menu (12.0.1.26 latest version)

Just purchased a new iMac and somehow all of my licenses are consumed between existing/old computers and I am not allowed to synch my iTunes library using Match.  Looking at the on-line help provides guidance to choose a "deauthorize all computers" option from the Store drop down in iTunes but I only have these options:
Obviously, I need to figure out how to do this and then reauthorize from each of my 5 machines.  Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

  • ITunes accounts can be accessed under one User but not a second User.

    Hi
I'm having problems setting up iTunes on a new PC I've recently purchased. On my old PC - (Vista), myself (David) and my wife (Chris) had different Windows Users accounts, both with separate iTunes accounts which we could access with no problems.
On my new Pc (Windows 7) I have downloaded iTunes and can access my iTunes account with my ID and password when the PC is logged in as 'David' as the User, as can my wife BUT when the PC the PC is logged in as my wife as the  User 'Chris' neither of us can access our iTunes account with our relative ID and passwords. We get the message.. "The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.".
I have seen this sentence on Google and on various forums including this one but cannot find a solution which fits my problem which is our iTunes accounts can be accessed when the PC is logged in under one User but not a second User.
Has anyone have ideas to attempt to resolve this issue?
    Thank you

  • I would like to deauthorize old computers from my iTunes account, but not my current Mac -

I noticed in my iTunes account I have 4 computers authorized.   This list must include old computers which I no longer use (we currently only have one computer using my iTunes account).  The only option is to "deauthorize all", which makes me nervous as it implies it will also deauthorize my current computer, which I obviously don't want to do.  I would like to "clean it up", and remove old computers no longer assoicated with my iTunes, but am a little paranoid about doing it.
Just looking for some advice, before I start clicking buttons I don't know much about, lol!

You need to use the Deauthorize All function; if this deauthorizes your current computer, you can authorize it immediately afterwards.

  • Following the most recent IOS IPhone update our Iphone calendars, contacts and messages have all merged. This problem has never happened before. We all use the same Itunes account as a family and one AppleID. Does anyone know the cause of this problem?

We have 4 Iphones. As a family we have happily shared the same ITunes account and one AppleID. After the most recent iPhone IOS update all our contacts and calendars have merged and we randomly receive some messages that one of us has sent to another contact.
    This is causing chaos.
    Can anyone help me with:
    1. Has anyone experienced a similar problem recently?
    2. The records to the individual phones have not been saved been saved separately. After this merging of all the data into one composite record, is there anyway to reverse the change and restore the phones to just their individual records?
    3. I guess that the cause may be the common AppleID. I have tried to create my own AppleID but my personal email address is already linked to the existing AppleID so I am blocked from setting up a separate AppleID in my own name. Does anyone know how I can get around this block?
    4. Would it be better to create a separate Apple ICloud address for each of us as well? How do I do this?
    Many thanks in anticipation,
    Peter

This is exactly what happens when sharing a single Apple ID for iCloud and iMessage.  Why would you expect any different?

  • I have 2 itunes accounts. can I merge to one?

I have 2 iTunes accounts. How can I merge them?

If you mean iTunes libraries, import the content and playlists from the smaller one into the larger.
If you mean Apple IDs, you can’t.

  • Is there a way to deauthorize all computers without waiting a year?

We have been doing some re-arranging of computers, and I forgot to deauthorize all my computers before wiping harddrives and cleaning things up.  I didn't realize it, but I had used the deauthorize all function in the store to clean up my itunes account in the middle of last year.  I need to do it again, but it appears I am unable to do so for at least another 6 months.  Since I have quite a bit of music locked up in iTunes (I will never buy DRM'd music again because of this), I need to find a way to deauthorize all computers once more so I can listen to my songs and watch my movies I have purchased.  Is there a way to do this inside the 1 year period you're supposed to wait?

  • Authroizing computers with my iTunes account.

Hey guys, I have a question.
After initially creating my iTunes account on my computer I had to reformat. Then I had a new mother-board installed and had to reauthorize my own computer to use my iTunes account. I authorized my home computer to use my iTunes account, so if you do the calculation that is four authorizations. I'm planning on reformatting my computer again in a few weeks, but if I do, I'll have to reauthorize my personal computer for a fourth time. That will use up all my available authorizations. Is there anyway to get three of my authorizations back, since they were used on the same machine?
    Thanks,
    Brian

If you no longer have, or access to, the computer(s) you want to deauthorise,
Log in to iTunes,  go to "view your account info" on the itunes store, deauthorise all five,
(Please Note: this can only be done Once every 12 months)
Then re-authorize your current Computer(s) one at a time..

  • How to "deauthorize all computers" in iTunes?

A computer has died I am attempting to deauthorize all computers in iTunes in order to remove it from the authorized computer list.  However, none of the other "authorized" computers display the "Deauthorize All Computers" option on the "Store" menu in iTunes.  I am running ITunes 12.0.1.26.  Why is the "Deauthorize All Computers" not being displayed and how do I deauthorize the dead computer without it?

launch iTunes and sign in then go to your accounts settings.

  • Itunes Deauthorize All Computers

I have authorised 5 computers with my account, but now I do not access to few of them(computers), I already had used Deauthorize all Computers and now I need to add my new Macbook Pro which I have recently bought. I have an active iTunes Match subscription. Help!!

I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you saying that you have 5 computers authorized to your Apple ID and you want to add another, but you have already use Deauthorize all Computers within the past year? Is that correct? If so, you'll need to contact iTunes Store support directly and ask them to deauthorize all your computers.
