If I deauthorize my stolen ipad, does that mean whoever stole it won"t be able to use the aps, music etc I purchased from Itunes?
If I deauthorize my stolen ipad, does this mean that whoever stole it won't be able to sue the aps, books, music etc that I purchased from Itunes?
You can't deauthorize an iPad. You deauthorize computers. Deauthorizing your computer will do nothing for the iPad. See the following:
What To Do If Your iDevice Is Lost Or Stolen
If you activated Find My Phone before it was lost or stolen, you can track it only if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. What you cannot do is track your device using a serial number or other identifying number. You cannot expect Apple or anyone else to find your device for you. You cannot recover your loss unless you insure your device for such loss. It is not covered by your warranty.
If your iPhone, iPod, iPod Touch, or iPad is lost or stolen what do you do? There are things you should have done in advance - before you lost it or it was stolen - and some things to do after the fact. Here are some suggestions:
This link, Re: Help! I misplaced / lost my iPhone 5 today morning in delta Chelsea hotel downtown an I am not able to track it. Please help!, has some good advice regarding your options when your iDevice is lost or stolen.

find my ipod on icloud says my ipod is offline, does that mean whoever stole/found it did not restore it yet?
Officially your iPod is "offline". If someone restore it and put another apple id, it's going to be "offline" for ever in "find my iPod". Is someone turns on the iPod with out restoring, you will see where your iPod is. I sold and iPod touch two weeks ago and still appear in "find my iPod". I erased from the app finally.

I just got a new macbook pro. How do I get the 900+ songs that I took off of cds into iTunes on my computer from my iPhone. I had no problems syncing the music I had purchased from iTunes. I have tried to sync it using iTunes match, this did not work. I would like to have access to my full library without going into the user profile of my old computer, which is on my new computers hard drive. I would like to eventually delete the old profile so that I have more space on my hard drive.

I synced a movie from my laptop 2 my iPad but lost some music video I purchased from iTunes store. How can I get them back ? Thxs
Sorry, but movies cannot be downloaded more than once without charge, so if you don't have a viable backup, you may be out of luck. You can, however, contact the iTunes Store, explain the situation, and see if they can make an exception for you.

If pictures are on my iPad does that mean they are in my cloud account as well?
I would really like to update my iPad but I do not have enough space currently. Since I have a cloud account does that mean that my images are automatically there? Or are there any suggestions as to what one can do to free up space? I have already removed my Kindle App and just use my Paper White now...and removed all unused Apps.
Thanks,iCloud is not meant as permanent storage of your photos. You are better of transfering them to a computer or some other cloud storage like Dropbox.

So does that mean Apple has simply abandoned a proprietary paid for iOS app? How will this affect iPhoto from Mavericks to Yosemite? anyone with Yosemite Beta in the loop?
Thanks from Zurich,
DanSo does that mean Apple has simply abandoned a proprietary paid for iOS app?
That has happened before - remember iWeb?
But this time Apple has provided a migration to the successor app, Photos.
For iPhoto and Aperture on the Mac is not much known (Aperture is Dead. Long Live Photos! | ApertureExpert), only, that there will be a "Photos" for MacOS X.
anyone with Yosemite Beta in the loop?
Beta testers are bound by a non-disclosure agreement, and beta-issues must to be discussed in the public forums, or we will be in trouble. Neither are we allowed to speculate, sorry. -
I have ipad 3 & daughter new ipad mini with RD. She has nano and I have classic. Her nano syncs to her own laptop and mine to my desktop. I bought iTunes Match and authorised both iPads and both iPods. I have now enabled iTunes Match in my ipad and was warned it would replace my library. I pressed "enable" and now the 1800 songs in my library are gone and all I've got is the music my daughter bought from iTunes. What have I done wrong and how can I get my songs back. When I bought iTunes Match I got 1 e-mail confirming subscription and another providing receipt but nothing else no links etc. any assistance would be appreciated.
ArccctwcYou can only upload music from your computer's iTunes, you can't do it from an iOS device - when you subscribe to iTunes Match on your computer it should have scanned your music library on it and matched or uploaded any non-iTunes purchased music to it.
Do you have copies of those tracks anywhere e.g. on an iOS device or on your backup of your downloads/library ? If they are iTunes purchases then they should be in the cloud. If they were copied from CDs or bought from other sources then if they are only on an iOS device (i.e. you don't have them on a backup) then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

I occasionally have the need to export photos from the iPad to an SD card (photos that were imported using the camera kit). This is useful for e.g. to print photos while travelling. So far I have not found this functionality anywhere, including in any apps available on iTunes. Can anyone help?
The camera connection kit can only be used to import photo/video files from a camera, SD card or USB flash drive. You can't import other types of files. You can't export any type of files using the camera connection kit.

Purchased music from I-tunes will no longer play when I hit play. The message "music file cannot be located" pops up and then takes me to some other file system. Does anybody know what to do? I have already tried to make sure that my Itunes player is default and that is not the problem.
Help! You get this message because iTunes can’t find the file. This can happen for a number of reasons:
The song file or a folder in its path was renamed
The song file or the folder it is in has been moved
The song file has been deleted
The device containing the song files e.g. external drive is not accessible or the drive letter has changed.
Do any of these aply to you? -
My iPad keeps telling me I need to manage my storage BUT I don't know how to. I have managed to use back up onto the iCloud, but it still tells me I have to manage my storage. How do I do this. Someone mentioned that because I have 3 films already downloaded onto the iPad I have used a lot of storage. They have also said if I delete the films already purchasediTunes remembers these and when I want to watch them at a furture date I will be able to!
As you have probably already gathered I am not a very competant user and I would welcome some advice PLEASEiCloud doesn't backup the actual films, it backs up your purchase history:
iCloud: iCloud storage and backup overview
You can only re download items if they are still available in the App Store.
Books can be downloaded again (it is audiobooks which are a once-only download).
Your best bet is to transfer all purchases to iTunes on your computer, before deleting items from iPad. -
My wife an I each have iphones and ipods, however, my children have some non apple mp3 players. I've purchased some tv shows via the itunes store that are in the .m4v video format. The kids mp3 players only supports AMV video files. Is there a way to easily convert the videos I purchased into the AMV video format so that I can load them onto the kids mp3 players?
You can do this in iMovie 11.
Drag your DV clip or clips into a new iMovie project.
Then use the Share menu:
SHARE/EXPORT USING QUICKTIME
In the dialog box choose Export: Sound to AIFF
You could do the same thing in MPEG Streamclip or Garageband, but using iMovie is the easiest. -
I recently bought a new iPad Mini Retina and got the iWork apps for free and I was wondering if that meant that I can now get them on my iMac for free. They still say that the price is 19.99, but I don't want to hit buy if it's going to charge me.
They are different versions for different operating systems, and will need to be purchased separately.

Hi,
Can someone tell me what does the 3 continous beeps mean when trying to startup the Macbook? It won't startup, it just beeps and blinks 3 times continously.Yes, I agree with Kappy, here's a problem with your RAM. It happened to a friend's MacBook after he spilt wine on it. Fortunately the splillage on reached the RAM!

How could we play all music videos within the music folder in the iPad2 ? In other words, select all, choose random, and click play and all music videos will automatically play upon completion of the one been viewed without the user having to deselect another video manually (annoying interrupt).
Currently you have to choose each music video and upon completion choose the next one manually. That defeats the whole concept of a music video library.
This does not happen on previous iPad or MacBook Pro iTunes!!!!!
Very annoying.
Thanks,
