If I restore my Iphone, will all my pictures still be in icloud on my computer?
I want to get all the pictures from my iPhone (iOS 7.1.2) and keep them on my laptop, I thought the easiest way to do this would be through iCloud (Windows 7) , but if I restore my phone, I will not be restoring the iPhone. Will the stay there or be deleted?
Hello there AoifeLan.
The following Knowledge Base article provides some great steps for importing photos from your iPhone:
iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
Import photos in Windows Vista or Windows 7
Import photos or video from your device to your PC:
Connect your iOS device to your computer. If the AutoPlay window appears, click "Import Pictures and Videos using Windows," then skip to step 4. If the "Import Pictures and Video" dialog appears, skip to step 4.
If the AutoPlay dialog doesn't appear, you might need to check your settings.
Choose Start > Computer.
Right-click the logo for your device and click "Import pictures and videos."
Click Import Settings.
Click the Browse button by the "Import to" field and choose where to import your Camera Roll's photos. By default, these will import to the My Pictures folder.
Select "Always erase from device after copying."
If you delete photos after you import them, you can reduce the size of your Camera Roll and improve backup and restore times.
If you want to import the photos to additional computers, don't select this option.
If you don't want Windows to delete photos from your camera on subsequent imports, remember to come back here and deselect this option when you're finished.
After setting your import options, click OK to dismiss the window.
Choose a tag, if desired, and click Import. This screen appears only while the import process is active.
After the import is complete, Windows Photo Gallery will show your photos and videos in Recently Imported.
If some of your photos didn't import from your device's Camera Roll, you can copy the photos to your computer using Windows Explorer or import the photos using software such as Windows Live Photo Gallery or Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 or later.
Copy the photos to your computer using Windows Explorer:
Connect the iOS device to the computer.
Choose Start > Computer.
Double-click the logo for the device to browse its folders.
Go to [iOS device]\Internal Storage\DCIM\100APPLE.
Copy the content in this folder to your computer.
Disconnect your device. Open the Camera Roll and delete the photos you imported.
To copy the photos to your computer using Windows Live Photo Gallery or Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 or later, see the documentation for that application.
Learn more about transferring media from your device to a PC using Windows Vista or Windows 7.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,
Pedro.

Hi I tried to do an update on my Iphone 4 hardware but it failed (dont knoyw why) I followed instructions to restore my Iphone unfortunatel all im left with is an image of itunes with a usb and a dead phone can someone help???
Hey, I aggree with Tempelton for the most part, but if you are an advanced user on the computer on the phone, there is one thing you can try. There is a program called RecBoot, which might help you, and here is a page that might help you. http://jaxov.com/2010/05/recboot-iphone-recovery-mode/ If you are not an advanced user, I would NOT recomend using RecBoot, and just proceeding with the restore. A little consolation could be that you probably had Photo Stream on, and you might have been backing up to iCloud, which should mean you'll have some stuff after the resote. Sorry this happened!

Any photos in your camera roll, not previously imported to your computer, you will lose. You should be regularly importing these photos, as the iPhone's camera roll is not designed as a storage device.
Had you been regularly syncing/backing up, you wouldn't lose anything. Now you know, don't backup your data, and you will eventually lose it all, guaranteed. -
HT1296 If I restore my iphone will it erase everything on my phone
If I restore my iphone will it erase everything on my phone?
Depends on how you restore. if you perform a sync first, to create a current backup, you can then restore from that backup. If you restore as a new device, all data on your phone will be erased.

Hi. I clicked some snaps from my iphone and post that without copying it i restored the iphone with all apps etc available from the backup taken. How do i get back the photos which were clicked earlier. Is there a way to get it back?? Please help
Yes i had not taken back up before restoring it. However i was just going through some links on the net and there is a software available for MAC to retrieve such lost data. But the point is will the said software work on iphone as the OS is not MAC..
Will have to give a try to this. If successful will share it with all. Anyone else has any idea about this please so share. -

If I reset my iPhone 4s will all my pictures music & apps be deleted ?
No.
Reset is very similar to rebooting your computer.
Restore will erase everything as will erase all content and settings -
I wan to restore my phone, will all my photos and music be lost how do i save it
If i restore my phone will all my photos and music be lost, how do I back it up?
It is in recovery mode. Anything on the phone is already gone. If you were syncing your contacts to a compatible address book on your computer or cloud service, then you'll be fine. If not, then they are gone.

If I delete all the photos in My Photo Stream in my iPhone, will they be deleted from Dropbox and iCloud?
They will be deleted from iCloud any other devices that are sharing the account/photo stream. They shouldn't be deleted from Dropbox. As I understand it, Dropbox only automatically uploads photos, it doesn't automatically delete photos.

If I restore my iPhone, will it delete the content of my photo stream?
If I restore my iPhone, will it delete the content of my photo stream?
Nope. I have restored my iPod many times (4+) and it didn't ask me to purchase it again. But... if you try this using iTunes 8, you will experience less problems.

Hey - if I restore my iPhone will I lose the music I've purchased from it?
A restore will erase your iTunes media but you can re download iTunes purchases without being charged again.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
"With iTunes 10.3 and iOS 4.3.3 or later, you can download your previous purchases directly to your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or computer.1" -
I had to restore my iphone 4s. all of my pictures are missing. where can i find them/
-Connect your iPhone with your Computer
-Open iTunes
-If a notification for restoring from an older backup appers, do that
-If not, do right-click your iPhone (you fond your iPhone on the left side of the iTunes window) and choose "Restore from an older Backup " (I'm not sure if t's exactly named like this, because my iTunes is in German)
Let me know if it works -
Good day! All of my data was deleted after i updated my os to os5.1.1. from then on I didnt restore it again. Today, I accidentally restored my iphone and all of my recent photos were deleted. how can I retrieve it again? thanks!
If you have been regularly syncing/backing up your iPhone with iTunes or iCloud, you may try restoring it from the last backup.
Read how to restore from a backup.

Make sure to turn OFF automatic syncing in iTunes before connecting your iPhone.
Preferences - devices - "check" prevent iPhone/iPod from automatic syncing
