If I get a new iPod touch from Amazon, will it have the new apps?
If I order a new iPod touch from Amazon.com today will it have the new apps? Or will Apple recgonize its new and download them for me for free? Just wondering because I don't want to buy a new one and then get stuck without the apps. Thanks
I'm in the same boat. I have $300 in Amazon gift cards for buying an iPod touch, but found this statement on the product page:
"Does not ship with the latest announced new software applications for the Touch. Software upgrades are available via iTunes for $20"
The 16GB Touch sells for $358.99, which is 2% lower than it was the day before the Keynote. I have a feeling Amazon may have a glut of them before the announcement and will wait to see if Apple even sells them to Amazon for resell.

I bought a new Ipod touch, my itunes will not see the mp3 songs I already have on my PC
I have thousands of mp3's on my PC. I used to use a Zune, it died I made the move to I pod touch. I downloaded I tunes to my PC and a small amount of my music showed up on the screen. I did a search for an artist for whom I have lots of songs. I tunes can't find him and tries to direct to the I tunes store to buy stuff by him. Unacceptable
So then I went to my windows explorer, opened my folder for the artist, right clicked on a song, chose "play" and I tunes then played it. So now I tunes can find that one song but none of the others in that folder. I don't want to do this drill with all my songs since I have thousands that I tunes can't or won't display. Is this just some cynical move by Apple to get me to re-buy music I already have? -
I have a 3rd gen ipod shuffel, it only works when plugged into mains and also I moved from windows to apple and the ipod was formated for windows can I transfer the music to the mac and if so how do i convert, and transfer i have a new ipod touch I would like to trf the old tunes to and no longer have the cd's used to put of the old ipod.

Anyone know if 3.0 is included on all new ipod touch from now on? If so, does Apple have a history of giving you credit for the software update if say, you just got the ipod a couple days ago? I just bought my first mac and got the 2g ipod touch with it on Friday. Argh. If I had known I would've waited but I was so excited from the WWDC news of the 13" macbook I was stalking for so long that I just bought it! I would like to save that $10 if I could. Anyone know if Apple does such things?
Also, I have a 1g iPod touch that was synced with my windows pc. I figured out how to transfer my paid apps and other apps to the new touch, but it says it can only be linked to one iTunes. Is there a way for me to set it up so I can sync the ipod from my new mac from now on? but keep the apps?
THANKS!Suz, as long as iTunes on both computers are authorized, you should be able to start synching to both. But make sure you do a back-up on your old computer(the one you was synching to all along) before starting to sync your apps to the new one. If you're not sure whether your iTune has been authorized, you can click on 'Store' then go down to the last section where it should say 'View My Account (your e-mail)...'. If not then Authorize it again. Since you may not have all the music files from your previous computer, you should uncheck all sync categories check boxes until you've transfer them by other means to your new pc, otherwise it will erase them from your iPod. The first time you click the sync button(assuming you've already authorized both pcs), a message will pop up asking whether you will want to 'Erase data' or 'Transfer purchases', click on 'Transfer purchases' and iTune will automatically transfer all your iTune purchased songs and apps to your new iTune.

itunes will only show the old, dead ipod that my niece had given me secondhand.
I just got a new one and want to put in it's serial number, etc. but keep the music.
Please help, I've been going around in circles online for hours. I don't want to merely change the name of the old ipod, which is the only info I can find.

Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
However it appears that no playlists or any other info such as ratings/last played etc will transfer.
If this is important to you, you may want to use other options.
There's Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod to iTunes.
Once the music from your iPod is in your new iTunes library, you can go about adding new music as you did previously. -

So you have tried connecting to open network that do not require a password and it was still unable to connect? If that is the case.
Does Wifi appear grayed out on your iPod via Settings -> Wi-fi?

Download the apps on your syncing computer and then sync to the iPod. Note that you can only sync apps for the one syncing computer you use with the iPod. You can manage music and videos among different computer.

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

You do not need any app.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

hello, I've put up a flash site, but when I go to the domain it says I need to update flash player..I've installed flash player 10, and it still says I need to update flash player 10. I've tried uninstalling every stitch of flash player, rebooting, i
