If i have apple care protection plan does it cover cracked screens?

if i have the apple care protection plan does it cover a cracked screen

No. The AppleCare extended warranty only doubles to time to a total of two years and extends the time of free telephone support. It still excludes accidental damage like what cases a cracked screen.

Apple's Limited Warranty http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/ for iPad excludes coverage for damage resulting from accident, disassembly, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications.

Old saying applies here most of the time......
"If it ain't broken, don't fix it"
I choose to use LP9 with Snow Leopard myself (10.6.8 and 9.1.6) for most of my commercial work simply because I find that combo very stable and provides the best overall performance for my setups here... but I am also using LPX with Mavericks as part of my client support and that works fine too although with a drop in performance due to the heavier demands made on the hardware by the newer OS X and LPX graphic routines for example..

  • My MacBook Air is not being listed under the My Products tab after adding the Apple Care Protection Plan

I purchased my MacBook Air from US in December 2013, my company paid for it, so it got listed under their account earlier. So I asked them to remove it from there account and then I added it back to my profile in January 2014. Then it was listed under My Products tab in the My Support Profile page. Later I bought Apple Care Protection Plan for this MBA, and registered that plan with my MBA's serial number and soon after that, MBA vanished from My Products. I thought it might take some time for it to get listed back again after adding the protection plan, but it didn't appeared for quite a long time and so now I am opening this support ticket.
Now whenever I try to add my MBA again by clicking Register New Product, I am getting "According to our records, this serial number is registered to another Apple ID. If you have more than one Apple ID, log in to My Support Profile with that Apple ID to see your other registered products. Not sure if you have another Apple ID?" How can I get my MBA back into my profile?

AppleCare does not cover accidental damage, but try taking it to an Apple Store and see what they say!

  • Apple care protection plan Q

Okay..I have that 1 year apple care protection plan that came with the ipod (the warranty)...I'm curious, what would they do in a case where my screen does not respond to being touched, and doesn't do anything...Would they replace it w/ a nw G1 or G2 ipod touch or what?

iPods come with a one year warranty.
If it needs repair or a new battery, it's free within the 1st 6 months. 6 months to a year, it's ~$59 for shipping.
Incidentally, the Applecare Protection Plan for the touch is $59 and extends the warranty to 2 years. This also covers shipping costs.

  • Apple Care Protection Plan Help!!!

Okay, so I bought my Macbook Pro just over a year ago and with it I bought the Apple Care Protection Plan. And only NOW do I realise you have to ACTIVATE it, but apparently it's too late as on the website it says you have to purhcase it within the a year or purchase. So what do I do??? Does this mean I wasted 500 bucks on ACP when I can't even activate it? Should I phone apple up and ask them about it. I do have a receipt saying that I bought it WITH the macbook pro if that helps...

I would suggest you give Apple a call. Did you purchase your MacBook Pro from Apple or someone else? At least if you purchased it from Apple they would have a record of the transaction... maybe just a little plus over if you purchased it elsewhere... even if you have the receipt. It certainly can't hurt to give them a call and ask. I would imagine that it's not uncommon for people to purchase AppleCare and not know that it needs to be activated. Just let us know how you make out in case someone else encounters the same thing.

  • Apple care protection plan country specific?

    Hi
Is the apple care protection plan (apple care plus) country specific?
can i buy iphone in one country and the apple care protection plan in another as I will be moving there?

Apple is said by other's experience to try to honor its warranty world wide in the countries in which Apple has an official presence. Apple does not have Authorized venders and service providers in every country.
Folks report the best warranty service with the GSM iOS devices. The CDMA devices are country/cellular provider specific and folks report that they are instructed to return them to the country of purchase for warranty service. For example, folks bought gray market Verizon iOS devices in Hong Kong and report that when they needed warranty service, Apple in Hong Kong told them that the Verizon devices could only receive warranty service in the US because Apple does not sell the Verizon model in any other country.

  • Apple Care Protection Plan registration

Well, I didn't see a topic for this so I'm posting it in here. I tried registering my apple care protection plan and it says that my agreement number is invalid. I wondered if I typed it in wrong but I didn't AND my sister has the same problem with her macbook plan. My sisters says that the number has already been taken but how can that be if she payed the 250 bucks for it? I'm rather frustrated right now. Any suggestions?

I also have a question about AppleCare Protection Plan...
When I purchased my Mac at an Apple store, I bought AppleCare for it, and it said "Auto Enroll". Does that mean I have to register still? Because I put the cd from the box in my computer and there wasn't a paper included that had my registration information on it...
You can check to see if an APP was enrolled to protect your particular Mac:
Click on the Support link at the top of any Apple page and scroll down towards the bottom of the page. At the bottom right is a section called Services & Programs. Click on the "Check My Warranty and Repair Options" link in that section. On the next page enter your Mac's serial number. (You can find that quickly by clicking on the Apple menu, selecting About This Mac, and then clicking on the "More Info" button in the About This Mac window. That opens System Profiler, which has the serial number in the Hardware section.)
This doesn't provide your APP enrollment number, and you should have that along with supporting paperwork, so calling AppleCare is still a good idea if you didn't receive that paperwork.

