If I download the Lightroom 4.4 release candidate, will it keep all of my stuff?

I am able to keep all of my photos/collections in Lightroom when I update, but I was wondering if I did the release candidate if it would do the same?

I just installed it and it kept all of mine, but there was a problem with previews disappearing. How long does it take to back up your existing stuff? I'd back it up...just in case

Simply connect an external hard drive to it. Format it if it's not labeled as made for Mac using Disk Utility.
I'd recommend backing it up using Time Machine. Your Macbook should ask you if you want this drive to be used for Time Machine....you do.
Once the backup is done you can, later on, use the backup drive to migrate everything to your new iMac.

what you need to do is do a backup. then download and install the update, then allow it to restore from backup. You'll lose nothing that way. Don't do a backup then you do run the risk of losing data.

I have downloaded the Lightroom CC(2015) after downloadibg the programm wont start. I have, stuped done, uninstalled the earlier version 5.7.1. This version is not possibel to download again. So now I have no Lightroom.

You can follow the article: Sign in, Sign out | Creative Cloud desktop app to sign out and sign in back again to Creative Cloud and try to launch your Lightroom 2015 application.

I got a invalid signature message when downloading the Lightroom 5.2 upgrade

I downloaded the Lightroom 5.2 upgrade but got a message "Invalid signature" do I need to download again or is there an override to complete the installation?

If you are having problems, it is best not to use "Upgrade" in iTunes. DOwnload the installer from the APple site:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
SAve the installer onto your desktop rather than running it from your browser.
Then you can upgrade manually using the installer you saved.
That won't solve your problem, but it simplifies things.
You can often get round the invalid drive message by providing iTunes with the drive while you are installing. DO you know what comes up as drive H:, maybe a camera or external drive?
If you don't have something that comes up as H:, maybe you could plug in a memory stick and allocate drive H: to it.

You need to download and install Camera Raw 6.7.1 for CS5. Once you have downloaded it, you need to install it while CS5 is closed.

Perhaps the PDF files are corrupted.
Hit the command key and spacebar, a blue Spotlight in the upper right hand corner appears, now type Preview and press return on the Preview program.
Now you can try opening the PDF's from the file menu and see what's going on.
If they are corrupted, perhaps they are trojans from your Windows PC or gotten from a bad location online.
Download the free ClamXav and run a scan on the possibly infected folder.

You shouldn't wait that long to ask advice. Firefox only keeps a (rotating) backup of bookmarks for the last 5 days that you started Firefox. So you may be out of luck.
You can check that you still use your old default profile that had your bookmarks.<br />
