If I delete my iCloud account from my iPhone will it also delete the account online along with the data backed up?
I just created a new id because I've been using my father's account all this time. Recently I've just updated to the new iOS and I still have doubts whether to change the icloud account or not. I'm worried all of my dad's back ups, contacts and other data be deleted.
If it doesn't get deleted, can I still use the account in the future?
(Currently using iPhone 4 with the iOS 7.0.3 update)

Nope. Just the account & data on your phone.

Yep, but Apple reserves the right to delete the data if the account is dormat for an extended period of time.

You would have to delete the existing iCloud account and create a wholly new one - you cannot change the @icloud.com email address of the one you already have. To make a new one, you will also need an new AppleID as any AppleID can only have one iCloud account associated with it.
Deleting the account will not delete anything off your device (if prompted for things like contacts, choose to keep them). You will have to sync everything anew with the new account as you cannot move your sync'd content, your old backups or anything else from one iCloud account to another. You will have to set up sync again and let it sync to the new account, and then make new backups to the new account as well. -

Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address (you shouldn't need to verify the old account). You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

My mother and brother made the mistake to connect both their iPhones to the same Apple-id, so a problem came up: All iMessages sent and received from one iPhone are also seen and saved on the other iPhone. I would also like to know the same thing, but according to a post i have about my stolen iphone the responder said you can't delete an icloud account and it will always be in the icloud. below is the answer I recieved about still being able to sign into my icloud account after my phone has been stolen three months later(cause I was led to believe your credentials leave your phone after it is wiped by a thief, therefore one would think you couldn't sign in anymore and still try to track your phone although says constantly offline) but gathering from what this person has said to me it sounds like your just deleting it from the device. Your iCoud account remains in iCloud even if your device is restored. (In fact, you can't delete an iCloud account from iCloud, you can only choose to stop using it.) If the device is restored, or it may no longer be signed into your iCloud account but your account will still exist in iCloud. -

You should be importing your pics to your computer as you would a digital camera iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer that way you won't lose any pictures in your camera roll. -

Can't delete old iCloud account from my iPhone 5
I have just got a new iPhone 5 to replace one that was stolen recently, and wanted to restore it from my last iCloud backup. However, since the last iCloud backup I have changed the email address in my Apple ID. This seems to mean that the App Store, iMessage, FaceTime etc all work using the correct gmail Apple ID, however the iCloud account on my phone is my old Hotmail Apple ID. I can't delete the account or accept new terms and conditions without entering my password to my old Apple ID, which I don't know. When I've tried to login elsewhere with my old Apple ID (eg. online) it says it doesn't exist. Help!
After further investigation, I think this is somehow linked to being unable to turn off the Find My iPhone feature on my phone. When I try to delete my iCloud account, it needs the password to my old Apple ID which is no longer active...

Deleting my iCloud account from my iPhone has wiped out all my contacts.
Is this supposed to happen? I was led to believe that the cloud was a separate place for storing duplicated info if your device ever got lost/damaged and not THE ONE AND ONLY place where stuff gets stored. I was getting fed up of deleting unwanted and duplicated contacts over and over again so I thought closing my iCloud account would stop unwanted contacts appearing again. Now Im too afraid of updating my iPad for fear of my contacts disappearing from there too.
iCloud contacts are stored in iCloud. If you sign out of iCloud (remove the account from your phone) you are asked if you want to keep or delete your contacts from your phone. Which option did you choose?
Deleting the iCloud account does not delete your contacts from iCloud. If you sign back into iCloud all contacts stored there will reappear on your phone.
iCloud is not a separate place for storing duplicated info. It is the master place your contacts and calendars etc are stored and each of your devices/computers uses that master data. -

Did you try going to Settings>iCloud, scrolling to the bottom and tapping Delete Account (and if you want to keep the synced data be sure to choose Keep on iPhone when prompted)?

So i got a new 5c and im trying to back it up from icloud but it tells me to enter a password and i have changed the email for my itunes account and the email on the icloud is wrong so i tried to enter my password but it didnt work. so i need to know if i can change the username for icloud or delete it and put in my current itunes account without having to enter my password for my old account. Sorry, it is pretty complicated...
If you can't reset password - contact Apple, may be they can help you if it is your account.

You will need the password. If you can't get it reset via http://iforgot.apple.com (if you remember the answers to the account's security questions then you should be able to reset it via them) then try contacting Support in your country, they should be able to reset it.
