NO. They do not fix your iPod. If you have not taken it apart
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB 4G and $99 for the other 4Gs. They do not fix yours.

Apple wil very likely charge you to exchange the iPOd. Acidental damage like a problen screen is not covered by the warranty.

Cracked iPod touch 4th gen screen, will apple repair it for free? Ive had it 4months

My boyfriend bought me the latest iPod touch for Christmas 2011. I've had it 4 months, yesterday I put it on the coffee table round my mates and my mate accidentally knocked it off (table was no higher than half a metre), when I picked it up I realised there is a crack in the screen. I know apple give you a year warrantee on all iPods but my boyfriend never bought the extended warrantee. As I've only had my iPod touch 4 months will apple fix it for free or will I have to pay? Also how long does it take to get repaired?

It is not covered by warranty. However, sometimes if you make an appointment at the Genisu Gar of an Apple store the Genius will exchange it at no cost. Otherwise the exchange price is:

Hello, i have 2 2006 macbooks that have palmrest chips. One is black and the other is white. the lack one also has a chip in the top left corner of the screen. I have heard of people getting the replaced for free bacause of faulty construction and wear and tear. Will apple replace the palmrest fro free? What about the chip on the top left of the screen? The optical drives dont work on either too. How can you fix that? Thanks!

I see everyone with alot of different modes on the S5 camera but I have only 3 choices to choose from and no Zoom what so ever

Unlike the S3 and S4 where you could use the volume buttons to zoom in and out, I have found with the S5 you have use two fingers on the screen to zoom in and out. Spread your fingers apart to zoom in and move them together to zoom back out.

If your problem is deemed to be a hardware failure your phone will be exchanged free of charge. Apple won't fix it; Apple will EXCHANGE it.

My tip is to go to the nearest Apple Store and make a appointment with one Genius Bar agent.
Of course, they will not replace the phone for you but they will repair it if you pay for it.
The warranty does not apply on cracked screens, caused by the user.

I feel as though I am forced into repairing the iphone before I can backup the information (photos, videos, contacts). If the apple ID on the device is the same as the one on my iMac I do not understand why I have to unlock the iphone by typing in the 4 digit passcode. This is a little ******** as having the screen break seems to be the usual prpblem with the iphone, I want to be able to backup my files when I feel the obvious need to do so (eg. when it breaks)! I also believe I shouldn't have to use other apps for backing it up (which I obviously have to pay for).. I am rather angry with this issue.

Okay folkes, you were right and I was wrong.. I admit it. But I was pretty mad though when I tryed to backup the last few contacts I needed for work and couldn't do so. Worst things are when something gets broken (by me or whatever) when there is an emergency. I needed the contacts off of that phone real fast and couldn't do it, thats what got me real mad. And btw I am a Russian living in Moscow and instead of having an official Apple store we have shopes called ReStore who resell apple devices with ridiculous prices, same thing with the repairs. It is cheaper to sometimes buy a new iphone then repair an old one.. So there.. but I repaired it and now happy again with my apple device.. Also I know the itunes and icloud are free and I do back it up, this time however I couldn't use them and had to try the iphone extractor app, which is not free. There.. after a restart it works for a time, but always slow. I went to the Applestore this afternoon and the made a check and said it would be the logicboard and they would have to change it for CHF 600 and it would be ready in 10 - 15 days

There's been a problem with this all day. Seems to be a server problem - wait a day and try again, or use itunes on the computer to update, that works.

It sounds like you are trying to mirror your iPad to your TV using an Apple TV but don’t see the mirroring option. Please use the attached article for information on setting up AirPlay Mirroring.

The warranty is against manufacturing defect. It is not insurance against accidents. Apple sells Apple Care + (note the +) which does cover accidents, but it does not cover iPods.
Out-of-warranty replacement is the most likely outcome.
