It you delete the account, you don't delete the data on the account. So if you log back in, everything will sync back again.
If you are asking if the data will stay on the phone, you have the option to keep it or remove it. You might be better turning each service off one by one here, before actually deleting the account.

  • Re-installed Firefox wiht Dell and my bookmarks were lost

I was having a problem with Adobe Reader and Dell Tech support suggested re-installing Firefox. It worked but later I noticed all
my bookmarks were gone. Are they still on the computer capable of being restored?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

  • If I uninstall/reinstall Firefox, will I lose my bookmarks?

I want to uninstall then reinstall Firefox in an attempt to correct the following issues: (1) Firefox keeps prompting my user names/passwords, thus creating a security hazard; (2) Firefox is continually crashing. I want to know whether uninstalling firefox will cause me to lose my bookmarks, and if so, how can loss be prevented?

It should not be a problem, as long as you are careful. Note the delete settings option when uninstalling firefox will delete bookmarks etc for ALL installed versions of firefox.
Firefox attempts to retain the profile information, that include bookmarks etc when updating. It may still be prudent to consider other backup methods not entirely dependent on firefox.
The firefox 4 beta will install by default in a slightly different location, you are then able to run either the current or the beta version of firefox. It is recommended you set up a new profile for the new version of firefox. see

  • I try and install firefox 7 and it wants to reboot to finish uninstalling a previous version but rebooting and restarting doesn't help

I am using windows xp and firefox will not install.
I get an message that a restart is needed to complete the install of a previous version of firefox. Firefox is not currently installed but the install thinks it is. I have removed references to firefox from the registry and still have the problem, I checked with windows installer cleanup and it isn't there either

If files already have been downloaded then remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.<br />
You can also delete active-update.xml and possibly updates.xml (stores the update history).

  • Each morning I get a notice to download a Firefox security update. When I click install, I get a message saying Installing Firefox and Connecting to the update server. It never connects; the progress bar just spins all day.

Since shortly after installing Firefo 5 I get this message every time I start Firefox. A dialog box comes up that says Installing Firefox, followed by a spinning progress bar, followed by "connecting to the update server." It never progresses past this point and will stay this way indefinitely until I close the Window.
Also since installing Firefox 5, the program crashes at least once or twice a day and I have to quit and restart. Don't know if there's any relationship between the two issues.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

  • Installing Firefox with windows 7 64bit mode just does not work.

I have windows 7 64bit mode. I cannot install firefox, it crashes all the time when I open it. I know the problem is because my windows 7 is in 64bit mode. Can you (firefox support) or someone on this forum provide the simple and easy steps of getting it to work. Also can you (firefox) hurry up and release a 64bit version. I'm using google chrome and crazy browser as they seem to have no problems at all. I really want to use firefox but it just won't set up for me because I'm running win7 64bit mode. If I was running win7 32bit mode I wouldn't be having any issues. Has anyone out there got a simple step by step solution for this? It it mind boggling that with todays technology no one has a simple fix for this issue. Help!!!!!

I have been running Win 7 64 bit on an HP Pavilion lap for several months. The whole browser thing has been a nightmare. My work involves heavy duty internet research. Firefox crashes every few minutes. There is no specific event I can find that kicks this off, but running the latest Flash Players and Adobe Reader makes it a lot worse. In fact, I had to set up the adobe reader to not run within the Firefox window. I had to back off to an old version of adobe Reader and Flash Player to accomplish this. I love Firefox. I was disappointed to have to uninstall it as it was impossible to run searches with it.
So then it proved to be that IE either version 8 or 9 was even worse. I could not keep it up long enough to run a search.
So I installed Chrome which has some nice features, but it also crashes, albeit more gracefully so I do not lose my place and it makes a quick recovery but there are many online applications where Chrome just does not work.
My son also has Win7 64 bit and says he is also having the same problems.
I want my Firefox back! Please fix it.

  • How do I install Firefox updates? I have 13.0 and cannot install updates.

How do I install updates? I have tried everything on your website, and nothing works. I have a Mac 10.7.5 and have NEVER been able to install updates.
