You will need to do apps and books separately. Apple suggests using separate Apple IDs for them. There are far more regulations involved with books than with apps. The short answer to your question is a qualified yes, with more caveats for books than for apps.

Will siri be available in all countries on 4s? Especially Switzerland.

On the swiss Homepage of Apple siri is not even mentioned.
So I would like to know, if it will be available, just in other languages. Because Swissgerman will likely never be included, but we could speak English, French or normal German.

As of now it is only for the iPhone 4S. and iPhone 4 and earlier models will not get it. the previous models can not handle that because it requires a A5 chip to work, and iphone 4 does not have a built in chip that Siri requires to have.

My MacBook Pro was restored recently at the Apple Store. Now I can't sync my iPod Classic to iTunes. I want to load all music and videos from my iPod back onto iTunes. It tells me that everything form my other libraries will be erased....

Now I can't add all my files from my Ipod back to my itunes. I get a message telling me that all my files on my Ipod will be deleted and synced with another Itunes library. Since the restore, I now have a new library with about 25 new songs, but nothing from before which is still on my Ipod. Please help me. Everything I've found by Google isn't much help.....

Your iPod is designed to sync with only one iTunes library at a time. It will recognize the iTunes library on the PC as a new library. If you sync the iPod with this new library, all content will be erased from the iPod and replaced with what is in the new library. So what you will want to do is copy everything from the iPod to your new iTunes library on your PC first.

Hi,
I have a doubt on the future Creative Cloud version of Lightroom 4.
As I can see from the italian version of Adobe website, LR4 is not in the list of applications for Creative Cloud, it's not even mentioned in the list of future products (like it is in US website). So my doubt is: will LR4 be included for every subscriber of CC service all over the world, or it will be only for some countries?

my question was probably not completely clear. I know LR4 is still not included in CC, I know the tech specs for supported languages,what I need to know is: will LR4 be included as a free download for all CC subscribers, in all countries or it will be available in some specific markets? The question is suggested by a different CC list of applications: in US website it is explicitly mentioned LR4 will be soon available,in italian website it is not listed at all...

ITunes will not load suddenly "the disk cannot be read from or written to"

Something happened in the last couple of weeks that has crippled our devices and rendered itunes useless as well as drastically compromising the processor in our laptop. Prior to that I had been running iTunes 10 (version unknown) strictly with my iphone 4 with no issues at all.
At one point my husband plugged in his ipod touch to charge (not sync). He got an error message that the device was not recognized and he closed out itunes and continued to charge the ipod. Upon my next attempt to sync my iphone, iTunes did not open upon plugging in my phone. I then disconnected the phone and tried to open it by double clicking the icon and received this error message:
(paraphrased: itunes cannot open)
"the disk cannot be read from or written to".
The disk apparently in reference is the hard drive of our laptop as the iphone was not plugged in at that point. I have tried many complete uninstalls of itunes and reinstalls of version 10.2.1 64 bit to no avail, each time I attempt to open iTunes I get the same error message. Also beginning at this time our laptop started hanging up on startup, it now takes anywhere from 15 minutes to 1/2 hour to startup. When iTunes is installed I did remove it from starting with the startup programs and this has not had any effect. I have run full virus and malware scans and no problems were found. It was ridiculously hard to uninstall the program(s) and I noted the incons did not appear as "installed" programs- they always had int "in the box" icon. Please help, this is driving me nuts, we cannot use itunes or sync either of our devices at this point and now our laptop as a whole performs like crap (everything but itunes works but it gets hung up and runs sluggishly now).
I have no idea if this is one of those notorious version 10.0 problems, we have a second nearly identical laptop (Acer Aspire 5336 running Win 7 64 bit and itunes 10.2.1.1) with both devices and no problems. (issue is my library is on the Gateway so my phone wants me to restore and resync with the Acer which I don't want to do... plus now the Gateway is just not acting right, and it all started with the itunes problem.

I wonder if the disk being referred to is actually your iPod which is not plugged in. Maybe something has stuck thinking the iPod should be there.
Try completely removing all the iTunes related programs according to this method.

Restart you PC and see if startup improves.
If it doesn't improve you need to consider the possibility that there is something else going on.
If The problem goes away, hopefully a fresh install will be OK.

Error message - and iTunes will not play anything at all

After scouring forums for similar issues, I have tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of iTunes with MacAfee firewall disabled. Nada. iTunes starts with an error message saying 'Configuration error, audio and video files may not play back correctly' (or similar). Library comes up and I can see my recent purchases, but nothing will play. Frustrating to say the least.
I am Windows 7, I have McAfee and Malwarebytes running.
What else can I try? This is extra infuriating as I have just purchased five albums of new music.

i have just formatted my laptop, reinstalled vista and patched it up, i think i have all the updates for it at the minute. i came to download and install itunes 8, it went in fine, then started up for the first time again, populated the play list an then went to sync up my touch, my laptop will recognise it and open the autoplay, however itunes never registered it, so i shut everything down and restarted, now whenever i try to open itunes both through the start menu and desktop icons but it just will not open. Task manager shows it as running and using memory but the program wont actually open, have tried uninstalling, reinstalling and restarting pc and trying it on another user, non of which have worked. Anyone heard of this or have any advice?

Try this. Disconnect the power cord from the Mac. Now hold the Mac's power button for 10 seconds. Plug the cord back into the Mac and try starting. If this doesn't work (and other things plugged into the wall plug do work) then you are due for a trip to the local Apple store.

My music is all in a folder in D drive and the folder is called I tunes Music. When I open the I Tunes program it gives me the option to go to library and then to add files. I want to add the entire folder as there are too many individual files(songs) to add individually. It would take much too long to add each file. How can I add the folder and have I tunes recognize all my songs in the library? I had things nicely working when I was using windows 7. Thanks

Apple has not announced expansion of iTunes U to any other countries, nor have they said what the barriers are to such expansion. Until Apple does decide to expand to your country, there's nothing you can do other than to let Apple know about your interest via their feedback page. The iTunes page is probably as appropriate as any other:
