If I get a new computer, can I download my music to that new computer from the cloud via iTunes match?

I just bought a new computer and was wondering if i authorize it, will it be able to download the songs I own if they're uploaded on itunes match. Thanks all.

If you call around, you might be able to find an apple authorized repair shop in your area that can offer to put pull the hard dive out of the old computer and put it into an external hard drive.

Apple might release small updates for 4th generation iPods touch if they find serious issues like the FaceTime problem that made Apple release iOS 6.1.5 for the 4th generation iPod touch. However, this device won't receive any major iOS update.
The 4th generation iPod touch has got 256 MB of memory, and iOS 7 devices have got 512 MB or more of memory

I used a usb turntable to import old vinyl records into iTunes. Then with the cloud and iTunes match I put them on another Mac.  The songs come up in the music list but they are greyed out.  How do I get them recognized.  The symbol states the songs were downloaded from iCloud.  I would like to get them to play so that I can make a playlist, and burn a CD.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

What do I do with my old CS4 when downloading the new versions from the cloud?
Do I just uninstall via the control panel on my computer?

if you no longer need cs4, deactivate it (help>deactivate) and uninstall it.
otherwise, leave it installed along with cc.  you can use both if you need.

  • Restored my new 5s from the cloud still says it is being restored.

I have restored my new 5s from the cloud and the phone works good, but it still says it is being restored so I cannot update to 7.0.1
This is going on 12 hours.

    Hey beef1976,
I can understand your frustration. However, the following article provides a little more insight:
iCloud: Troubleshooting restoring an iCloud backup
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4036
The restore process is taking a long time to finish.
The amount of time needed by the restore process depends on your geographical location and the speed of your Internet connection. Even with a fast Internet connection, the restore process may need 1 to 4 hours per gigabyte to complete.
If you're traveling between countries, the restore process may require more time than usual. iCloud is tuned to provide the best service when you're in the geographical location from which you most frequently connect to the Internet. When restoring from an iCloud backup, iCloud is tuned to provide the best service in the geographical region you were in when you created the backup.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • If I cancel my Adobe subscription, can I still access my data that is stored in the cloud?

If I cancel my Adobe subscription, can I still access my data that is stored in the cloud? Just curious....and what about retrieving data from the cloud? How can that be accomplished?

Your storage is tied to your subscription, so no, you won't be able to access your data after you quit. I'm not clear on what you are asking otherwise - you can download any content from the cloud by simply clicking on the relevant links/ preview images.

  • I just uploaded my iTunes library to the cloud using iTunes Match. When I buy a new song from iTunes, is it automatically put in the Cloud or do I have to push iTunes Match. I certainly don't want to upload the whole library again. Thanks

I just uploaded my iTunes library to the cloud using iTunes Match. When I buy a new song from iTunes, is it automatically sent to the Cloud or do I have to click on iTunes Match? I certainly don't want to start the whole upload process over again. Thanks

It should do so automatically, if not check it's staus this way.
In iTunes press "Command J" or select "View Options," under the view menu. In the popup window check iCloud Status. It will now appear as one of the columns in your main iTunes window.
This column will show which of your songs are matched, uploaded, ineligible, etc.
When you navigate to the song you downloaded you will see it's iCloud status.
If the status says, "waiting," and you want it available on Match now, then in the iTunes "Store," menubar pulldown, select "Update iTunes Match."
It will scan your drive, and update all status'.
You will not have to upload everything again.
Even if in iTunes you turn Match off, and back on again.
    Match remembers you!

  • Can I load songs onto my ipod nano (7G) from the cloud without downloading it to my PC?

I just bought a 7G nano.  All of my songs are in the cloud.  My computer has little space for my large collection of music, podcasts, and videos.  I just bought a couple of albums and they went directly to my ipod when I synced.  The rest of my library, however, was left in the cloud and didn't make it to my ipod.  The only way I can tell to transfer my music from the cloud to my ipod is to download it from the cloud to my PC.  Is there a way to bypass my PC and go directly to my ipod?

You will need that library copied from the old computer. If not, then you can take a look at this in getting 3rd party software to recover your library from the iPod. Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive

  • I need to be able to have music on my ipad mini that doesnt come from the cloud. I have turned off imatch on my computer and ipad and it still has the cloud symble on the ipad. I really just want imatch gone I have already unsubscribed

I want to get back to just having my music on my computer with none of the cloud problems. I have a limited amount of data download and imatch is killing it. How can get it off and restore iTunes to the way it was before so I can download songs to my devices?

you need to make sure itunes match is disabled in the two locations on your ipad. first is in settings>itunes & app store. the other is in settings>music. hope that works for you.

  • Can I again downlaod music which I previously purchased from the Itunes.

My computer crashed and now I can't access my saved Itunes music. Can I downlaod music which I previously purchased from the Itunes store a second time (so I can put on my new computer).
Since I bought the music once, I shouldn't have to buy it again....right?

Well, when you buy something from iTunes you can only download it from them once.
You can e-mail them here and see if they can let you re-download the files
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store
Or, you can try to sync the purchases back off your iPod using iTunes 7
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93366
Or, you can always download a third party application to transfer everything off your iPod, such as iPodRip or iPodUtil.

  • How do I get my music permanently on my iPhone from the cloud

I am sometimes in an area that does not have wifi or 3G and can't play music from the cloud. Can I get my music permanemtly on my iPhone?

    From Apple's site:
"When you buy from iTunes, iCloud stores your purchase history. So you can see what you’ve bought — no matter which device you bought it on. You can access your purchase history from the iTunes Store on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, PC, or Apple TV. And since you already own the songs, albums, or TV shows in your purchase history, you can tap to download them to any of your devices."
If you have a mix of purchased and ripped music, then you need to sync what you want from your iTunes, which you should consider the central database for such files.  You should have all your music there.
