If I edit a photo in iPhoto, where does it go and how do I view the edited version?

I am editing photos and once done so, I cannot view them and seem to be going roung and roung in circles trying to import/export and no tgetting anywhere!  All I want to do is view the edited photo to use in the future.

To view the edited photo launch iPhoto and view it
Depending on what you want to use it for you may export it (file menu ==> export) or from another program select it in the media browser in the lower left hand corner of every open/attach/upload window
What exactly are you trying to do?

New to apple. When I copy text, where does it go and how can I retrieve it?

You retrieve it by pasting it somewhere.  It works just like copy/paste on a computer.

If I make a copy of an e-mailed attachment document, where does it go and how do I access it?

i actually got it figured out. I have multiple email accounts i have to use due to different corporate offices ( which can be a real headache at times). The exchange account is an active server used by Hilton and its an actual account. What was happening is my mail was getting kicked back to their server for storage. Once I contacted Hilton, they corrected it on their end. Thanks for trying to help out.

If you have Yosemite you need iphoto 9.6 from the App store - what is the exact error message you are getting?
Try dragging the iphoto Application to the trash from your applications folder (wait tot empty the trash) and then install iPhoto 9.6 from the App store

  • I have ms exchange on my iphone 4s and when i read my email, it disappears. Where does it go and how do I stop this from happening?

I recently aquired an iphone 4s due to the fact that our parent corporation requires us to use either a blackberry or iphone in order to have the protection needed to use their email. In MS Exchange, when I recieve an email, I read it once, then it's gone. Very frustrating as I need to keep those emails available. Where do they go and How do I stop this from happening?

  • Scanning into iPhoto -where are files landing, and how to get copies?

Maybe if I describe my current situation, I can better understand what a good way of maintaining the archive of photos I've kept for 13 years is in a cross-platform manner. I just scanned a photo, and chose to tell the scanning software to send it into iPhoto. There it ends up in the package, in folders like Originals>>2009>>May 25, 2009 and May 25, 2009_2 for the second scan, etc, etc.
So I can either copy the files that are in those folders to the desktop, taking care not to remove or delete them, and then push them into my archive in the folders I want them, or I could save out each one as it hits iPhoto, using the Export function. I've got 18 years of film photos I'm going through to add to my digital archive the best memories of my wife, who recently passed. So if I find one of us at Fallen Leaf Lake in 1995, I want to shove it into my archive folder in a folder called 1995, and it's subfolder Summer. iPhoto has been a godsend in this project, but I also want to continue maintaining my application-independent archive, and am thinking that maybe saving out each photo as it hits iPhoto is the way to go. And is it possible I'm just not getting how to scan a bunch of related photos at once and have them all land in the same folder or event?
With every photo getting it's own folder in the package, today's date in the metadata, and it's own new "untitled event", I'm finding it difficult to make much progress.

Okay I've figured out a way to work with the scanned photo files before iPhoto. But what do I do to get them into iPhoto in a way that makes sense? I've got film-only photos I need from around 1990 all the way up till the recent past. So I'm looking at nine photos of my wife at our daughter's first birthday. To pull them into iPhoto without creating a bunch of folders, events, with today's dates.... Should I put them into folders with descriptive names in the hopes that that will cause iPhoto to assemble them into an event by that same name?
    That is a good idea
drag the folder onto the iPhoto icon in the dock to import all of the photos in it as an event with the folder name
Also you can use file names (name managler - http://www.manytricks.com/namemangler/ -is a good program for renaming files) before importing to iPhoto
And use some kind of metadata editor to assign dates before pulling them into iPhoto? I whacked my entire iPhoto library a few days back over this this and some other sets of photos, because once I got them into the same "event", I used Command+A to select them for a date change. However that did not select all the photos in the event, it selected all the photos in the library. Then the date change put everything out of whack for all the photos - apparently it adds or subtracts to the Julien dates, so instead of making everything that certain date, in this case it adjusted all photos to lose about ten years.
You used adjust them and date - it adds a constant delta to the dates which does not work for scanned photos since they have no "date taken" - you want the batch change time and date to change all selected photos to a specific date and time (with the possibility of adding an increment to the time)

  • FND_FILE.PUT_LINE where does it write and how to read what it wrote ?

    Hi,
I have a PL/SQL and it is writing logs in to FND_FILE.PUT_LINE(). But I do not know how to see what is written by this API. Can some one tell me where should I look for.
PL/SQL directly starts with FND_FILE.PUT_LINE() with out specifying where to write (File/table), if file, what is the file name and directory name ?
All I know is it can write to a file or table. I checked my DB for FND_LOG_MESSAGES table, table /view does not exist.
I use SQL Developer to run the PL/SQL.

All I know is it can write to a file or table. I checked my DB for FND_LOG_MESSAGES table, table /view does not exist.Run like
    select * from apps.FND_LOG_MESSAGES;Thanks

  • Audio playback during preview mode, where does it go and how to get it back

O.K so after many pain staking hours, spending $300 bucks on a DV to analog converter box (I know, but I just did not want to use my camera) I finally get real time video playback on my NTSC monitor. Now I can't hear any audio. I know I can set video out to canvas playback, but then there is no picture sent to my NTSC monitor. Any suggestion?
    Thanks

Duh, answered my own question. I moved the audio out cables from the computer to the converter box and presto we have picture and we have sound.

  • I have submitted a question about thumbnails, but it is not included under my Profile, so where is it held and how can I view it ?

    This is my original question.
I have disabled the New Tab thumbnails by setting auto-config to 'aboutblank' and this has ensured the New Tab page is blank.
However, FF is still dumping these thumbnails onto my PC, this despite my having set the History to 'Clear Cache' on exit from FF. I have tested New Tab without thumbnails in my last FF session, yet found the thumbnails of visited Sites were on my PC.
If 'Clear Cache' does not remove these thumbnails, what does ?

You can create new properties in about:config by right-clicking in the list and choosing New > [entry type] from the context menu.
For true/false properties, choose New > Boolean as your entry type.

  • I figured out how to snap a still photo of a movie clip, but where then does it go, and how can I import it into my iPhoto library?

I was working in iMovie and discovered how to take a still photo of a movie clip.  Now I can't find that still photo!  Where did it go, and how can I import it to my iPhoto library?

Just found out and it is simple.  When you find a frame in your video/movie of which you want a still photo or screen shot, just go to the frame and click on command, shift and the #3 in quick succession.  You will hear a "click" like a camera taking a photo.  The screen shot will then go to your desktop where you can drag it to iPhoto or an e-mail, or anywhere you like.  Also you can rename the screen shot by double clicking on the wording under the screen shot on your desk top. Whew!

  • I sent e-mail photos from iPhoto using my @me account but I do not find the history of sent e-mails in my new iCloud account. Where can I find the history of sent e-mails?

I sent e-mail photos from iPhoto using my @me account but I do not find the history of sent e-mails in my new iCloud account. Where can I find the history of sent e-mails?

Using iPhoto as the email client in iPhoto does not creatge a sent copy.  iPhoto indicates in the Info drawer if a photo was emailed by iPhoto (under the Sharing section):
There's no easy way to search for photos that have been emailed. Each photo has to be inspected via the Info tray.
One could add a keyword to emailed photos which would let a smart album keep track of those photos.
A better solution, IMO, is to set Mail as the email client (in iPhoto's General preference pane) and use it.  That will give you an sent copy, better access to your contacts and, if you want a theme, numerous photo themes under the Stationary section of Mail.

Hey, click on Iphoto on the top bar.
    Then go to preferences.
Go to accounts, and change your user name and password for the email.
    Hope this helps.
