If I have an iphone and an ipod, can i download same music and vids?

Hi - I have an iphone and am thinking about getting an ipod so my kids will stop taking my phone to watch videos, etc. If I buy an ipod, will i be able to download my content (purchased or otherwise) from my library to both devices? Or will itunes only let me download to one device? Thanks in advance for your help!

You did not say what os you were using.
For Windows based PC, not sure on a MAC.
Setup an extra account on your PC, i.e. one for you and one for the kids.
Store all your videos and music in a folder called MY Music but on the root of your C: drive not the default My Music under My Documents.
Install itunes on each user account and in the preferences under the Advance tab point your location of music to the folder you setup earlier.
Now add the music to itunes your self do not let itunes decide for you, always say no to itunes managing your music and opt for I will mange my music.
I have not tried this, it may not work, Windows may let you only install itunes once, so give it a go.
Another alternative is to use an external drive for all your media and use a second PC or laptop to do it.
The only thing you need to be careful of is copyright. Only have the music on one device at a time. This should be no problem as you would normally have different tastes in music and not want to listen to the same things.

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

Are you certain that the password was the only thing changed? Sounds more like a new Apple ID was created.

My 4G ipod can't play the musics and now it can't be turn on

I'm a 4G itouch user. first when I write the lyrics on my songs, it can't be played. just 3 songs that can be played, when it supposed to play the next song,it skip itself,and after the 3 songs played, it go back to the songs list,50 songs was skiped and can't be play. then when i synced my ipod, there was a text "AN OCCURED ERROR IPOD CANNOT BE SYNCED" or whatever. and today, I was using it and i just left it for a minutes,when I get back, suddenly it can't be on. I didn't do anything, it's just turned off itself. until now it's still off.

- First I would reset the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Next restore from backup
- Last, restore to factory defaults/new iPod

I downloaded Itunes Match and now I can't download the music from the cloud on my computer

When I click on the clouds by the songs no longer on my computer it says something about the apple id and not being able to download for 90 days. I need someone to help me fix this.

Apple have imposed a limit of 90 days between switching AppleIds in Match - this is to stop people attaching their mates commuters and copying a library that doesn't belong to them. The downside if like many people you have used more than one Id to purchase music you are stuffed. Apple currently do not provide a way to merge AppleIds owned by you.
If you have a small number of tunes on another id you can burn it to a CD and re-import but it is not ideal.

What problem are you having on your PC's iTunes ? If you are referring to them not showing as free then as far as I know they won't, they will only show as free on devices that are on iOS 7 that were activated after 1st September 2013

iRip is a nice little program it will get all your music, books, podcasts off your iPod without knowing a password or the iPod not sync to the iTunes library.

Can't download purchased music to video iPod

I can't download purchased music and videos to my new 30GB video iPod.
When I try to copy videos or purchased I get an error "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close" and iTunes quits after I close the dialog.
I ran the iPod Updater 2006-01-10 and Restored my iPod. I can download mp3s and a video I created in QT Pro but not purchased music or videos.
I uninstalled all previous iPodSetup installations, iTunes, QuickTime, rebooted and deleted the iTunes prefs file at:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\SC Info\SC Info.sidb
I reinstalled iPod Updater 2006-01-10 and iTunes 6.0.2 and rebooted.
The problem remains.

Changing Facetime settings on an iPod will have no affect on cellular settings on an iPhone. Something else is going on there. If she did not change any settings on the phone, then nothing she did could affect your celluar 3G.

You can sync as many iphones/ipod/ipads as you like to one computer.

You can use one Apple ID for purchasing (App Store & iTunes Store) and shared with your child whereas your child uses a different Apple ID for Game Center, e-mail, FaceTime, iMessage. Even on iCloud there you'll get an extra 5GB free.
