If I place my sim card....

Into my husbands iphone will I then be able to back my data?  My phone is in recovery mode at the moment and I haven't backdated in a very long time and do not want to lose current contacts etc... Please help!

So there is nothing that can be done now that my iphone is in recovery mode? All data will be lost except data from my last itunes update?
I was attempting to download the iso6 and my battery wasn't over 50% so it said it couldn't be done and then my phone stopped working and the white apple just flashes:(

  • MacBook Pro with SIM-Card.

MacBook Pro: How can I connect to my internet provider without WLAN? I have a SIM-Card.

Just after having the communication in January in this forum I solved the problem quite easily with an adapter with the name D-Link (3G HSUPA USB ADAPTER DWM-156). I place the SIM card in this adapter and stick the adapter in the USB-socket and the installed SW (delivered in package) starts. The SW lets me manage the connection and offers some usefull statistical data.
It really doesn't make sense that the Macbook doesn't have a drawer like iPhone or iPad to use the SIM card.

  • 2 SIM cards in one Nokia phone?

Hi there, I'm from Portugal, and recently, I have met a girl who had a Nokia Mobile Phone where she could place 2 SIM cards. I´ve tried to find it in nokia's site but I didn't found it. Can you tell which model is it?
(sorry if this isn't the right place to ask, but I didn't know where was it)
    Mrmalaquias

No. It isn't a genuine Nokia. There's no such thing as a Nokia N99i. The only touch-screen phones released to date are the 7710, the 5800 XpressMusic and the N97.
As stated above, Nokia have yet to produce a dual-SIM phone.

I have replaced my old phone but, I want to do a factory reset and am not getting to menu to get in to privacy to do the function do I need to place my sim card to get this done ? please help !!!

journeyman46, we can certainly help out with that! You should not need a SIM card within the device in order to reset it to factory defaults, but we can certainly take a closer look to be sure. What model of device do you have?

What if I do not have the original SIM card and am no longer have an activated iphone?

Is the phone locked to a carrier?  If it is not locked you should be able to activate it with any SIM and not necessarily an active sim.
USING AN IPHONE AS AN IPOD
Restore your phone as new.  Place a SIM card into the phone and connect it your computer with iTunes open and follow the activation assistant to activate the iphone.  Once the iphone have been activated remove the SIM card and turn on imessage in settings/messages.  Only your Apple ID should appear in the “You can be reached by imessage at” and “Start new conversation from” fields.  Read the following article for help http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3406

  • 3GS sim card on 4

I would like to use the same 3GS sim card on a new iphone 4.  I noticed the sim card doesn't fit the iphone 4.  Any ideas?

My brother and sister when they got the 4 had their sim cards cut at the AT&T store. He said it looked like a stapler. open it up and place the sim card and push down. Now when the exwife got hers I just traced and cut it with an exacto.
choice 1-go to AT&T and see if they will set you up with a new micro sim. if not
Choice 2-See if they will cut it. if not
choice 3-be careful and cut it yourself.

  • Sim Card Slot.!  Droid Maxx or Droid Ultra..

I'm looking at this phone as a Second alternative)  I've been looking at the Moto X really hard but i wouldn't mind this phone as an alternative to go with but I have a Question to ask and that is the Sim Card Slot it's also were the Volume Toggle is and that kind of concerns me a bit of Wearing out it, From what I can see and I'm limited on that!  the Sim holder look's to place the Sim Card a ways in the phone not right at the edge but I'm still wonder if moving the Volume Toggle will cause looseness or Play in the Card..
I'm asking Forum Members and Verizon Employees that own this phone and have had some time carrying it)  Have you seen any issues at all if you have please post as this will make a Decision for me in purchasing the phone.. Thanks for your Time.. b33

  • Iphone 4 SIM Card-what can be done with it?

Last night I began taking up my 13 year old son's Iphone 4 before bed so that he will not be up on the phone all night.  I discovered he removed the SIM card when he handed it over.  I asked him why he did this and he did not give an answer.  My first conclusion was that he wanted to place the SIM card into his Iphone 3G, but I've read that it does not fit.  My other guess is that he may receive text messages or app alerts all through the night and wanted to keep it from me.  Does anyone else have any ideas as to he could gain or be hiding by doing this?

The only reasons I can think of that the child removed the SIM are 1) he didn't realize that the SIM in an iPhone 4 doesn't by default fit in an iPhone; 2) he has an adapter so that he can use the micro-SIM in an iPhone 3; such adapters are readily available, or 3) he doesn't want you to be able to use the iPhone and perhaps get his text messages.
I'd demand the SIM from him as well as both iPhones if it were me, though of course that's your call.
    Regards.

  • I removed my battery in an attempt to insert a SIM card, obviously without knowing how to insert the SIM card. I put the battery back into place and it was already charged 100%, but it's stuck in recovery mode. I've already restored it, but it won't boot.

I was trying to insert a SIM card into my iPhone 4 without actually knowing how to do so. I assumed that I was to remove the back of the phone and find a slot for it near the battery. I removed the battery in an attempt to find a SIM slot, and was obviously unsuccessful. I put the battery back into place and screwed the phone back plate back on. Note: the battery was fully charged and the iPhone was working perfectly fine before. After screwing the iPhone back into place properly, I thought, I attempted to cut the phone on and it would not do so. I put it back on the charger, and the screen came up that says "Connect to iTunes". I obviously couldn't do so if its plugged into the wall. I plugged into the computer, connected it to iTunes, went through the Recovery mode process, and it still won't turn on. The computer says that the iPhone is in Recovery mode, but iTunes can't do anything because it has already been restored. When I disconnect it from the computer, I hold all buttons in all possible combinations, but it won't turn on at all. When I plug it into the wall, it again says to connect to iTunes. I don't know if I damaged the battery or any part within the iPhone, but I was sensitive in my approach to removing the battery and putting it back in, and there is no visible damage whatsoever. I am extremely frustrated and in desperate need of Apple-Pro help.

do you have a cdma iphone 4? becauase cdma iphones dont have a sim card slot... the providers that use cdma technology here in the us would be verizion, sprint, criket, ect... if you want to use your iphone 4 on att or tmobile (gsm carriers). then you would need a gsm iphone 4 (has sim card slot). a gsm iphone 4 is different than a cdma iphone 4 (they have different radio chips). maby you missed the sim card slot? sim card slot would be on the side of the phone.. never inside (unless it has a removable back cover like the galaxy s3 or s4), if you dont see a sim card slot on the side of the phone than you have a cmda iphone 4. can you tell me what carrier you are trying to use?

I'm traveling to Europe (France and Lithuania) with my iPhone 5s.  I would like to buy a local SIM card for use while in each country. Some sources (Verizon phone support) say this is as easy as buying the card and inserting in place in the slot. Others (Apple Genius) say I must completely restore the iPhone if I replace the sim card. Still others say I cannot use a local sim card. Can you help me find the correct information? Thanks for your help.

That's a wonderful question, ssmiley67. The iPhone 5s comes unlock for international use. Many of our LTE devices are unlocked for international purposes and work upon inserting the international SIM in the device.
