If I re-subscribe my iTunes Match will I get my lost music back?

My PC recently decided to screw me over by deleting all the music I had.
The problem is my itunes Match subscription ended about 2 or 3 months ago.
My question is: If re-subscribe to it, will I be able to download my music?

HI
No. Do you have a back up?

I have nearly filled my iCloud storage with pictures. If I subscribe to iTunes match, will I still be able to access music via the cloud, or will I have to buy more storage space? Cheers.

Yes, but... you'll have to first index her music through your iTM subscription. So... you'd have to add her music into your own library first. Which.... would defeat the point of iTM I suspect in your case.

    one on my MacBook Pro
That's not an Apple ID. That is your admin account which you can view in System Preferencs > Accounts or Users & Groups.
If I switch from MobileMe to iCloud on my Mac (under the apple logo) will my devices work and sync in iCloud.  I have no idea how I go 2 IDs
Just use your current Apple ID when you setup your iCloud account that you use for your devices.

  • I have downloaded all my music from the cloud to my new iPhone and created playlists so I can listen to it when not it wifi like when on a plane. If I turn on iTunes Match will I still have this music still downloaded?

I have downloaded all my music from the cloud to my new iPhone and created playlists so I can listen to it when not it wifi like when on a plane. If I turn on iTunes Match will I still have this music still downloaded? The online information suggests all my music will be replaced. Will I have to download it again??

What you have on your computer is your iTunes library, not an iTunes "account."  The account that is related to iTunes is your Apple ID, which you use to sign in to the iTunes Store and make purchases.  It is also used with iCloud.  iPods (that are not iPod touch) are associated with your iTunes library, not to your Apple ID.
So, I think you probably just need to set up (or update) automatic syncing for the iPod.  If it's not set up to sync those new songs, iTunes still syncs the iPod, but it syncs nothing
In iTunes, if the sidebar (along left side of iTunes window) is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.  In the sidebar, the iPod appears under DEVICES, when it is connected.
Select the iPod in iTunes.  There is a row of buttons, starting with Summary.  Click on Music next to Summary.  This is the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box for Sync Music (if it's not already checked).  If your iTunes music library fits completely on the iPod, you can choose to sync Entire music library.  Otherwise, you can choose to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  On the lists below, checkmark the playlists, artists, albums, and/or genres that you want on the iPod.  When you click Apply, the songs from your selection sync to the iPod.
One convenient way to set this up (if you can't sync the entire iTunes music library) is to create a new playlist in your iTunes library.  Name it "iPod Songs" (or whatever you want).  Put ALL songs that you want on the iPod on this playlist, including those new songs.  Back on the iPod's Music screen in iTunes, select this playlist under Playlists.  Going forward, to update songs on the iPod, just update that playlist in your iTunes library (add/remove songs).  The next time you connect the iPod (or click the Sync button), iTunes automatically syncs the same changes to the iPod.

I do not want itunes match to  sync  or upload the little bit of purchased music i have on my itunes now..Please Help Thanks..

    Hello gogreenj14,
If you had iTunes Match updated with all of your non iTunes purchased content already, then yes, when you enable iTunes Match with the following article it will have all the content that has been uploaded to iTunes Match will be available for download.
iTunes: How to add a computer or iOS device to iTunes Match
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4913
Open the latest version of iTunes on the computer you intend to add. You can download the latest version of iTunes here.
Sign in with the Apple ID you use with iTunes Match.
Choose Store > Turn On iTunes Match.
Click the Add This Computer button.
When prompted, enter your Apple ID password.
iTunes will automatically begin scanning your computer's library for matches.
A status indicator will allow you to track progress. You may also manually pause and resume the process at any time by clicking the Stop or Start button.
Once iTunes has completed matching and uploading your iTunes library, your music in iCloud will be integrated into your local music library. A download button will appear to the right of any content that you have in iCloud that doesn't already exist on your computer.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • Once I subscribe to iTunes Match, will it work on all MACs using that ID?

