If I have an ipod with music on it from a friends account and i have added more to it and i want to buy a new ipod, is it possible to get the songs on this ipod to the new one?

My ipod classic broke and I want to get a new one. There are multiple computers that have been used to put music on to the ipod (through itunes of course) but Im not sure if the songs from my old ipod would transfer to a new one. Does anyone know?

They will as long as you have access to the songs or the Apple ID account used to purchased those songs.
