If I delete my backup date from iCloud from my 4s will I still have all my data on my phone so I can do an up to date back up?
Hi I've purchased a 5s and just tried putting my backed up data on it, but since it's an ok old back up it had some problems.
Is there anyway that I can delete the data from iCloud with out it loosing data on my current phone so I can do an up to date back up to put on my 5s?
You don't need to delete the backup, just backup your new phone to icloud.

If I upgrade from Firefox 3.6 to firefox 4 Beta on my iMac, will I still have all the same bookmarks, or will I lose them?
You are using Mac OS 10.4. Firefox 4.0 is not compatible with this OS. It supports only Mac OS 10.5 and above. Please see this article: [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/system-requirements.html Firefox 4 system requirements].

i accidently deleted itunes on my pc!!! i still have all my music and photos on my ipod nano 6th gen,,,is it possible to transfer content from my nano back onto my pc???
No, unless the songs were purchased from iTunes. In that case, you Transfer Purchases to computer iTunes.
Otherwise, what you need is a 3rd party tool:

I keep my itunes on two external harddrives. And I sync one or the other to my computer when changing up my playlists on my iPod. Well I usually download my music to my computer and then move it over to the harddrives and then I erase the music from my computer's harddrive, but only the music! Well on accident I erased the whole itunes folder from my computer. I still have all the music on the external harddrives but the library registry on the computer has been emptied! Plus my computer will not recognise my iPod anymore. So I need to sync my iPod with my computer and I need to fill up the registry or what ever it is called in my iTunes library on my computer so that I can change around my app and music selection on my iPod. Can anyone help me. Please!

I forgot my password on osx mavericks, and people say you can do command r and type reset password to find and change passwords. I was wondering if this is "safe". Will I still have all my data?
Just to double check, to do this:
1. Shut down your computer
2. Turn on your computer
3. After hearing the chim hold down the command and r keys
4. Select recovery HD
5. Select the down arrow
6. Go to utilities terminal
7. Select my admin account
8. type resetpassword
9. reset the password
10. shut down the computer
11. After bootup you can log in with no data lost and a new password
Is this correct? If not, please correct my wrong steps. -
If I delete music from my iPhone will it still be saved in iCloud and can I access it again at a later date?
Yes. You can re-download purchased iTunes content for free, except for purchased ringtones, which are a one time download.

So here's my problem. I just used the "reset all settings" option, and accidentaly restored an old backup. It deleted all my photos and contacts, but for some reason I still have all the apps from after the backup date, and it also kept the notes from after the backup. The "reset all settings" option clearly says no loss of data or media, so I don't understand why some stuff got deleted. My question is, is there a way to get it back?
If you still can find a recent backup listed in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices, use this one to restore from.
If there are no recent backups listed, your data is gone. Only if you included the iTunes backup folder into your computer backup routine, you could be able to restore this folder and find one of your latest backups listed again.

My nephew set up his own iCloud account on my phone, and I want to delete his iCloud account, without losing all my data, including, my apps, contacts, calendar events, music. If I delete his account, will I still have everything saved from before deleting his account?? I don't want to lose a single thing...I'm afraid to delete his iCloud account, and risk losing EVERYTHING I have on my phone. Is there another way to save everything without the risk of losing everything from deleting his iCloud account?
Deleting the iCloud account from your phone only deletes the account and any data you are syncing with the account (that is, any data that is set to On in Settings>iCloud). However, when you delete the account you are prompted about what to do with the iCloud data. If you want to keep it on your phone, be sure to choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Also, be sure to save any photo stream photos that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else before deleting the account. To do this, open the photo stream album, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
Deleting the account will not touch any other data on your phone (music, apps, etc.). -
HT4847 How can I delete old backups on my iCloud so that I can just backup my latest things?
How can i delete old backups on my iCloud so that I can jsut backup what is on my device now, and not from a year ago
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
All backups made on iCloud overwrite the old one, so you have only the latest backup with your most recent files. If you have a backup of an old device, open Settings > iCloud > Storage and Backup > Manage Storage, select the backup and delete that backup -

And I'm stuck at the first hurdle......
ThanksThe problem I have is that i dont have an option to delete backups of this file on the options menu, and when I click delit or try to drag it to the trash I get a box saying " This operation can't be completed because backup items can't be modified"
Iam really tempted to just delete mackeeper from HD library and Applications but it is stressed that I need to do the TM deletes first?

When using Time Machine, if I delete items from my computer, will they still be backed up to access later on my external hard drive?
In other words, when time machine backs up again, will it delete the files from the back up that I have deleted from my computer? No, I do not believe so. Time Machine would keep all those now-deleted files in previous backups, and as time goes by those backups might be deleted if you needed room, but it would still keep one backup from each day in last month, as well as one from each week forever, as long as you don't start running out of room, then just the oldest would be deleted to make room if needed.
I use a backup drive about double the size of my drive to be backed up, so I would guess it will never get to the point where deleted files being replaced by new ones being backed fill up that drive to the point where backups actually have to get deleted. -
I'm really afraid of tring to do this since i spent $20 dollars on game updates. So if I backup my ipod then reset it then send the backup back, will I still have the appdata? (By refering to this I don't mean the app itself, but the stuff inside the app) Thank you and I hope I get a quick answer.
If you restore from backup your app date will also be restored to the time you made the backup. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup. If the apps are not in the iTunes library there is not place for the app data to go when you restore from backup.

Backing up to a thumb drive - time machine doesn't delete older backups when it's full. I will have to erase and re-do the drive. Why?
You are both right.
Time Machine can backup FROM:
It cannot back up a USB thumb drive.
Time Machine can backup TO:
•A USB thumb drive (but most aren't large enough, and are very, very slow)
