My Ipod touch got stolen a week after i got it so i had no way of adding any tracking apps to it. I would like to know if there is any way possible for me to track my Ipod with just the serial number.

No. The SN will only allow you to indenify the iPod as yours if it is recovered.
Apple will not help
Change the passwards for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police.

If the FindMyiPod feature is alreay tuned on and wifi is on nd the theater has free wifi and automatically connect you can go to icloud.com and fnd its general location and have it make a sound, send it a message and wipe it. However, that feature can be defeated by turning the iPod off or restoring the iPod.

IF she set up find ny ipod on the ipod itself BEFORE it was lost, AND it is on, AND it is connected to wi-fi, then she may be able to get an approximate street address using the find my ipod service.

The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone/iPod Touch is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords, especially your Apple ID/iCloud password NOW!
If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone.
If locked with a passcode, and running iOS 7.0, then phone cannot be activated or the passcode removed without knowing your Apple iD/Password. It will be nothing but a useless paperweight.
If not running iOS 7.0, the phone can be forced into recovery mode & restored.

Sorry for your loss. Basically when it comes to stolen / lost units what we can do is flag your unit as stolen. If you file a police report with the local authorities, you can then call sony technical support, fax in the police report and we will log your unit stolen in our file. If someone happened to send it in for service etc we can recover it that way.

Hey there is one way but ur itouch has to be ios5 and must have i cloud.
if u have it go to www.icloud.com and enter your icloud email and password then go to find my iphone.
if the user is connected to the internet it will track or it will say offline then you can even lock your ipod touch.