Home and Work computers both have my APple ID for iTunes. Will this work with ITunes Match?

Here's a related issue - If you have music imported from a CD to one Mac, and you subscribe to ITunes Match from that machine, and then authorize a second Mac (which is pretty instantaneous as Douglas mentioned), the music library now shows up on the second Mac, as all located in iCloud.  However, I can't find a way to download from iCloud to the second Mac so as to have the music also in the second machine, which is not always connected to the internet, particuarly while traveling, except to click on one song at a time.  The instructions say it can be done as "download all" on an iPhone or iPad, where is it on the second Mac?

  • If I subscribe to iTunes Match, will all my CDs be there for me to transfer into itunes on my new PC? Thank you.

Hi, I recently spent quite a bit of time uploading my CD collection onto itunes, using my PC. Unfortunately, my PC is now unusable and stupidly, I had not backed up itunes, so have lost all the music I uploaded. I had not subscribed to iTunes Match when I started uploading CDs. If I were to subscribe to iTunes Match, would my CD collection be there for me to download onto my new PC? Thanks for your advice.

Very concise!! I thought that would be the case but it was worth asking. Many thanks.

  • I have downloaded my new itunes how can i get all my music back

i have downloaded my new itunes how can i get all my music back

Itunes was deleted?  Or your itunes library was deleted?
If it was just itunes, then your music should still be there.  Just reinstall itunes.
Otherwise just use your backup copy of your comuter to put everything back.

  • I've just subscribed for iTunes Match & it's wiped al my music - HELP!

And it's wiped my entire music library on all my devices (iPad & iPhone).
Is it instant? Does it take time to populate?
The help and support us very unclear.

This topic has actually been covered in-depth on this forum.
iTunes Match only scans an iTunes library. If the initial scan, match and upload process has not completed in iTunes and you enable the service on an iOS device then any music on the device that is not yet in the cloud (because it hasn't been processed by the scan in iTunes yet) will be removed from the device.
If you enable the service on an iOS device that has music stored on it that is not in the iTunes library that music will be removed from the device. If the music is not backed up somewhere then it will have to be re-ripped from the original CD.

  • My daughter and I use the same PC. We have seperate iTunes accounts. . When I subscribed to iTunes Match all her music appeared on my iPhone. What can I do to resolve this

My daughter and I use the same PC for downloading onto iTunes
    We have different iTunes accounts
Mine has far less content than hers as you'd expect
My iPhone only showed the music held in my account until I subscribed to iTunes Match At that point all her music loaded onto my iPhone
Why? and what do I do to resolve this please?

iTunes Match is associated with a specific Apple Id. If you use the same Id to enable iTunes Match on your IOS device you will see the same Songs.
Once iTune Match is enabled on a device (your shared computer for example), Apple cares about not allowing another Apple Id to be associated with that same device for a period of 90 days.  Thus having more than one Apple Id associated with a single device to support multiple active iTunes Match subscriptions is simply not supported.
Whilst your music would be combined, you can from a single device associate more than one library with iTunes Match - until you can access separate devices this is perhaps the best compromise.

I would like to know if after subscribing to ITunes Match I will be able to delete my library from my PC and, by these means, liberating the disk space currently used by my music

Your purchased music is availble for download again at no cost.  If you have iTunes match service, you can download your matched music.

    Hi Mario,,,,
I tried everything in your reply,,, thank you again,, I had done that once before and all was working great,,
I have just now tried the Reinstall via iTunes, about 20 into the download, the iTunes logo on the phone disappeared, and the Apple Logo appeared again,,, I waited until the iTunes stated that the download had finished, and the install was in progress,,,
Nothing happened, still the Apple Logo was visual on the screen, iTunes never recognised the phone which it was on my iTunes account previously,,,
Still just a bunch of lines, maybe 5 or 6 so small writing,, I personally can not read what it is telling me, someone said it reads, incorrect shutdown,,,????????
    Please advise,???
I am now at a loss,,, I really became excited when I saw the iTunes icon after putting the phone into restore,,,???
