If I have apps like iwork- pages, numbers downloaded to my ipad do I have to buy the apps again to get them on my iMac? My iMac has the 08 version, my iPad the 09. I am trying to reconcile.

Can I transfer apps from my iPad to my iMac- specifically I have iworks 09 on the pad, but 08 on the mac- I can't transfer documents to my iMac. Do I have to buy another copy for my mac or should i be able to use the app I purchased on the iPad? Please advise.

You will have to purchase them for the Mac - the two operating systems are totally different and what works on an iDevice will not work on a Mac.

You don't. It's only free when you activate a NEW iOS device. The previous owner qualified for the free apps. You do not.

iWork has got a version for Mac and another for iOS. You have purchased iWork for Mac, so you can install it for free in all your Macs, but you haven't purchased iWork for iOS.
You have to purchase iWork because the iPhone and iPad use a different operating system than the Mac and there are different versions

You do have to pay, but you're not paying again. iWork apps for OS X are not the same as the iOS versions.

If you have iWork 09, then the latest version should be available for free in the Mac App Store. If you have the new version on your iPad, then you'll need the new version on your Mac as well. The whole point of the latest version is that you can access and edit your files equally on iPad/iPhone, Mac, and also through the iCloud website.

All you need to do is run Software Update to make sure you have the iWork 9.1 update. It will update your existing installation of the three applications. If you're not running the latest versions & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. Even if you think you'll never need all three of the applications, you cannot delete any. They must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.

You can use the File Sharing feature at the bottom of the iTunes Apps pane when you connect to iTunes. Transfer the documents to your computer, and from there to your iPhone.

Depending on why it's been disabled you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your phone/iPad then try logging out of your account on the phone/iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it

Yes, the Mac Pages app is different than the iOS Pages app.
Once you purchase Pages for iPad you can then use it on all your iOS devices (iPhone, iPod) but not on your Mac and vice versa.

You need more storage on your iPad, however, it can't be increased. iCloud storage is ecternal to the iPad and is used for backup.
You need to delete some item on the iPad.
How much space is used by your Other? You may be able to reduce.

With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. First, the answer to your question is yes, it IS possible to install Windows in Parallels without a disc, using an .iso image file.

The primary difference between a Boot Camp installation and a Parallels installation is that in the Boot Camp installation, you're installing Windows into a separate partition on your internal mass storage device (hard drive or SSD) and then rebooting your Mac directly into Windows.
In Parallels, you're always running OS X on the Mac and Parallels is running a Windows virtual machine.
Not to get too technical here, but it is also possible for Parallels to run an installed Windows Boot Camp partition as a virtual machine. If you're evaluating system performance with a trial copy, that might be the way to go, because you only have to install Windows once on Boot Camp as a dual-boot system, then install Parallels Desktop and run the Boot Camp partition as the virtual machine.
There is a performance difference between the two, with the Boot Camp Windows installation being faster, but without the convenience of running both Mac and Windows applications simultaneously offered by Parallels. Sometimes that convenience outweighs a performance hit.
I can't give you more Mavericks and Parallels 9 specifics, because I'm currently running Windows 7 with Parallels 7 on OS X 10.8.5. Parallels 7 will not run on OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
I've been using Parallels (to run a few old rarely-used WIndows applications with features that would require a steep learning curve and major expense to purchase and learn a similar Mac app) occasionally since Parallels 3 and Windows XP. With each new release of OS X, each new release of Parallels, and each new Windows release, there are ALWAYS 'early adopter' bugs that get worked out over time.
