Have you checked to see whether the App Store appis hidden via Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps being set 'on' ?

So there are two admin accounts on my imac, and one day i logged into the other persons account, and all my downloads were showing up in their folder, how do i seperate the two, so that what i download on the mac from my account is only visible on my account?? You mean Macintosh HD, i.e., your boot directory? That is one of the place (actually a little deeper in there) that I was alluding to about a folder common to all accounts. But that is not the default and the only way that could happen is if you changed the default from ~/Downloads.
You never said what browser you are using. I'll assume it is Safari. Open Safari's preferences, general tab, and look at the "Safe download files to". Unless you have other reasons to place elsewhere set to Downloads in your home directory. Given what you are describing it must not be currently set there and you must have changed it sometime in the past (maybe accidentially).
If you are not using Safari every other browser has a similar preference (e.g.., FireFox preferences, general, save files to).

I have a similar problem. When i upgrade the last os6 software the wifi box now is always in grey color and i cannot switched on to connect wifi. I have been trying different ways to solve this problems including a "reset all settings" and "reset network setting" but nothing happens.
Do you have any idea abt this problem which started on os6 upgrade.?

You can go into settings and turn sharing off in the programs on the device you don't want to share too.

By "game center account", do you mean Apple ID?
If so, you can change it.
1. Tap settings and navigate to iTunes and App Stores
2. Tap "Apple ID" and then tap "Sign Out"
3. Log in with a different ID.

So I had an iPod touch and everything with it is fine. I just bought a second one for my daughter...exactly the same as my iPod. Macs can read Windows formatting so you should have no problem using your iPod with your Macbook. One proviso is that up until now Apple has only fully supported using the iPod shuffle in FAT32 format on Mac (unless the range has been expanded to include the iPhone and the iPod Touch which I've no experience of). What this means effectively is that if you need to apply a firmware update for your iPod and you wanted to maintain the Windows format you would have to do it on a PC. If you were to try and update a Windows based iPod on a Mac it would be restored and reformatted to the Mac file system and have the Mac firmware installed.
If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod to a computer
The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve music files and playlists from your iPod. Keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

With the Nanos, you should have no problem lending them loaded with audiobooks from Librivox, etc.
As for the iPod Touches, I'm not sure the question is whether you should allow patrons to set up the device for personal accounts, but whether you can prevent them from doing so. Prepare to to a factory restore every time one is returned.
