If I restore my iPhone, how can I access the iCloud backup?

I accidentally let my 4-year-old daughter mess with my iPhone 4, she set a passcode, and now my iPhone has locked me out. I backed up everything to iCloud but its not synced to any computer I have in my possession right now. If I plug it in, bring up iTunes, and restore, how can I access everything I backed up to iCloud? And also does the iCloud information back up to the individual computer or to iTunes itself, I don't want to wipe out all my information and start from scratch if iCloud doesn't let me access it. Help!?

On iPhone turn WiFi ON. Go to Settings App and turn iCloud ON. Select the data you want back on your iPhone.

You can perform an update of the iOS in iTunes. Connect the device to the computer and iTunes and update. You cannot see the content of the iCloud backup on the PC. It is not a file for you to view and choose content. A restore from a backup is all or none. As far as content is concerned, you have dates for backups, and you would more than likely want to save the newest backup. If she have an iCloud Backup, she can restore from iCloud backup.

I purchased a new iPhone 5S yesterday and started to use a former iPhone 4S iCloud backup to restore it but as it took 2.5Go of "others" space I decided to reset the iPhone and start from scratch.
I have now properlly restored my new iPhone and would like to remove the old iCloud backup but when I try to erase it (from iCloud submenu or my Mac's iCloud "manage account") it says that it can't be removed as it is being used to restore an iDevice. Is there a way to do that ?

If the lock only came from restore of someone else's backup, you can get rid of that by doing factory restore. That will not help you if your story is not true.

Your camera roll is included in your device backup by default, unless you excluded it in settings. However, you can't view the photos and videos (or anything else) in the backup; you can only restore it to your device. Later this fall, iCloud Photo Library will be introduced along with iOS 8. At that time, you can start storing and accessing your photos and videos in iCloud (see https://www.apple.com/icloud/preview/).
If you want to store your camera roll, import it to your computer using your usb cable as explained here: iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer.

How can I access the iCloud email on used iPad 2

I purchased two iPad 2's that were sold to a salvage company by an insurance company. One works fine, the other says it is registered to someones iCloud account. I understand that there is not a way to restore or bypass this. Apple says you have to contact the person, however it masks the email address. I found the answer to my question.
When you attach a device (iPhone, iPad) to your Mac, in iTunes 12 in appears as a tiny icon in the second "row" of the iTunes display. Click the icon and the familiar iTunes display for the device appears. From there, on the Summary screen, you can see the dates of the backups of the device (iCloud and backup to the computer). You can also use the button to backup to the computer.

I did back up my old phone just prior to taking it to the Apple Store.

Well what you can do is update to ios5 then use icloud to sync your calandar up to your phone then restore your phone as new and when prompted in the new phone setup put in your icloud username and password and you will have your calandar events back.

Welcome to the Apple community.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID, verify the changes, enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

What is the situation of your Mac now? In hat way did it crash? A hardware problem with the drive? Does the system not start properly? Does iPhoto not launch? Do you still have the iPhoto Library on your mac or a backup, so we could try to rescue the photos there?

On the iPhone you cannot access the "package contents" - IOS hides the file system from the users. To restore photos from your phone share all iPhoto photos to your Camera Roll, that are not already in the Camera Roll, and then connect the iPhone via USB and import the Camera Roll to iPhoto or Image Capture. To retrieve photos from a corruptrd iPhoto Library on your Mac we need to know the version number and more about the "crash" you experienced, the state of your mac, the system, the data. Please post back with more details.

That's Activation Lock. You will need to remember the Apple ID and password you used to set up the phone.
If you can't remember them, you can go to iforgot.apple.com to try to recover the information.
If you are the original owner of the phone & have proof of purchase, you can try calling Apple to see if they can assist also.
