No. If you delete them from your phone, they will also be deleted from iCloud. You can't really use iCloud to free up space on your phone because anything you put in iCloud will also be on your phone (except your backup). If you want to be able to access your photos on the web without storing them on your phone, upload them to a service that is designed for that (Flikr, Smugmug, etc.).

Ok, so I have iCoud enabled on my iPod Touch, and I want to delete all my apps from iTunes without them deleting from my iPod, but iTunes says this:

P.S.- When I get my iPhone next month, will all apps and "stuff" be there if I delete all the apps from iTunes and I turn off atomatic downloads to?No. The iCloud storage feature is only for mobile devices. If you need more space get an external HD formatted OS X Extended (journaled) and drag your iPhoto Library to it. Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and select the library on the EHD to open. Once you've confirmed that the library is OK and working properly you can delete the library from your boot driver.
However, if you don't have a backup strategy in place you should consider doing so as soon as possible. A second EHD that's about 2X the size of your boot and first EHD is needed so you can use Time Machine to make hourly backups. Remember there's only 2 type of hard drives: 1 - those that have crashed and 2 - those that will. -

If the iPad is on IOS 7, you will need the previous owner's Apple ID and Password to:
1. Turn off Find My iPhone
2. Erase device

When I click on Filed(in upper left hand corner of screen) a drop down box appears which includes several choices including Open File. When I click on Open File it shows many old downloads which I don't want or need to save. I can delete them individually but there are many many of them. Can someone give me guidance on how to deleter them all at one time. Thanks my friends.
hello cardavfl, i think in the open file dialog in the windows file picker you only can select one item at a time.
it would be better to look at the top of the file dialog ("look in:") where this folder is located on your harddrive & then use windows explorer & go to this path - then you can press ctrl+a to select all items at once (or use the mouse to select them all) and to delete them ... -
Have purchased extra storage for my iPod touch but iPod is still saying not enough storage available to download games. When I go into cloud it is saying I have 9.6GB storage. Cannot get it to back up to cloud either. Help!
The problem could be that you don't have enough storage on the device itself, not on iCloud. Go to Settings>General>Usage to see how much "Storage" you have available on the device. Farther down the list is the available storage on iCloud.
Also check:
Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage; there, tap the device you need info on and the resulting screen lists Backup Options with which apps store data on iCloud as well.
A device needs many MB of storage in order to perform a backup to iCloud.

How can I delete EVERY THING off my Mac and have it like new?
There are sites that I've viewed and programs I have downloaded that I NEED to delete completely from my computer!! Ie: Friends telling me that a program is free and has no viruses, but it does! Sites forwarded that are supposed sfw, but are not!!
I would like to DELETE EVERY THING off the computer and have it be like new.
I remember on my Dell PC if I hit f8 or f11 (can't remember which one) a screen would appear and if I chose option "Dell Factory Image Restore" it would DELETE EVERY THING off of the computer and have it like new - as if you just got it from Dell.
Is there anything like that for Macs?
Whether it be some where on the computer already?
Or if it's with the CDs that came with the Mac?

Boot from the software install DVD and do an "erase and install" when prompted. -

Hi!
I have just tried to backup and update my iphone to iOS 5.1. The backup seems to have worked but when it came to restoring the iphone, I think the hard disk ran out of space and so it failed. I saw this and so I freed up around 3Gb of disk space and I tried it again. It again failed. Again I noticed that there was no space left on the hard disk. I assumed that to continue the restore it probably won't need that much more space (as it had already done most of the work) so I freed up a few more Gb.
Again it failed. When it fails, itunes leaves the partially restored elements on my hard disk meaning that my 'Apple Computer' folder is now 28Gb!! I cannot afford to delete anything else from the hard disk. I am using a PC by the way. I have noticed that in the folder 'Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup' has 5 folders in it which is the same amount that I tried to restore the iphone (before the last restore attempt there were 4 folders). These folders amount to 20Gb. From this I am assuming that the actual backup that I made is infact in 'Apple Computer\iTunes\Mobile Backups'.
Can I delete the folders in 'MobileSync\Backup'? This would free up 20Gb of disk space giving me enough to properly restore (in theory!).

Delete iOS backups this way: iTunes>Preferences>Devices...select the backup/backups...hit delete. Do not mess with your backup folder. -

Purchasing additional storage only applies to iCloud, not to the phone itself. You cannot purchase additional storage for the phone, only purchase a larger capacity phone. If you have deleted all of the content that you can, then that is all of the space that you have. What is it exactly that you are trying to do? Does this have to do with space for performing an OTA update of the iOS?

Multiple Apple ID's and iCloud (purchased extra storage)
My mom and dad want different iCloud accounts (so the contacts etc are not merged) They have bought the extra 20GB of iCloud storage for my Mom's phone. Here's the setup and apple ID's... My question is how to split these and keep the extra iCloud storage on my mom's phone.

iCloud extra storage ID: [email protected]
I want to change Mom's iPhone to: [email protected]
and change the extra iCloud storage to: [email protected]

I'm taking a risk here and assuming that when you say "iPad ID" and "iPhone ID" you are referring to the iCloud ID on the mentioned device, right?
If so,
the extra storage was purchased with your dad's iCloud account and that's where it stays.
Dad's iCloud ID can stay on his iPad, along with his extra storage.
Go to Settings->iCloud and delete Dad's iCloud ID from Mom's phone.
Log in to iCloud on Mom's phone with Mom's iCloud ID.
(Does she already have this iCloud ID? If not, it may be taken by someone else and she would have to create a new one for her.)
You cannot move the extra storage to Mom's iCloud ID. MAYBE, just MAYBE iTunes can do it, but I seriously doubt it. Contact them for assistance. (apple.com/support/itunes and select Contact iTunes)
I don't fully understand the need to purchase extra storage for just one device. Now, if you had multiple iOS devices (like for your business), then I can see it. I back up a 32g iPad and a 16g phone using less than half of 1G of my iCloud storage.
