I have used comcast internet for ten years but want to switch. I want to change providers but will I be able to access saved email?

Then copy them, or export them to the desktop.

After you have changed accounts you can put the folders back into Mail.

You will be able to get your mail on the PowerBook. The calendars (iCal) will not sync; any events added to iPad and/or iPhone will not sync with the Mac but will sync with each other (that is: the mobile devices which are on iCloud). My MacBook Pro (Lion) and iPad2 (iOS5) sync fine; I still get my Mail on iBook G4, MacBook Pro (Snow Leopard) and iMac (Snow Leopard).

i have an ipod classic and it's in recovery mode. I recently started a new itunes library on my laptop instead of the family computer, but managed to keep all my music. Now it's in recovery mode and it looks like I have no choice but to restore it to factory settings. If I do that, will I still be able to go back to my old computer and get all my albums back on my ipod? I would import my cds onto my laptop but unfortunately it doesn't take discs.

The iPod backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music. They have to be in the iTunes library before your restore from iTunes backup.

Do you mean the version of Outlook that comes with Microsoft Office and runs on your computer, or a web-based version of Outlook?
The version of Outlook that installs on your computer can work with supplemental local files, so you could move your old mail from Thunderbird into Outlook (although I have no idea what the steps are for that).
Cloud-based email interfaces might not be able to import old mail, in which case you still could view it in Thunderbird, but it would be much less convenient.

I have Firefox 3.6 and although and although it works beautifully I am know being told if I dont upgrade it is going to upgrade automatically. I know I will loose the google toolbar but will there still be a button were i can access my Igoogle page and I have everything stored in my bookmarks drop down so I dont have to type it in I just click bookmarks pick which bill I want to pay it takes me to the page and thats it, even access to my bank accounts are stored in bookmarks so I dont want to loose that feature, its quick simple and easy. right know I have my AT&T homepage with Firefox and there is a IGoogle icon I can click on in the toolbar that will take me to my IGoogle home page which I use all the time . If you want to set iGoogle as your home page, you can read [[How to set the home page]], tell it to use igoogle, then you should be all set!
Now, are your bookmarks google bookmarks or Firefox bookmarks? firefox bookmarks will still be there, but for Google bookmarks, you have to do a workaround to use them. Will I still be able to get CS upgrades on DVD?

We live in an isolated rural area in the Sierra with bandwidth limited internet service (which is faster and more reliable in our area than satellite). One upgrade of Adobe Acrobat (940mb) wiped out our bandwidth limit for the month and our service dropped down to dial-up speed. My husband begged to buy more bandwidth, but there's only so much room. I could not download my current version of CS6 and had to get a DVD form Adobe. We don't even have a landline. Cell only.
To get high speed wifi, I must drive to the closest coffee shop about 30 miles away. We will never get high speed internet here. Not in my lifetime anyway.
Does anyone know if Adobe will still offer DVDs of the upgrades to CS? I hope so, because the Cloud probably won't work for most of rural America.

You'd have to ask customer service to get any sort of definitive answer, but I suspect if you can tell us which update and platform you need one of us would volunteer to download it and burn to disk for you.

It is my understanding that if you delete the account per the instructions below, you will be able recreate, but you will NOT have access to the prior BBM contacts.

You have to remember either the BlackBerryID password, or the secret question answer. Without either, you're stuck.
Your choices are:
--Use another email account to create an entirely new BlackBerryID (with which you will lose access to any purchased apps using the "forgotten" first BlackBerryID, or
--Find the initial email you were sent to confirm the initial BlackBerryID, and in it is a link to click to cancel and delete the account. Click on that, delete the account and then you can use that same email to create an entirely new account.

Like i said above, it shouldnt be a problem. If they do look up the serial number and its someone elses name on the account, just let them know that you bought the phone and you would like to have your own information put on the account instead.

iCloud only works with 10.7 Lion according to what I've heard, to get 10.7 you have to upgrade to 10.6.8 then download 10.7 from the MacAppStore. Then only to a 64 bit Intel Mac, no Core Duo's. Also you need 2GB of RAM, but many say you really need 4GB.
CS2 will NOT work on 10.7 for sure, it might not run on 10.5/10.6 neither.
CS2 is rather dated, you'll have to check with Adobe exactly what you can do first, IMMO don't bother.
You won't achieve your goal, so it's best to stay right where you are and run that machine until it drops less you break something.
Next machine you buy, it will be 10.7 and you'll have to buy a new CS5/6 whatever etc.
Also new printers/scanners etc.
Something to plan for, I'd wait for all your software/drivers to be Lion ready first, then wait for the bugs to get out before purchasing a new Mac.

I want to clear some space on my Mac since it is filling up and I don't have much room left on it. All tracks in iTunes (if you use default settings) should be in various artist and album folders in the main media folder in the iTunes folder. You can right click a track to reveal its location in Finder. If there's a copy there then it doesn't really matter what you do with other copies.
I have never downloaded from iTunes but I thought it placed files directly in the correct locations, or is this some other downloads folder to which you are referring?
Normally if you download a file from another source and add it to iTunes by dragging it there, or using the Add To menu item, it places a copy of the file in iTunes. You can discard the original, but if you're concerned you can check which copy iTunes is actually using as above.

Once again, the Find My iPhone app has no effect on this.
Find My iPhone must be enabled with your iCloud account settings on the iPhone.
Location Services must be enabled.
The iPhone must be connected to the internet via an available wi-fi network or via the carrier's cellular network.
If the iPhone is powered off, none of the Find My iPhone features can work, and the same if the thief or whoever has access to the iPhone has restored the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone on another computer.

They say I have to send off my faulty device to them, and they will fix it, but I don't want to do that. I just want to walk into an Apple store, tell them the problem and have a happy ending, like what's supposed to happen. Will I be able to do this?

Apple warranty is good at any Apple service provider, AASP or store.
But you seem to be reaching far to defend that "it's a legit website", especially when they seem to be directing you from seeking certified Apple service.
As the saying goes: If it looks like a duck, and it sound like a duck, it's quackers to bypass an Apple store or Apple online to save a few $$. Well, something like that.
