If I don't resubscribe will I loose all my uploaded Music?

I want to purchase iTunes Match but am worried that if one year I forget/don't want to resubscribe I'll loose any music that has been uploaded (not purchased in iTunes).
Does all my music wait for me to resubscribe or does it just all get removed?

It will be removed after some time when your subscription has expired so before it expires, make sure to download all the contents of your iTunes Match library. If you do not want your subscription to renew, then cancel the auto renewing for iTunes Match.

  • HT4609 if i uninstall my itunes will i loose all of my music?

I installed the new version of itunes on my computer. I do not like it i want to go back to the version before. If i uninstall my program will i loose all of my music that i have in my itunes. Or will it auto matically put it back in it??

well there is a problem with your plan, itunes really wont let you downgrade, if you where to try it would be a **** of a journey. If your music was added from folders and such the music will still be where it was added from, if yuo bought the music through itunes there is a very good chance it will be gone, but can be recovered through itunes via your account

No, you should not lose anything.

No you will not lose any data. However a pop up will come up telling you if you want to sync with this computer, and that if you do, that it will erase the data. Just click "No" and you can still update your phone. I've done this a few times.

You will lose the entire contents of your iDisk whether or not you migrate to MobileMe as there is no equivalent in iCloud and MobileMe will be terminated at the end of June. You will need to download any data which you don't have on your Mac already.
Snow Leopard is not compliant with iCloud and most of the facilities will not work. You can migrate from MobileMe to iCloud at http://me.com/move even with Snow Leopard: when asked to confirm that your Mac is running Lion just lie and say 'yes'. Of course you won't be able to access iCloud directly from your Mac.
If you have MobileMe mail set up to collect mail from external POP accounts you should cancel this before migrating, or you may find it still working in iCloud (where it isn't supposed to) and with no way of stopping it.
This will be the situation with Snow Leopard when you have migrated:
Your email, calendars, and 'Find my iPhone' will be migrated to iCloud. Contacts and Bookmarks cannot be migrated from a Snow Leopard Mac.
Your iDisk, together with website hosting and Gallery, will continue to work as before until next June.
Syncing of Dashboard Widgets, Dock Items and Keychains between Macs, and Mail Accounts, Mail Rules, System Preferences, Signatures & Smart Mailboxes between Macs & iOS devices, will cease altogether.
You will be able to access email and calendars on the iCloud website at http://icloud.com provided your browser is reasonably up-to-date.
You will not be able to sync contacts or bookmarks from a pre-Lion Mac.
You will be able to enter the server settings for email manually in the Mail application and access your email.
You will not be able to sync your calendars directly.
Some people have been able to set up calendar syncing by using the method detailed here - this is an unsupported hack and may not be reliable, and may stop working at some future point.
There appears to be no method of syncing contacts (though Address Book on a Mac can be synced with Google or Yahoo address books - I don't know how reliable this is).
There are a couple of third-party solutions which may be of interest.
BusyCal is an iCal-like calendar application with extra facilities: it can sync with the iCloud Calendar while running on Leopard, Snow Leopard or Lion. A single user licence (two machines allowed) is $49.99.
Soho Organizer can sync Calendars and Contacts with iCloud on Leopard, Snow Leopard and Lion. A single user licence (multiple machines allowed) is $99.99.

  • If i update to ios 5 will it loose all my progress on different apps

i want to update my ipod 4 but it says that it will delete all my apps, so will i loose all the data i have in those apps if i update
    please help me!!!!!!!!!

What is your current OS? If you have 5.0 and are updating to 5.0.1, the update can be done right on the device. Settings > General > Software Update. This will ensure that no data will be lost on the iPad and will be restored after the update.
If you have iOS 4.x, you will need to update in iTunes, just the way you were doing it. This message indicates that you have used a different computer to sync with in the past-- is this correct?

  • ITunes wont open....will I loose all my music????

my itunes (windows) wont open when I click on the short cut or go into start and programs. it simply wont open. Someone recommended delelting and re downloading...but will I loose all my music????? Someone please help me!!!
    THANKS!

    hiya!
    a few questions before proceeding.
are you getting an error message? if so, what does it say? include error message numbers if you're getting any.
or are you getting no error messages whatsoever when you try to launch itunes?
if you're getting no error messages whatsoever, do you just see the wee hourglass for a few seconds, and then nothing? if so, do you also have Norton Internet Security 2005 installed on that PC?
or are you seeing a brief "flash" of the itunes license screen (and then nothing)? if so, do you also see similar behavior when you try to launch your QuickTime?
    love, b

  • Firefox will no longer open. all proceedures have been tried. there's an error in generating a crash report. If I reinstall firefox from scratch, will I loose all bookmarks?

I had power hits that cycled my computer a few times. I had to do a recovery from a week ago. Firefox will no longer start. A crash report pop-up shows an error and cannot send a report. I'm assuming the program will have to be reinstalled. Will I loose all previous bookmarks. Doing a windows search for bookmarks only shows about 1/3 of saved bookmarks. Are they gone too.

I gambled, and all bookmarks returned.

  • Need to delete Itunes and re install it. Will i loose all my music library?

I accidentally deleted Quick time. It is needed to run itunes. A message tells me to uninstall Itunes and re install it again. My concern is : will i loose all my music library in process? Here's some additional info :
    WinXP
    Ipod Classic (5th gen)
Any help is appreciated. Please email me [email protected] Thanks a bunch

    Hey there,
No, because your music is stored elsewhere on your computer (most likely under My Music from within My Documents). I have had to follow this procedure a few times and have never lost a song. So go ahead and re-install.

  • I am thinking of updating to the newest version for my Mac Laptop. I have the 10.6.8 should I update to the Mountain Lion OS X? If I update will I loose all my data, like documents, music, pictures?

Wondering if I should update my Mac Notebook which is a 10.6.8 versions to the newest Mountain Lion version? What are the positive and negatives about the new version? Also if I update will I loose all the date on my computer like documents, music, pictures etc..?

First check the Compatibility of your Mac...
    Upgrade to Mountain Lion
Then... Before attempting any Major Upgrade... get yourself an External Hard Drive... and create a Bootable Clone Backup of your current Hard Drive...
By far the easiest way to make such a Backup, is to use something like
    SuperDuper  http://www.shirt-pocket.com/
    or CCC  http://www.bombich.com/
That way, should anything untoward happen during the Upgrade,
    you will NOT LOSE ANYTHING.
(Get an EHD that is at least equal to your current Drive...)
Also, Check here for compatibility of 3rd party Software you may be using...

  • My husband(less technologically inclined than I am), decided to delete programs from our iMac, now it has a grey screen and won't get past it. If I insert the Application Install DVD, to repair the disk, will I loose all my pictures and music?

My husband(less technologically inclined than I am), decided to delete programs from our iMac, he turned it off and now it has a grey screen and won't get past it. It won't start in safe mode and when I  If I insert the Application Install DVD, to repair the disk, will I loose all my pictures and music?

With a corrupt disk, the install procedure is most likely going to fail.
    How old it the disk?
You might be able to reformat it to fix the problem. Of course that means you lose all of your data.
The other alternative is to get a new disk drive and put that in your Mac and install OS X
Then put the old disk drive in an enclosure and see what can be recovered from it.

  • Will i loose all my songs

my sister and i are sharing an itunes account. we both have iphones. when she would buy stuff like music or apps i would get them just like she would get mine. my question is will i loose all the songs i got from her if i sync my phone on my computer.

... my question is will i loose all the songs i got from her if i sync my phone on my computer.
Your question confuses me a bit, since if all your iTunes purchases were made with the same Apple ID then you will not lose anything.
The iPhone is smart enough to know the iTunes Library with which it is synced. It can only be synced to one at a time. If you attempt to sync her iPhone with your computer, or any computer other than hers for example, iTunes will ask you what you want to do. You can transfer its purchased content to your computer, or you can elect to erase and sync it to your iTunes library.
"Erase and sync" does exactly what it says and in that order. First, the phone is erased. Then, it is synced to the iTunes Library that is on that computer's account. If your iTunes Library already contains your purchased music, then after syncing the iPhone will too. On the other hand if that iTunes Library is empty to begin with, guess what happens.

  • Will I loose all my files and photos when I upgrade from 10.5.8 to Snow leopard

I have purchased Mac OS X Snow Leopard from the Mac store and I am ready to install it. Will I loose all my files and photos when I install it ?  I am upgrading from 10.5.8 to 10.6.3 Snow leopard.

Before embarking on a major OS upgrade, it would be wise, advisable and very prudent if you backup your current system to an external connected and Mac formatted Flash drive OR externally connected USB, Thunderbolt or FireWire 800, Mac formatted hard drive. Then, use either OS X Time Machine app to backup your entire system to the external drive OR purchase, install and use a data cloning app, like CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper, to make an exact and bootable copy (clone) of your entire Mac's internal hard drive. This step is really needed in case something goes wrong with the install of the new OS or you simply do not like the new OS, you have a very easy way/procedure to return your Mac to its former working state.

  • Will i loose all my  photos if iPhoto isn't working?

will i loose all my  photos if iPhoto isn't working?  my computer just got updated by my iPhoto is saying it isn't compatible? will i loose my photos if they were in folders on iPhoto?

my computer just got updated by my iPhoto is saying it isn't compatible? will i loose my photos if they were in folders on iPhoto?
What is your MacOS X version and your current version of iPhoto?
if you just updated to a newer MacOS X version, for example MacOS X 10.9.x, your version of the iPhoto.app may be no longer compatible and you need to update or upgrade iPhoto to a newer version.  Check at the App Store if there is an update for iPhoto.  If not, post back with the versions you are having installed. You may need to buy an upgrade.
will i loose my photos if they were in folders on iPhoto?
The photos in your iPhoto library are save, even if you have to upgrade to a newer version, but it is always wise to make a backup before updating or upgrading, just in case.

  • Will I loose all my free apps and music if I update itunes to newest version..

Will I loose all my apps n music if I update itunes to the newest version out? Please advise the last time there was an update I lost everything on my ipod touch. And I dont wanna loose everything on my iphone as well! Please advise..

You shouldn't lose anything from your computer.  You should always make sure that your backup copy of your computer ( including your itunes library) is up to date before any update.
