If I dont verify my email address will my account be activated?

I accidently made and Apple ID to a email accout that is no longer activated...so I am unable to verify my email address.  Yahoo closed my email account and wont let me reactivate it.  I put my credit card info in when I was setting it up.

    Can I change my verified primary email address that is currently associated with my apple id?  I don't want to change my apple id because I have music and apps assoicated with it.  I tired following some of the posts that shows going to an apple dialog that allows you to update your apple id and primary email separately, but when I try doing it I get a dialog that says I can update my apple id and my primary email.  I don't want to change my apple id only my primary email.  Anyone have any suggestions?  That email is going away soon.  Thanks for any help.

    Did you change the email for the Apple ID or did you create a new Apple ID? A new Apple ID cannot be used with content that was bought using a different Apple ID.

    Anyone know how to sort this problem out? I've got my email address set up with Apple but when I try and set up my iMessage with my email account, it won't verify

    Have you tried to resend the verification email? I had the problem once and this solved it.

  • When I try to use FaceTime on my Macbook Air, I try to verify the email I want people to call me with, and it says verified, but soon an message comes up that says "Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again."

    So our school lets us use Macbook Airs for the school year, and it has facetime on it. I know facetime isn't blocked because like everyone else is using it. So I decide to give it a try. I click the icon, it says enter your apple ID. I dont have one, so I click to make one, and do so. I then enter my apple ID and click next. The screen reads "People will call you using your email address. What email address would you like to use?" I enter my email address in the box below the message, and then go to my email and click the link, and sign in, thus verifying the email. I go back to the facetime window, and click next. At the top it says Verified, but when I click next it doesn't go on to the next step, it simply blacks out the next button so that I can not click it, and after a few minutes a message comes up that says "Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again."
    So that is the issue, please help!!!!!
    *Note-I repeat that I know it is not blocked by the school because everyone else uses it just fine.*

    Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using.  FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in.  This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly.  By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you.  Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

  • Why can't FaceTime verify my email address on my Mac but it works fine on my iPhone?

    I can receive and make facetime calls on my iphone but it won't work on my Macbook Pro. It used to work fine and I haven't changed my email address or password. It has now automatically logged my out and won't verify my email address to log me back in. Does anyone know how I can fix it?

    I have been troubleshooting this issue myself for over 3 weeks now.  I have looked through 20+ forums searching for answers.  I know your pain. Here's what you need to do:
    You need to call Apple.  The problem is NOT on your end!  I spoke with an Apple representative and they said that it is a "registration issue" and that THEY need to reset security settings.  I waited 14 minutes but the representative found the issue then reset it and I was able to sign in.
    Call 1-800-275-2273 (It's free in the US or on Skype if you're in Europe!)  When you call, you'll get the standard automated secretary.  DO NOT SAY ANYTHING.  If you say anything, you will be told that you either need to purchase a protection plan for $19.99 or literally "end the call".  Just stay on the line until you're asked if you wish to speak with a representative.  Do that and you'll be connected (for free).  They will ask for you Macbook Pro serial number and a "Customer Code" if you have one.  Tell them how long that you've had this issue and they'll confirm your Apple ID.
    Once they confirm your Apple ID, they reset everything on their end and you should be set.  Make sure that you are able to send messages/make calls before hanging up.

    The verification email will be sent to the email account that you are trying to add to the iTunes account - you can't have it sent to a different email account, that will not be verifying that you have access to the email account that you are trying to add.
    If the email isn't in the inbox or spam folder of the account that you are trying to add, and you've tried requesting that it be resent, then you could try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • Why do I need to verify my email address?

    As with any successful global Community, we are constantly at war with Spam.  The people behind spam don't care that their spam is not welcome here.  They simply want to get you to view their message.  This small win is enough to justify their efforts in their mind.  
    Acer's effort to combat spam posts is already quite extensive but we are still cleaning up a lot of spam each and every day.  As part of the effort to make it harder for Spammers, we are now forcing all members to verify their email address before they are allowed to post.  This extra step not only ensures members are using their real email address but it also makes a spammer take the time to verify and in some cases this is enough to deter them.  
    I regret forcing legitimate members to jump through this hoop but if it helps us all enjoy a Community with less Spam, I think this small inconvenience is worth it.  
    If you have not yet verified your email address, you can do this in My Settings > Personal Profile > Email

    Have you tried to clear the cookies for Gmail?
    *Click the Firefox button > Options > Privacy > Remove individual cookies > Search for mail.google.com or gmail.com and remove those cookies.

    I have the same problem. FaceTime works fine on my iMac but when trying to use FaceTime on my Macbook Air, I have the same issue you describe.
