If I press Delete my iCloud account will it delete everything off my phone?

I have an iCloud username from like 5 years ago. It was never verified. But my phone keeps tryiing to make it THE iCloud account to use. So I want to switch it over to my current apple ID. So If I press"Delete Account" Is that going to wipe my phone, or enable me to put a new Apple ID on?

If you delete the iCloud account from the iPod yo will be offered the option to retain the data on the iPod. The data is Contact, Calendars and other information listed in Settings>iCod. It does not effect the apps and music and other things on the iPod. For more info see:

Sadly, it deleted my whole calendar, even tho I only used it on the laptop. I am sure I will be missing documents, music, etc. I have been using Macs since 1991 and this incident just *****! I avoided this because I thought this would happen. I hate to update for this same reason.

It will only delete the backup from iCloud. It won't delete anything from your phone.

I have 100's of contacts in my iPhone from my Sprint account.
When iCloud happened, additional contacts came into my iPhone from my old Mac Mail address book, which Apple did it without asking.
Now I have a lot of duplicate contacts - many of which have different name configurations.
So, question:
If I delete my iCloud account (I'm switching to Gmail), will ALL the contacts be deleted as well, even the ones I had from my Sprint account?

If you use an IMAP connection, the folders you see are just a mirror of what's on the server. Do not delete your account until you copy all the messages from the IMAP folders into (new) Local Folders. Even then, I would be a little nervous. You may want to wait for a Thunderbird expert to offer more suggestions.

If your current account ID is an updated version of this older ID, try the steps in this article in order to delete the existing account: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud. The last one (change your ID temporarily) will usually work.
If your current account ID is an entirely new ID that was never previously associated with the old email address, contact the Apple account security team for assistance changing the password for the old ID: Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security.

I Deleted my icloud account and then deleted a game for space I then downloaded it again and all data was lost but I have an itunes backup on my pc before all data was deleted can I restore my ipad to that date and get my data back the game is deerhunter

So on Deer Hunter 2014 I had all my data but before that I changed my apple id email so I deleted my old icloud and logged in again. So after that I deleted Deer Hunter 2014 for some temporary space and then redownloaded it again, all my data was gone and I was back to the beggining but before this incident I backed up my Ipad on itunes on my pc. Can I use this backup to restore my data to that point in time if not is there a way I can (I did not purchase anything in the game so I cant restore purchases).

Deleting the iCloud account from your phone only deletes the account and any data you are syncing with the account (that is, any data that is set to On in Settings>iCloud). However, when you delete the account you are prompted about what to do with the iCloud data. If you want to keep it on your phone, be sure to choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Also, be sure to save any photo stream photos that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else before deleting the account. To do this, open the photo stream album, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
Deleting the account will not touch any other data on your phone (music, apps, etc.).

When you go to delete the account before it finishes it will ask you if you want to keep the info on this device. You would just tap that and you should be fine.
