If I redeem my itunes voucher on my computer, can it also be used on my iphone? Or can it just be redeemed on the one device?
i have been given an itunes voucher as a gift and want to redeem it on my laptop, but i am currently waiting for my phone contract to end so I can upgrade to an iphone. If i redeem my voucher on my laptop through itunes, does it just stay connected to my account meaning i can use it whenever i log into my itunes account from any device, or solely for use on a single device?
thanks.
It is redeemed to your account at Apple and can be used wherever you can log onto the iTunes Store (computer, device, etc.)

My child received a $50 voucher for Xmas but doesn't want to use it all at once. I'd like to remove the voucher code so I can purchase items from iTunes using my usual account. Is this possible?
Hi czigrand,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Currently, you can gift dollar amounts or individual items (EG. songs) on the iTunes Store. See this article for more information:
In the iTunes Store, you can gift a dollar amount or specific music, movies, TV shows, or apps from your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Mac, or PC. Follow these steps to send a gift from the iTunes Store.

i want to transfer my itunes to a new computer, can i do it from my ipod ?
Hey poppy808,
Thanks for the question. The following resource outlines how to transfer your iTunes Library to a new computer. It also mentions how you can use most iPods as an external drive (in the External drive section):

my computer hard drive died rather suddenly so i had no chance to do a back up or any thing. i put itunes on my new computer and got my purchased music but my ipod will not sync and i cannot get my playlists onto the computer. is there any way to get my playlists on my new computer and also get my ipod to sync. it is a waste of time to purchase new music and i do not want to purchase a new ipod since i have so much memory left on this one.
Thank you all for your replies. Here is what i ended up doing. I cannot afford any 3rd party software so i went to itunes and manually entered all my playlists. As I had indicated my purchased music was on my new computer just not the playlists and I could not sync my ipod. After I rebuilt all my playlists I tried to restore my ipod to factory defaults/new. All of the steps called for in apple support and elsewhere were not available to me. I connected my ipod, went to my computer, right clicked my ipod, and formatted. That wiped my ipod so when I connected to itunes it then gave me a restore option. I did the restore and all is good in the empire again. I can now buy new music and sync my ipod so I am a happy camper.
Thanks to all. -
I'm using iTunes 11.0.2 on my Macbook Air running Lion, to sync with my iPhone 5. With this latest release of iTunes, there's no option to uncheck syncing of apps. For a while now, iTunes have been working fine- it didn't sync apps from my iPhone to my Mac... until this morning. I only have Podcasts sync checked and every day, I just plug in my iPhone and click Sync and it worked great- it only copied my podcasts to the phone.
Today, I did the same thing- downloaded new podcasts, plugged in my phone, and clicked Sync. It backed up my data, copied my podcasts, and THEN it starts to copy all the apps from my iPhone into my Mac. This is the first time it's doing this- I'm sure the team removed that feature from this latest iTunes and I think this is a bug. I unchecked the Apps checkbox from Library in Preferences- I click sync, and again it starts to sync all the apps, AND the Apps checkbox becomes checked again.
I've restarted iTunes many times and rebooted, didn't work.I have the same problem on both my iPad and my iPhone and it also started with iTunes 10.0.2.

Syncing to a "New" Computer or replacing a "crashed" Hard Drive: Apple Support Communities -
I had my ipod touch and iphone synced to itunes on my PC and basically managed my photos and music, etc. from there. However recently my computer died and I am considering replacing it with an ipad eventually. Can I still add stuff onto my two devices? And if so, am I limited to apple store purchases only? Can I retain all the photos and non-apple store downloaded music that is presently on these two devices? Any guidance in this area will be very welcome!
Morning @mb,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at this article:

Music imported from a CD or another source
iTunes cannot transfer this media back to a computer. Make sure to back up your iTunes Library, or you can use iTunes Match2.

For the first time I downloaded iTunes on my computer in Illinois about 2 months ago. I never bought a tune. I went to Florida and downloaded iTunes on my computer in Florida. I then purchased my first iTune. When I came back to Illinois I thought i would be able to find the song I had downloaded in Florida but I cannot find/access it. Did I do something wrong by not preparing the song while in FL for access in IL? Can I access the song now from my IL computer? Thanks.
Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer. -
Itunes keeps saying this computer already authorized, but will not sync with iphone ?
Itunes will not sync with my IPhone 5s any longer. It keeps saying that my PC is unauthorized. But, when I go to authorize, it says it's already authorized, but of course, will not sync even though it's logged in and authorized. ???? *** ?
Usually that means you have content, such as apps or media, on the mobile device that was acquired from Apple under a different Apple ID than the one you're using with iTunes. The only way out is to remove that content, or else to sign in to the iTunes Store with the other ID.
