When I made Google Chrome my default browser, the appearance of my desktop Icons was (nearly) completely changed. Will I experience this if I make Firefox my default browser? I could just go ahead and try Firefox as my default browser and see what happens, but I am running Mozilla Fences and have spent a lot of time getting the appearance of the desktop icons just the way I want them to be.

Firefox shouldn't change the icon of anything except files you set for it to open as deafult. For example, if you have an HTML file on your desktop and set Firefox to open it by default, it will change the icon to Firefox.

Well, since you've had the same problem, with three different phones, that all use different size sim cards, it seems pretty obvious the problem is with your carrier/coverage & nothing to do with your phone or sim card.

You can restore from a backup.

New download won't open links, nor will it go to web addresses typed into address bar. Never had this problem with previous version.

I just upgraded to the newest version of Firefox. In this new version it sometimes won't open a link even in a search engine such ask Yahoo. It also won't ever go to an address I type into the web address bar. I have never ever had this problem with a web browser so I know it's not me. I've never had this problem with Firefox before either. Please fix this bug.

When I plug in my ear pod, my 6th generation ipod will play for 60 sec then shut off. If i restart it will play for another 60 sec. Has anyone had this problem?

Has anyone had this problem? With earbuds connected the ipod keeps turning itself off. I then have to turn it on and it will play for another 60 sec and shut off.

Make sure the plug is fully inserted into the iPod. There will be a noticeable click, and you may need to push harder than expected.

Have just installed the latest Firefox update (4.01) and since doing so some Face book games such as Zooma are slow and have a drag effect...I never had this problem with 3.6...any suggestions welcome

Well, that's pretty made my decision final. I'm ditching firefox for good. The only reason I was willing to use it at all, was because of Ad block. I already tried uninstalling, disabling add ons, like I mentioned previously. The whole proceeding with Firefox safe mode thing sounds like way too much trouble than it's worth. Since I already have Safari Browser, that came with my Macbook, and I need Chrome Browser for using Blogger, I'm uninstalling Firefox and I'll just use those two. Chrome Browser annoys me enough of the time that I don't want to use it as my primary browser. Safari is fairly good though, especially if I only use it occasionally, that means if runs very quickly. Thanks for the advice. It's too bad. When I started using Firefox about 4 years ago, I loved it. Now it drives me absolutely crazy. When placing icons on the menu bar, I can not increase size to large icons. I can make icons larger when putting icons on other bars below menu bar. Never had this problem with any earlier version of FF

This happens with all icon themes including default. I like having the large icons on the menu bar so hopefully this can be fixed.

Since installing Firefox 4 I can't open my emails (Talk Talk). THey tell me it's an issue with Firefox 4. I've not had this problem with earlier versions. Help!

When I log in to my email account, I get the message "You have undefined emails " and I can't login to my inbox. This didn't happen until I installed Firefox 4.

sudo apt-get --purge remove adobe-flashplugin flashplugin-nonfree; sudo apt-get --purge autoremove; sudo apt-get clean; sudo apt-get upgrade; sudo apt-get --purge autoremove; sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree
Now I have the "flashplugin-nonfree" v. 10.01.218+really9.0.283.0ubuntu1 and it still doesn't work for the Facebook plugin. I get the notice it has crashed and needs to be updated. I also get a notice to update on the plugins page under tools --> addons. When I try that, it goes to the Adobe Web site, which I have seen on Ubuntu support sites that I do not want to upgrade from there.
Does anybody have an answer to this?

Why am I not able to type in new URLs in the location bar either in my current tab or any new tab in the middle of my session? I've never had this problem with any other version of Firefox.

For example, I had several tabs open in Firefox 4 just now. For no apparent reason, when I opened a fifth tab, I couldn't click on the location bar or type anything into it even with repeated attempts. I either have to start Firefox again or try going back to a tab that is already open with a page loaded and type into the location bar there. That worked for me to be able to get to this website. This is very frustrating and seriously hampering my ability to use Firefox--which I have previously always been impressed with. I have a 2 year old Dell Optiplex 755 running Windows Vista.

Security issues since ive used firefox ive had unauthorized transactions account 2 times. Ive never had this problem with IE 8 i hate IE8 because its so slow thats why i used firefox but now im just going to half to suffer through IE8

This is unlikely to be a problem related to Firefox unless you downloaded a fake copy. Can you link to where you downloaded your firefox from?
