I have an iPod mini that still works great. I got an iPod touch???? (Is that the tiny square one with color display?) as a gift and I can't seem to use both of these with my computer. Now my PC, yes, I know, has two versions of iTunes installed with different songs in each and I don't know how to get it back to one with all the music in it and figure out how to use both of these devices. I'm going crazy. No, I was not already crazy, I'm going there. Thanks for any assistance. Oh, my PC is Vista, my mini is currently dead so I can't tell you the op sys, and my touch is missing in action. Too darn small.

You can create an Apple ID without using a credit card, allowing your to download free apps. To do this you must follow this guide exactly: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534. In particular, you have to start by downloading a free app first, then set up your ID.

Your profile indicates you are using Lion v 10.7.2 this IS a 64 bit OS and your machine is running in 64 bit mode. However you probably have a number of 32bit applications and that is what you might be geting confused.

Many thanks diesel. I cannot remember ever having an administrator password. Looks like I shall have to do a restore on my PC and not bother with the updates. Or maybe I could find my password from somewhere ? When I went into control panel I found a box with administrator and my name and it said password protected so I must have had one at some time. If the baseband has been changed and you are trying to put the phone back to a condition to unlock it be aware you may not be able to accomplish this.

Connect the iOS device to your computer restore via iTunes. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

. You do not need a seperate Apple ID. One one device you just need to go to Settings>Messages and add another/different Messaging email address and delete the common Apple ID address. Also see:

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Correct. When you did that, you voided all warranty/support, & forfeited the right to an out of warranty replacement.
There was nothing wrong with the screen I bought,
And, exactly, how do you know that? Since Apple DOES NOT sell iPhone parts, there is no official source for genuine parts. Thus, many on the market are counterfeit & produce nothing but problems.

He are some apps that are still compatible for iOS 4.2
> Pandora Radio (supports iOS 3 or better)
> Army of Darkness: Defense (support iOS 3 or better)
> Jet Fighters: ONLINE
> Jet Fighters II: ONLINE
These are the apps that I know that supports iOS 4.2...... get these before the their next updates.
Some of these apps may be laggy but still playable.
BUT IF YOU DO UPGRADE TO BETTER IPOD...... I would get the iTouch 4g OR 5g because of iOS 6 and use of camera and better graphics.
