  • My time capsule backup space is full yet, how can i extend the backup space?

how can i extend the backup space?

    Two possibilities:
Add a new USB hard drive to the Time Capsule and start a new full backup and move forward from that point.
(Unfortunately, it is not possible to have Time Machine simply continue backups on a new drive. You have to start over with a new full backup.)
Or, if you decide that you really do not need all the old backups on the Time Capsule, the disk can be erased and you can start over with a new full backup and move forward.

  • I have forgotten my restrictions code, and don't have an iTunes backup on a PC. How can I reset the code or find my code without using a PC or jailbreaking/hacking into my iPod?

    iPod 5 generation. ios 8.1.2
I forgot the restrictions code, and I'm trying to reset my iPod, but because of restrictions, it won't let me! I cannot do the thing with the computer, because I never backed it up on a PC before. I've also tried the so-called 'default' code, and it didn't work, either.

    There is no default code.
    - Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and restore via iTunes. For how to restore: iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    You have to either:
    - Restore from a backup that was make before you added the Restrictions passcode. If you restore from a backup made with the Restrictions passcode the Restrictions passcode is also restored.
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod

    Hello ShannonT-1977,
It sounds like you need to look at your iCloud storage data to see what is taking up all the space. You should be able to do that with this article:

  • HT204053 is there a way to backup about 50 devices (some Iphones, some Ipads) to the same Icloud account

I am the sole IT for a company that is using Iphones, and Ipads for all of our sales people.  what we have had happen in the past is a sales person decides to quit but before he does, he will wipe out all of the info (customer contacts, sales information...) off of the Iphone, and Ipad.  we are wanting to backupall of these devices(40-50 of them) to either the Icloud, or maybe there is another option?  What I was reading is that the Icloud limits the conection to 10 devices.  is there maybe a business icloud, or something like that?  thanks for the info.
    Jake

    Welcome to the Apple community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
When you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

  • I tried to update the iTunes software on my iPhone today, and now the phone won't work unless I "restore" it.  I don

I tried to update my iTunes software on my iPhone today and plugged it into my laptop.  Before the process was complete, I received an error message saying I had to "restore" my iPhone before it would work with iTunes.  Even more importantly, and troublesome, is the fact that now my phone won't even work at all.  I can't turn the iPhone on, and all the screen shows is the iTunes icon with a picture of the white power cord.  Can someone advise if there is a way to update the software without restoring my iPhone, which will cause me to lose everything on the phone (much of which I have not backed up yet)?  Last, is my stuff already backed up by iCloud?  I believe I have sellected that option on my phone, but honestly, have never really understood what iCloud is or does.  Thanks in advance for any assistance/advice.

why dont someone answering gthis ******* problem..

1.)we need generate the report of tablespace used, free, archive...There are DBA_* views that expose the necessary information. They are documented in the Reference Manual.
2.)How can we generate the Backup status report alsoThere are rman commands that give that. They are documented in the Backup and Recovery User's Guide.

Learning how to look things up in the documentation is time well spent investing in your career. To that end, you should drop everything else you are doing and do the following:
    Go to [url tahiti.oracle.com]tahiti.oracle.com.
Locate the link for your Oracle product and version, and click on it.
You are now at the entire documentation set for your selected Oracle product and version.
    <b><i><u>BOOKMARK THAT LOCATION</u></i></b>
Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what is available here. Take special note of the "books" and "search" tabs. Under the "books" tab (for 10.x) or the "Master Book List" link (for 11.x) you will find the complete documentation library.
Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what <b><i><u>kind</u></i></b> of documentation is available there by simply browsing the titles under the "Books" tab.
Open the Reference Manual and spend a few minutes looking through the table of contents to get familiar with what <b><i><u>kind</u></i></b> of information is available there.
Do the same with the SQL Reference Manual.
Do the same with the Utilities manual.
You don't have to read the above in depth. They are <b><i><u>reference</b></i></u> manuals. Just get familiar with <b><i><u>what</b></i></u> is there to <b><i><u>be</b></i></u> referenced. Ninety percent of the questions asked on this forum can be answered in less than 5 minutes by simply searching one of the above manuals.
Then set yourself a plan to dig deeper.
    - Read a chapter a day from the Concepts Manual.
    - Take a look in your alert log. One of the first things listed at startup is the initialization parms with non-default values. Read up on each one of them (listed in your alert log) in the Reference Manual.
    - Take a look at your listener.ora, tnsnames.ora, and sqlnet.ora files. Go to the Network Administrators manual and read up on everything you see in those files.
    - When you have finished reading the Concepts Manual, do it again.

  • HT1766 When Apple does a backup of my iPhone 5 on my computer, where can I find the files?

I have just done a computer backup of my iPhone 5. The backup did not indicate where on my computer the backup files are stored. Where can I find the location of the backup files for iPhone 5 on my computer?

Where iTunes backups are stored on your computer
The folder where your backup data are stored varies depending on the computer's operating system. Make sure the backup folder is included in your periodic data-backup routine.
iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, and choose Run. Type %appdata% and clickOK.
    Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata% and press the Return key.

What I need to know is there any other way how to track that iphone using the serial number? I always have a passcode for 1 minute on it, so I am sure it was locked when I lost it. I hope someone can give me a valuable answer. Thanks!
Technically, the phone CAN be tracked using the "serial" number, but no one will do that for you.  If your phone is offline, there's no way of reaching it.  Most likely, it's already been restored and either put up for sale on eBay, or is being used by the theives themselves.
Sorry, but there's nothing else you can do other than report it to your carrier, the police, and change all your passwords to any account that might have been in use on the phone.

  • I am trying to restore my catalog having previously done a back up to an external hard drive and subsequently an incremental backup. I am using Photoshop Elements 11 and the only option given in the restore procedure is to open a .tly file.

I have done this but now the restore function is asking for yet another file, which i assume to be the original back up, but that is the only .tly file since the only other relevant file appears to be called catalog.buc but that is just not visible when using the restore function? How do I continue from here with this restoration of my catalog?

    Martin_Had a écrit:
Thank you Andaleeb. I appear to have an old backup of a year ago, and a more recent full back up plus an incremental backup.
Regrettably I don't really understand what is going on because firstly the restore does not complete its cycle so I cannot see what that backup file contains and secondly all I have read would suggest that the .tly file is the full backup and the catalog.buc file is the incremental backup. For the present, the catalog shows the photos for 2014 which makes me think I might have backed from the old back up file.
I am minded to create another catalog and try again.
Any views on what I can do?
A backup (full or incremental) is a folder, not a file. It contains renamed pictures file copies as well a copies of the files and subfolders of the original catalog. The catalog.buc is a renamed copy of the database of your original catalog while the backup.tly. That backup.tly file contains the information to restore the renamed pictures where you decide, the original location or a new custom one. You can't do anything with the backup yourself, only the restore process can do the job if it finds the backup.tly file. In the case of an incremental backup, you have to tell the restore process where to find the incremental backup folder; it finds the backup.tly file in that folder and finds what is to restore there; then it asks you for the previous backup folder (in your case the full backup); you then browse to that full backup folder so that the restore process can find find the backup.tly there; the restore then deals with the rest of the files to restore.
