My old iPhone 4s does not have data capability now that I have the new iPhone 6 plus. However, I still use the old phone for games and other apps. I also have some important information on the old and new phone since I downloaded all the information to the new phone. I want to delete some OLD NOTES on the old iPhone 4s so a friend can use it. If I do that will it also delete the notes from my new iPhone 6 plus SINCE THEY ARE ON THE SAME WIFI AND CLOUD connection? How can I safely delete SOME of the information on the OLD PHONE without deleting everything, as in when the entire phone is deleted, and still keep the information on the new phone?

But could the user of the phone just turn on iCloud themselves and get the private notes I wanted to keep from them? Is there a way to permanently delete them from the old phone without deleting from the new phone?

Deleting the backup only permanently deletes the backup from iCloud. It doesn't do anything to the data currently in your account or on your devices. To delete it, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of the device that you want to delete the backup for, then tap Delete Backup.
You can't see anything in an iCloud backup, if that's want you're asking. You can only restore it to your device. You can, of course, see your other iCloud data.

All you have to do is this: Sync your 3GS to create a current backup. Then either: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings or restore it as a "New" device in iTunes. Both accomplish the same thing, erasing all of your data & settings from the phone. You can now give it to your sister, she can plug it into her computer, name it what she wants & sync her content to it. You then restore your 4S from the backup of the 3GS you created when you started. Follow this by syncing your content to your new phone & your 4S will look just like your 3GS.

It's easy to rename each unit. When you connect your iPad and it syncs, the unit will appear on the left of the iTUnes screens just click on the unit there and you can rename it. You should do this immediately so you can see which unit was backed up by it's name. You can sync as many decices as you want in one iTunes library and you can even share Apps as long as you're going to sync both from teh same iTunes account. My household has 2 iPad 2s and we share our apps, and we also share downloaded books, magazines, music, etc.......

I had an Apple ID that was linked to an old email address that was hacked into. Now that Apple requires a login by using an email address, I had to change the email address/Apple ID on my pc. My iPhone 4 will not allow me to change the Apple ID to the new ID which ultimately leaves me unable to connect to the cloud as well. On my iPhone, it gives me the option to delete the account with the old Apple ID, but I am afraid that it may delete all the purchased music as well. Does anyone know if it will delete my purchased music. Verizon said this is an Apple problem and not a Verizon issue.

Yes, pictures in Photo Stream will deleted. Only on photo stream not on iCloud and Camera Roll. You can login again if you want.

You should be importing your pics to your computer as you would a digital camera iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer that way you won't lose any pictures in your camera roll.

Have you tried a soft-reset to see if one or both of them disappears when the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I just upgraded from a 4S to 5, and synced my phone to get all my music, apps, etc. Everything worked perfectly, except for a few of my apps duplicated. Like, one copy of the app successfully installed, and the other is stuck greyed out with "Installing" under it. How to fix this problem?

To delete duplicates, press and hold the app icon down until they all jiggle then tap the circle with an x then tap Delete. Do that for all duplicates.

You need to check if a back up was made of your new phone when the content that has now gone missing was on their.
Also if you used iCloud you could check if there was a back up made on there and it should have pictures from camera roll if they were on there when the back up was made. Also you could check photostream if you used it and see if the photos are on there aswel.