  • Apple Care+ for iPhone 5S & Apple Care Protection plan for MacBook

    Hello,
I have a question regarding the apple care+ for iPhone and the Apple Care Protection plan for MacBook pro.
Since I will soon be in Hong Kong, I intend to buy the iPhone 5S due to great savings compared to my come country.
However, I have a question regarding the warranty which confuses me a bit.
    1) If I buy the iPhone 5S and the Apple care+, does that mean I will be covered world wide?
I am from Denmark, and the applecare is currently not available from the Danish apple store. but does this imply that I will not be covered when I am in Denmark, in case of an incident?
If not, what can one do? Should one ship it to an apple repair somewhere in a European country that is covered by the Applecare protection plan for iPhone?
    2) And the same question goes for the AppleCare Protection Plan for MacBook - will a MacBook with the protection plan bought from Hong Kong, and imported to Denmark, be covered world wide, or what limitations does it have?
I was trying to look through the terms and conditions on the Hong Kong website, however, it does seem rather intransparent some times.
    3) Finally, I have a question about purchasing Apple equipment from the physical Apple store in Hong Kong. As I am a student, I would of course like to have the student prices - should there be any problems getting this price from the physical apple store, or can one only get it from online purchases? Is a valid student ID sufficient proof of student status?
    Regards,
    Michael

    Start here:
    Apple - Support - AppleCare+ - iPhone
    Apple - Support - AppleCare
From each of those sites you should be able to discover what if any differences may prevail depending upon the country of purchase.
Apple's warranties may not be honored outside of the country where the equipment was purchased. I have no way of knowing whether hardware purchased in Hong Kong will have a warranty honored in Denmark.
If you have a valid student ID then the academic discount should be honored in the Hong Kong Apple Store.

  • Activating my macbook pro 13" Apple Care protection plan

I purchased my macbook pro 13" in February 2011 from JBHIFI. I have not been using my laptop much and only recently opened up the original box for the laptop and found the apple care protection plan I had purchased with it, however not activated.
    And so, I've tried activating it online providing registration & serial numbers, however it says the following when I try and activate it;
"We apologize for any inconvenience, but registration for this product requires additional documentation. Please submit your proof of purchasefor review by Apple. If your registration is accepted, your product will be covered."
    - I click submit your proof of purchase
    - which then asks me "Please provide your mailing address and describe the reason for your submission."
After that it then asks me to provide the following information...
Gather your sales receipt (with the receipt number, product description, original date of purchase, and reseller details).
Gather the documentation that includes the agreement number for your AppleCare product, if applicable.
Tell us how you want to send your proof of purchase.
The problem is, i NO longer have the receipt, and so can not pass this stage. Why is the registration process being difficult for me?
If it helps, I tried registering over and over, not realising I had been pressing 1 key wrong (about 4 times).
    Help would be appreciated, thanks.

ah... I'll have to wait till tomorrow... they are closed today.

  • Explain me about Apple care protection plan validity and coverage in india

Explain me about Apple care protection plan validity and coverage in india

From what I have read in the past, because India has no formal Apple stores and relies on a  re-seller system that hardly justifies the name, getting warranty service is difficult.   Those who sell Apple products tend only to service the products they have sold.    If you import a Mac, for example, the value of the international warranty appears to be at the whim of these re-sellers and I have seen many examples where they simply delay any service almost indefinitely.   All you can do is make a nuisance of yourself with Apple's head office and hope they will put pressure on these errant sellers.
The problem, it appears, is that the Indian government will not allow foreign companies to hold a controlling interest (or more than 50 %) of the shares ... as a result, I read, Apple will not open their own stores.

  • Lost Apple Care Protection Plan

hello, I just purchased my macbook pro just a couple of weeks ago and recently received my apple care protection plan just a couple of days ago. In the midst of packing for college, I have lost all the information contained in the plan package mailed to me. I was wondering if Apple can send me another one. If so, how can I obtain another package of the protection plan containing the CD and other valuable information?
    Thank you in advance,

if you call them and explain your situation, i'm sure they'll send you another one. however, even without your physical applecare package, apple already has a record of your applecare plan. the applecare number is 1-800-275-2273.
also, goto the apple support site and on the bottom righthand side, you can enter your macbook serial number and it will tell you how many days you are covered under applecare.
so in conclusion, you really don't need the physical proof of the applecare since they already have a record of it.
