if i got my macbook pro 13'' charging up and it starts loosing percentage is this ok or not.
My MBP, when it hits 100% and is on wall power, will slowly discharge the battery to about 95% and then recharge. It saves constant use of the battery charging circuits.
I keep it on wall power when near an outlet and run it on battery down to 40% at least once a month.
For the record, my 18 month old battery has 101% of design capacity.

Does your external hard drive have it's own power supply? It should.
Is your external hard drive formatted with the NTFS file system? It won't work.
It needs to be formatted either with Mac OS Extended or FAT32.
(There are drivers available to add NTFS support to OS X but their quality is unknown, especially the "free" ones.) -

I see this problem has been posted before , but no advice has been added , please help if possible .
My iPad recently started to act up. I was using Google to find some information on birthday cakes and recipes. I selected 'images' but instead of the little thumbnails I got computer code. Lines and lines of the stuff. This only happened yesterday. The iPad was working perfectly up to then. I am having no other problems. Google images work fine on my iPhone and my Mac Book. I would be very grateful if somebody could help.The problem is absolutely not Reader. The problem is that FireFox has stepped in front of Reader and handles all the PDF stuff - wrongly in your case. FireFox is DESIGNED to take over PDF files. But it is not capable of doing IRS forms!
To start with go back to IE for these forms. When you save them to disk DO NOT DOUBLE CLICK ON THEM until this is fixed. Just open the in the normal way - start Adobe Reader and use Open from the File menu. -

just got a MacBook pro 2008 from a friend who bought it online. When it came we tested it and it was working. The person he wanted to supply changed his mind and my friend left the mac in the office cabinet since late last year. I decided to buy it and when I tried to turn it on it wouldn't. I charged the battery fully and checked if it was ok. I tried smc and nvram reset yet no sound or beep or any sign of life. There are no apple store around where I live in Nigeria now.

Just got brand new macbook pro (13inch) and restored all data from old mac via time machine. Now when I p/back a track in logic I get audio drop out for 3-4 secs every 10 - 15 secs!! What is going on and what can I do? Its the same version of logic and all other functions seem fine!
First of all, why did you say yes to Nero Back up before researching what it does with files already on the HDD? When I install Nero, the Back Up is the first thing I disable, it is a nagging pain, there are much better backup programs available. There are several file recovery programs out there to recover deleted files, that is, if that is what happened. Also, if you haven't overwritten the files, so you should be able to find them.

I do not wish Firefox Start Page to automatically load when I turn on my computer. the help I sought gave suggestion(s) for a desktop computer to go to start menu and run a system configuration to deselect Firefox as startup - I have a Macbook Pro laptop and haven't been able to figure out where I can do the same - need assistance please
Look in System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items and remove Firefox from that list.

Someone busted my driver side window and went straight to my trunk and they took my Nikon camera and my Macbook Pro 15" along with my other belongings for photography. I called 911 when I got the email from findmyiphone app but they took 6 hours to see me. I live in Vallejo CA. I have been checking my app and they opened my laptop again so I was able to track it again. It was still on the same house that I saw. I match the map from findmyiphone to google earth and got the address. But 911 still can't me out. They even told me that they will not keep following a stolen laptop. I was happy about this app but I can only see the theive using it. I WISH SOMEONE CAN HELP ME. I just got back from the police station and I talked to a cop who was in the parking lot. He just told me that "we can go there and knock and ask but when they said no we can just back out".
I don't know what else to do. I already locked the device using the same app. The fact that I know where it is hurts a lot and I feel helpless at the same time.Same thing here, my Air was stolen back in December, it was turned on for the first time just 10 minutes ago. Only problem is they are in MA, I'm here in CA. I don't know what to do... It's already been reported as stolen with the MA State Police and there was no fixed address to link it to, I think it was a moving car. Anyhow, they turned it back off so the signal is lost now. What should I do if it gets tracked again. I really want my computer back, it was a gift .

So recently my model number A1184 charger for my mac book pro died and I purchased a new charger online. They sent me a different charger, a model number S165365, that has the same amperage and voltage listed. my concern is whether it is okay to swap one out for the latter?
